Look, there are some real excuses: One, Life is not uniformly fair, and people who get ahead early have often been given a substantial leg up, or had unusual good luck. Two, It isn't really possible to keep working at maximum level indefinitely: if you try for too long, you have a breakdown and are never the same again. But it is indeed important to keep your aims in sight, because it is so easy to lose sight of them in each day's cares; and it gets worse as life goes on. You will not achieve all your dreams, but you will achieve some, and also have other achievements you didn't dream of. But I know what I need to do, and why am I not doing it?!
