I just finished it, all 6 episodes. I don’t feel I learnt anything new, it’s just a history lesson I guess. But if you grew up with it, read the dirtsheets, watched all the dark side of the ring seasons, and all the old Vince interviews, there’s nothing new.
Why would there be? This is more for people outside of the wrestling community. If there is anything really bad or dark, then it won't be till he isn't here anymore till we know.
My wife hates wrestling doesn’t watch it but was ok with watching this with me. After 10 minutes she said, he is exactly like hughe Hefner and every other rich man who thinks he can get away with anything. The guys a rapist isn’t he. She knew nothing about him, had read nothing, I had not told her the documentary would dive into the dark side, she just got that from the first 10 mins. And, you have to agree, there is a case here where you look at him and think, why are the revelations ever a surprise, the guy is just a creep,
Apart from the Rita Chatterton case there wasn't much that was covered that I wasn't aware of (the statute of limitations comment spoke volumes IMO), was expecting more on the Snuka story though, felt very glossed over. The thing that angered me most in the doc was Austin saying he's not a CTE guy and doesn't believe in it. Unbelievably ignorant comment.
Yea the statute of limitations line was the only time when my jaw dropped. Like an innocent person wouldn't talk like that when being accused of something.
The most bizarre thing that I had never heard about til this doc was the Ring Boy scandal. I feel like that was damn near the worst thing they touched on
They are leaving out details…. Like Howard Finkel coming up with the name WRESTLEMANIA, when Vince thought COLOSSAL TUSSLE was a good name lmao! Also, I’m only up to episode 3, but Hogan is actually sticking to facts, even about slamming Andre at Wrestlemania 3! I’m shocked!
Vince going on twitter talking about he didn't want Netflix to show the Doco is literally Vince being Mr. McMahon.. 'The Greatest Promoter' - It's on brand with Vince and he's doing work
I just finished Episode 3. This isn’t about Mr. McMahon at all - It’s about the history of WWF/E. It just includes the scandals that happened in between. That’s all.
I thought it was a good documentary as a whole. It wasn’t as hard on Vince as I would’ve liked, but the last 30 minutes of the documentary was all I needed lmao. Definitely more catered to the casual/newer fans, but I still found it entertaining and interesting despite being a long time fan
Is it just me that suspects that hug Shane got, that clearly meant a lot to him(guessing that was one hug more than he got in his childhood) was for not hurting Taker?

Its literally just a condensed timeline of all the storylines and scandals we already all know about. This is completely designed for people like my dad who has no clue who Vince McMahon is! Shame really. 6/10
Watched all 6 episodes. I found it fascinating to watch despite knowing most of the information revealed and understand this is for the lay-person out there. I think the original documentary would have left the viewers still believing that Vince was a dodgy person in real life - the allegations just reinforce what you would have been feeling throughout. I'd be interested in seeing what someone who didn't watch during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras feels about the stories they highlight - at two points the audience acted horribly to the victim in the story (Steph being drugged and raped, and Trish being forced to strip). It could be argued that the audience response to these encouraged Vince to continue doing these sort of stories, or engaging in real life. It's often said that Wrestling is a soap opera, but we don't cheer when someone is assaulted in Eastenders. Food for thought
Not to defend Vince since it seems like he was up to shenanigans, but it’s kind of funny that as wrestling was resurgent back to popularity that it was wrestled away from the owner. Similar thing happened with Rick and Morty, Community, etc.
5:48 I'm sorry, I get where your feelings are on this, but making a documentary about a case that hasn't even seen the inside of a court yet, without the perspective of the plaintiff, sounds like one of the most horrifically irresponsible things a media organisation could possibly do.
They do it all the time. Which is why people shouldn't watch a documentary on a person if they have an ongoing case. Sad how everyone is quick to make a documentary without knowing all the facts
Sorry no, loads of people get away with criminal behavior without it going to court. The whole point of the media is truth to power, a documentary like this highlights all the things Vince has done and opens the door for more victims (and there will be more) to come forward. In the UK Mohamed Al Fayed has just been outed as a serial sex abuser of his employees with potential 80 + women being assaulted or raped, why didn’t they come forward, they tried and his money and power shut them down. Vince is the same, you can see it in the way he talks, the way he interacts and his views on certain things. He thinks he is above everything.
@GreggNowhere There's vague suggestion about merit of case, based on not having been heard in court, whether you intended that or not. Not clear you intended that no. Not the point. Unless someone else "someone" typed that, either way..Now you come off lil defensive tho.
I think one thing that is disgusting in my view. Is how they completely ignored WWEs part in VKMs current lawsuits and how Janelle Grace's lawsuit is also against WWE and others and they just glossed over that
Watched all 6 episodes, absolute waste of time, nothing new & hardly anything about him being a sexual predator, could have been made by wwe, not what I expected at all
As a casual wrestling fan, I think the overall message of the documentary is moral ambiguity. Sure of Vince, but us as viewers/consumers. We know, to varying degrees, the terrible things Vince has done but we still line his pockets by consuming his product.
This is a promotional release heralding in the WWE relationship with Netflix. No way they would show the Foundation of that company in a negative light. Even separated the association of the two is too closely knitted.
