@The Legendary Overlord I don't think surfaces needed to have moon dust, moon dust itself was just capable of conducting portals. So certain surfaces that don't conduct need moon dust paint, but many of the plain concrete walls in portal 2 conducted portals without paint.

Wilo Polis the walls in the test chamber might be. But several concrete walls in the cave Johnson area, which would have been built before they had moon rocks, still conducted portals.
A handheld portal device isn’t super useful if it needs one type of specially designed walls to work.

@Lalrivunga Hnamte I don't think so. Example, when you ride a bike and increase the speed, there is many force and pressure at front that will make you slow down. Even when there is no or low pressure or force below you when you falling from the portal, there may have a vacuum state below and above you that make you slow down if not float.

always loved this short film!
I think that this is the first time this video has come across my feed since it first came out. The fact that the director of this would go on to direct media that would become major parts of pop culture absolutely astonishes me. Hell, even the way he put such a dramatic spin on what was just a puzzle game for people E-10+ is amazing. I love seeing the work of people who are now household names back when they first begun.

This is exactly how I imagined a portal movie would start. It's beautiful and perfect. You monster.
If they did do a Portal movie, it would most definitely not follow the Portal story line.
not really, there are plenty of flaws to this. The effects are pretty low quality(For any movie), the actor was bad, the practical effects were bad. The fact that she mastered the portal gun in a few seconds is not a really good way to start something off... It took most people at least 30 minutes to understand how the portal gun works in game...
Then again this is only a RUclips video...

One little detail I think is really creative is that when she fires a portal, the wall cracks around the portal. It's a really subtle detail, and it didn't appear in the game, but I really like the sense of realism it lends. Well played, filmmakers! Well played indeed!

I remember seeing this when it first came out and really liking it, but now that I see it again, it bothers me that there are human guards. I know it adds to the sense of urgency, but the beauty of the game is that you're basically alone. It's still very well done.

Some of these late recommendations seem normal considering they only pop up after I've searched for similar videos (like when you look up a specific motorcycle crash and suddenly every crash video on RUclips is recommended).
