@jomarthegreat1 - The only "canned" audio (purchased FX) were the gun shots and the 3 siren sounds. The rest of it was weeks of splattering rotten foot, spilling 50 pounds of cooked pasta from a garbage can, tearing up styrofoam, triggering drills and kitchen mixers (for robot movements), and layering about a hundred other sounds that i recorded in my studio. i got CRAZY into sound design recently, and i super love it. it's JUST like making a song! i'll post a "making of" on my 2nd channel.
@insanityisme - Took me about a month. The animation part was relatively quick considering stop mo's notoriously laborious history. Most of it was back-and-forth gun shooting, which went quickly. Walking took longer, talking took longer. all in all about 7 full 12-hour days for 6 mins of animation that I chopped down to 3 in post production. Sound design took about 2 weeks. lots of sound effects layers. upwards of 100 tracks of squishes, pops, bangs, buzzes, and clanks.
jack.what in the world made you imagine this crazy claymation? what made you think of putting funny faces on half bodies and have them hold guns> what made you think of shooting fruit? and that mechanix robot thingy, what made you think of it picking up fruit to shoot and giving the ok or no with green and red lights? and why was the banana spared? enquiring minds want to know!!
@jackcontemusic - awesome! I learned about sound design in school a little bit, and even got some experience doing post audio (it was part of my final exam actually)... I've had this handheld recorder sitting on my desk for a while now and I want to get out and record some stuff and design some sounds of my own. You've inspired me!
Proud to say i watched this when it first came out when I was 10, and I honestly didnt know it had so a low view count. No idea how i came across this either, but i love it.
Claymation gave me nightmares when I was younger and this would have been no exception. Still gives me the creeps but in a good, I'm going to go watch a horror movie and like it kind of way xD. This was pretty awesome. I'm puzzled by how you made the fruit explode frame by frame but I like it :3
No one will forget the battle of fruit hill, where jam flowed like a river. Little green men - good men - died doing what they loved: defending the people from vitamins...

I wanted to comment on the lack of music, but I guess this doesn't need any more jams.
