Although this video is two years old, it’s gold. Thank you for the video. My jindo doesn’t like the leash and always likes to hit the end of the leash.
So tonight, I did 60 laps, ten meter spans and my boy is doing a lot better. He’s giving me more eye contact and engagement. Now I’m dizzy and cold but I’m happy. Thank you.

This is great! When I do this people think I am being mean to my dog and not letting my dog walk around. They are the ones that dont control their dog. Thank you for all that you do. I do some of these things but its taking awhile for my pup. He will barely be 3 months.

3 months! That's awesome, that's a good place to start building structure and creating rules and boundaries, it will save you a lot of time in the future and you can enjoy him way sooner!

Eric, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I have a tough dog on my hands and I acknowledge that every single mistake he does is my fault, so I am always looking for new tricks + I hate punishing them physically, which is why your way works best for me. Thank you again and keep doing you! Love from Slovenia.

Thanks so much for commenting, I love to hear that we're all in it together when it comes to how we punish them. I try really hard not to raise my voice or be physical, instead just taking away things or adding things to prevent them from doing the behaviors. We're all learning!

I live by a very busy road and people walk by all the time and that is when my dog barks, how do you control this behavior inside?

    • @ericandcaprithepup

There are many possible ways, the first being you can start teaching him to go to place instead of the window, restrict his access to the window by teaching him boundary. - I realize it's a lot to explain without a video so I will keep this in mind and try to make a video that will benefit you!

QUESTION: how does a dog remember your command after a certain amount of time has passed since you 1st said it but when you're suppost to award/correct it loses its point after a second or two?

7:55 Capri understood that he needs to get Ella! Can't believe it. Is Ella your Weimaraner? I almost decided for a Weimaraner, but took a Plotthound instead - and have a bit of regrets because Plotthounds do not naturally have a lot of focus to their human. But I think mine is on a good way in terms of obedience.
She had a bit of possession issues, that was how I found your video about Drax the Rottweiler - you gained my respect there because of how you didn't have the least bit of fear, just calmly kneeling in front of the huge dog and working with it instead of standing over the dog and keeping it away with a prong. And while I think that punishment definitely has it's place, my experience with possessive aggression and punishment has been that positive work / counterconditioning works 100 times better.

Can you do that with older dogs?
I adopted my dog maybe 6 years ago (she's now 8) and she was barking at everything since the beginning, but she's never aggressive so I thought "hey...dogs bark...she's a dog".
Until one day that barking got her in trouble with a pitbull.
The pitbull was neutral but when my dog started barking the pitbull went straight for her throat.
(It wasn't an aggressive bark, it never is)
