Very helpful. I take on hound fosters. Eating on the floor seems normal to them, so using this technique will fit right in; they are also used to making decisions in their own. Thank you!
Good sir, I found you with a viral video of yours, where people dramatically commented that you beat your dog😅. Funny enough, that one video was probably the only training video that made sense to me as i'm a new "pet parent" So i'm binging on your channel's videos and i indeed now understand, better my puppy's behaviour a bit more or rather how her interest is driven. I can't wait to see myself grow with her (I'm the one in training definitely 😂) merci beaucoup = thank you so much 🙏🏾
What if your dog just stands there and doesn’t sit? Are we waiting for the sit? He will sit out side of the kennel but I can’t get him to sit inside of the kennel.
Great vids. what if you dont want your dog to live in a cage once they get older or ever? can you do this with like there dog bed or a certain space ? this question is because i dont live in a city enviroment but more country. thanks
The kennel isn’t for them to be punished - it’s to trigger relaxation and rest - anxious or nervous dogs need to be in a place that feels safe so they can decompress. So we teach them by positive association to their food and treats that this is a place they can go to anytime. We never want them to think of it as a punishment but also we don’t wanna give a dog freedom to roam when they’re not ready for it The dog earns freedom over time by consistently behaving in a pleasant manner
