It's funny because I used to try to work when he was napping or keep him busy doing something else... when I started letting him "help" me, I realized he has so many great ideas! Even though he is little, I learn a lot from him. His color combos are the best because he isn't afraid to try anything and he doesn't know what looks bad! I'm the lucky one because I have him. :)
Good glaze! I’d like to add that I would prefer to seal with rust oleum clear gloss. It dries in less than hour, is aerosol, and is completely clear. Solvent based polyurethane has a yellow tint. This might adversely affect certain glaze colors.
I read this article long ago and your son reminded me of it. I laughed hysterically the first time I read it. How to bake a cake with children. Hope you don't mind Preheat Oven, Get out bowl, spoons and ingredients, and Grease and Flour Pan. Remove 5 crayons, 2 toy cars and One stuffed Bear from kitchen table. Measure 1 Cup Flour. Remove childrens hands from flour, wash flour off children. Measure one more cup flour to replace flour on floor and table. Put flour, baking powder and salt in a sifter. Get dust pan to sweep up pieces of broken bowl children have knocked onto the floor. Get another bowl, answer phone, return to table. Get greased pan and a new bowl, remove crayon from pan. Go look for quiet children Answer phone again. Return to kitchen and take greased pan from child, who flees, knocking new bowl off of table -- again. Wash floor, table, walls, dishes and children. Call local bakery. Go Lie down.
Hi Courtney, I love your videos, you are a very good step-by-step teacher!!! Your son is a cutie and he's going to be a pro by the time he turns 7! Could you so kindly let me know of the colors that lightening used to paint the candlestick? I would like to use that combo over white chalk paint on some metal windows that I'll be displaying in my yard. Thanks so much!
Thank you Rita!! Unfortunately, I have no idea what colors he used. I opened all the jars of Unicorn Spit and told him he could paint the candlestick while I was trying to get some work done ... I'm pretty sure he used every color! But I wasn't really supervising him so I don't know for sure. I just looked at the candlestick and it seems to have a lot of teal and green in it with little bits of orange and pink--if that helps. You can't really go wrong with any color combo. Unicorn Spit always looks pretty! Good luck with your project! ~Courtney

Get over it. You're a grown adult. Also learn some Grammer the child speaks better than you. Kid is distraction? You should pay more attention to him and learn to speak properly!
Couldn't listen to you for the kid interupting .. Sorry but he is soooo annoying and distracting. Would have been much better had he been out on a walk with his Father :/
