Five More Beginner Patterning Techniques

- Hi folks, in this weeks video I show how I draft a very basic wrap bodice pattern 👍 I’ve used this basic technique over and over again as a starting point for most of the wrap dresses you have seen on my channel. I show how to remove gape from the centre front and then go on to show three basic techniques to change up the pattern. And for even more variety the base can be substituted for any woven base resulting in different looks 👌I hope that those of you that are thinking of getting into to drafting enjoy and find the video useful. 👏
Thank you sooo much valuable tutorial.... can I ask when you are doing changes to block do you need to change the sleeve? Thankyou again x
For the gather on the shoulder, how do you know how many inches/cm to hinge out the dart in order to have enough fabric to allow for a nice amount for gathering?
Thank you for your video. What is that thick paper you use for your basic block? Diane uses that type too but I can’t find that thick “card stock” like. Thank you!
