    Honestly, this channel deserves way more subscribers. Great work

    Glenfiddich 12 was my first experience with whisky, and is what made me fall in love. I still enjoy it, even if I think there are better things available, even at the same price (50USD for 750ml here, VA, USA).
    IMHO Monkey Shoulder is just... better for a lower price, but Glenfiddich 12 is still good.

      I totally agree with this comment. Who wants to sit through 5, 6, 7, 8 minutes of nonsense before getting to the nitty gritty? Give the key facts/background/pricing; do the tasting; and draw conclusions. You always do that well Vin PF.

    Great re-review Vin. I’ve gone back to my firsts drams for this reason too. I’ve noticed some that tasted great are now feeling a bit watered down lol but I still feel they are great bottles to have. Cheers

      Yeah I definitely get that too. I am also getting a lot more notes from them but I for sure prefer the high abvs these days

    I recently reviewed this, it is a nice starter whisky and was surprised that it burnt my nose a little. I couldn't remember it being like that from memory but now it is a little harsh which is surprising for being only 40%. Great review, cheers Vin. Enjoying this 'series' to celebrate the 3 years.

      Actually I was impressed coming back to it too. Maybe it's improved skill in tasting? Either way, its better than it has to be for the price!

      @@NoNonsenseWhisky Possibly could be the improved tasting. I think it is exactly what you pay for really. Cheers :)

    The 12 Year Old Glenfiddich is perfect for opening up the palate. It's a decent mid week nothing too exciting sipper too.
    I haven't got a bottle of this at the moment but it's sixteen quid in Spain and I'm back soon. The 15 Year Old distillers edition is excellent if you're looking for more oomph with your Glenfiddich. The Project XX too.

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  5 лет назад

      I keep hearing good things about that distillers edition. Really must get it!

    I think the 12 is OK but find the 15 is better.

      I had a bottle of the Solero 15 wasn't the greatest a little disappointing to be honest, I still think Glenmorangie is better for a go to whisky, buy hey each to our own.

      @NoNonsenseWhisky  5 лет назад +2

      Tbh I remember not thinking much of the 15 either. A lot of hoohah about solera vatting

    I am very curious not about the whiskey but about the map behind him. Why are India and some parts of the UK a bit green and all the other beige?

    • @NoNonsenseWhisky
      @NoNonsenseWhisky  3 года назад +3

      The map is actually a 'scratch map'. The idea being that at the start it's all gold.
      I scratch off the gold over countries when I try a whisky from that country and it reveals a colour underneath