Love how episode 1 covered the rich history of pro wrestling though it could have gone for 2 episodes TBH. Very cool insight into avince growing up, his relationship with his father and taking over the territories. Hate how Netflix opened the series with the allegations. Who gives a crap. Leave that to the judges.
I thought it was pretty mild. Pro Wrestling seems to be unique in the sense that people seem unable to separate the character being played onscreen to the human being offscreen. Vince is the epitome of an evil genius. All is fair in love in war. He was absolutely ruthless. McMahons legacy hinges on the outcome of the Grant sexual abuse trial. This docu series doesn’t really change that.
Ok here’s what no one wants to say… Any person who had a good relationship with Vince, who feels their life was made better by their time with Vince/WWE, who had a good run, supported their family, had some amazing experiences in life BECAUSE of Vince & WWE…. Then being asked to speak about accusations they don’t themselves even know to be true, with a dagger over their head of “shit on Vince or you’ll be cancelled next” is vulture behaviour If a star had a good run with Vince, and you ask them what they think of Vince, and their answer is “he gave me a good run” that’s the end.
I finished the whole series and my main takeaway was... The producers have no understanding of the culture inside the wrestling buisness. Zero understanding of what the words protect the buisness means in relation to professional wrestling and it's endless string of scandals.

Funny isn’t it😂 what do you expect Netflix and the creators to do when there information we know already is out there and Vince is being investigated still 😂. Sidgewick actually thought Netflix are part of the federal investigation that’s happening right now you can’t just expect something new about the case to come out while a whole investigation is happening😂 they filmed what they filmed at the time and had to add more because of the lawsuit that happened so honestly I don’t know how anyone can expect more out of everything when it’s a still on going case 😂
What culture you guys seem to be reviewing this and letting your personal bias against Vince show. I don’t care for Vince, but your psycho analysis of him and his behavior based on footage that’s edited to make him look crazy is pretty ridiculous. I know it wouldn't get as many views, but I would've preferred you to do this for the Dump Matsumoto series instead, because that's actually worth talking about instead of this glorified fluff piece
The show was full of shit and nothing new we all already knew and was all the same circulating shit about Vince from the past few years I was expecting some new groundbreaking shit that we didn’t know I was very disappointed.
What I get from sidgewick is that he wanted a burial and is mad that he didn't get it.
Lmao of course dude, he jerks off to hating Vince McMahon. He’s a neck bearded forum posting shitposter parading as a wrestling commentator. This channel is essentially dead, they have a million subscribers and barely crack 5 digit viewing numbers lmao. If that isn’t an indictment of the absolutely shit quality of the hosts and the content (minus Simon) then I don’t know what is.
@@Nathan-oo2ik I'm sure they appreciate your comments to help the algorithm though my man 😂
They really hate Vince. And the crazy thing is, Vince doesn't know these people or care
@@captainchuppachup hey I'm a fan. I want more eyes on thier product. Just because I don't agree with them that doesn't mean I want them to fail. I save that hatred for people I know personally.
Peace n Love from Los Angeles!
Your doing a reaction to a show you watched 1 episode of? Yall suck lol
I bet this documentary was too much for Andy Murray to take. Poor sensitive guy
Thank God he's on vacation
That dude has to be the biggest punk to ever breathe
Hello my very good friends 😂
Three guys jumping the gun just to put out context before even watching the entire program, absolutely pathetic bashing and bias commentary
What culture you guys seem to be reviewing this and letting your personal bias against Vince show. I don’t care for Vince, but your psycho analysis of him and his behavior based on footage that’s edited to make him look crazy is pretty ridiculous. You guys usually do great work, but it’s easy to tell you can’t stand him and shows in this video.
Vince was very hard to look at…i don’t get it, these famous people have wealth yet they all get bad plastic surgery?? Bezos gf is another good example
Hall Larry Wilson Amy Jackson Patricia
This would have been better without Michael Sidgwick. He's just unbearable to watch or listen to
That guy in red on the left ALWAYS complains about EVERYSINGLE THING!
Especially WWE related…😪😪😪
It’s because Pat Patterson didn’t grab his pecker!
They were very tip toe, I hated it
Yeah you can see what they sort of tried with it, but they covered lot of nostalgia ground to please wwe looked like. People that see the predatorial things do see it though.
Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump front row at WM ...7?is crazy
missed that part
That's not Epstein, but keep making up stuff to try to trash a politician you don't like. 🫤
They wanted to grab the wrestler’s peckers!
I’ve been deeply disappointed with this series, why are they talking about everything inbetween like the screw job and the attitude era I thought it was meant to be a how much of a terrible human being Vince was I don’t want all this filler
It sucked. Nothing new. The dirt wasn't even anything new. Waste of time
I’d like to apologize to Sidgewick and what culture for a nasty comment I left earlier, which was rightfully deleted.
First
Vinnymac is innocent! Do not come on camera and falsely accuse him of something you were not there for!
I would use the old "he's not going to sleep with you" retort but tbh he might 🤷♂️
What’s he innocent of? Which accusation 💀
@@bruiserjhp1338 grants hogshit lies.
I can't tell if this will help or hurt Nexflix's investment into WWE. Will there be more or less viewers because of the doc?
0:05 oooff this would’ve been like the perfect video….. there is just too many people in this
