I am enjoying your videos a lot! I was lucky enough to visit the Opera House 11 years ago but we only got to see the lobby as they weren't giving tours that day since they were rehearsing for a ballet performance that night. I did see the chandelier from the street though...lol. Even just seeing it through the window, it was stunning. Sadly I couldn't get a decent photo since there was construction going on in the street and equipment in the way.l
I think that Christine would have been offered a dressing room for the first time when she was given this first opportunity to sing the lead role in this opera. I don’t think that she had used that dressing room before hence why the Phantom appears behind the mirror in the dressing room for the first time.

Oh my goodness that's going to be hard to figure out now. I'll see what I can find for you, it was so hard to find footage of the stage and not just close up of the actors... I am sure I will come across it again, when I do, I'll remember your question and will come back and give you what I find!
It's a good guess, and one I share. No hard information, but if you understand the motives for closing Broadway, and the motive for creating the restaged tour, they fit together.
I’m quire sure that the Phantom & Christine in 11:15 & 11:23 are Gary Mauer & Elizabeth Southard. Fun fact, they’re one of the pairs that are actually married in real life

The first clip 10:15 is Ben Crawford and Ali Ewoldt! The last clip is Hugh Panaro and Samantha Hill 21:19. The others were Gary Mauer and Elizabeth Southard

I read that Phantom might return to Broadway but that it would be the restaged version. Do you know anything about that?

Correct, I believe I used the Dallas recording, found easily on the Tube. They're my personal favorite.
