Just did my 2012 pilot. Idk why anyone needs to remove unnecessary things to remove the vvt selenoid. All I did was dissconnect the 2 plug on the selenoid and the 3 bolts. Then remove the vvt selenoid out. Didn't even remove the oil dipstick.

Thank you for this detailed video. Is it just me or does this look not too hard? It’s a pricey fix at the shop!

Thank you for the video. I plan to replace mine on my wife's 2011 Pilot. It is leaking oil and leaked on the alternator. Should I clean the alternator somehow? It's a small leak but leaving drips on the floor. Thank you!

    Hello,
Thank you for the video. Question - after I replace only the gaskets, do I need to adjust the valves?

I have been having the engine oil changed at the dealer supposedly at 0w 20 now it has 80 thousand miles and the vvt solenoid filter is clogged after I put the new one in what type of oil should I put the synthetic oh the semi-synthetic because I imagine that inside the There must be a lot of dirty residue in the engine and I'm afraid that the synthetic oil will clean it and clog the pipes through which the oil flows again, so what do you recommend I put it in?

Anybody did this ? I have a leak and it’s probably related to the gasket in the video. How hard is to DIY from 1 to 10 ? Any tips ?

This part is sold as a whole unit; the proper way to replace it is the entire unit.
