    Why is your Spit in a jar and not the bottles? This might be a stupid question but I just started experimenting and watching videos this week.

    for anyone commenting on sealing US....just watched the CHA video they did today and she says use a non water based sealer.....if you search 2017 CHA unicorn spit you might get more answers :)

    What do you use to seal when using in glass? Does USpit need a water based or oil based sealer?

    • @UnicornSPiT
      @UnicornSPiT  2 года назад

      Oil based for sure if you are using it thick like a paint.

    I love all the colors to include the original, sparkle and vivations. My only problem is with the price (retired and on fixed income). I'm thinking that I would use less than the amount of acrylic paint I normally use BUT we are still talking $15 to $20 per 8oz bottle. What occurs when someone uses some acrylic paint and some unicorn spit? Michelle, I love the whole idea, the colors and the fact that physically challenged folks (like me :)) can use the products; we just need a way to finance the endeavor. Will your prices ever be reduced?

      UNiCORN SPiT comes in the concentrate & isn’t filled with plastics like acrylic or latex. So with SPiT, you dilute with up to 40 parts clear catalysts like water, mod podge, epoxy, alcohol, water based top coat.... basically you aren’t paying for water or plastic fillers. This concentrate also makes the product shape shift into practically any art medium you need.

    Your demos are very clear BUT it would be nice if there wasn’t that radio background noise - it was hard to hear you sometimes, especially when the advertisements were playing while you were talking. Something to consider.

      Thank you for your constructive criticism. I was just learning. This video was made back when I was brewing Unicorn SPiT in my kitchen with a spaghetti pot.
      As SPiT has grown so have my video making skills. I appreciate your view on my video & hope you like the newer ones much better. 😘💕

    Do you need to seal the finished product? I have a bathroom window I would love to do but I am worried about moisture and steam making run.

    I watched a new video for refinishing a glass top table. The Unicorn Spit was diluted 4:1 with water. It is a new video, so should we always dilute when working with glass?

    Do you dilute the spit if you use the water bottle

    • @UnicornSPiT
      @UnicornSPiT  2 года назад

      This video uses the original formula Michelle brewed herself at home in a spaghetti pot. Our professionally manufactured current formula is much more concentrated. You will want to dilute with 1/2 water prior to application or apply straight & spray water before you press.

    I tried to mimic what you did and all of the U.S. peeled off after about 24 hours. Someone mentioned that I should have used Modge Podge before applying the spit. Is that true? Have you ever had problems of the U.S. peeling off? Help please!!! I had a heck of a lovely project before it all peeled off.

    Very distracting with radio in the background giving the orthopedic bed commercial and with the lady in the background trying to get the plastic bag open couldn't take my eyes off of her to see if she was going to succeed

    I spent $20 on 2 bottles of Unicorn Spit. It's just paint. I don't get the big deal! Why are people so excited? I expected something cool, some translucency or some pearlescent or... I can't think of the word but I expected it to be more special than just a flat, matte paint. I got Mia teal and Molly Red Pepper. The lid on the red doesn't work, so if you want to use it, you have to unscrew the entire lid and dump it from the bottle!

    • @alaynatodd8275

      It isn't paint though, it's a stain. Maybe you need to research the product a bit more

    • @MimiDidi121
      @MimiDidi121 5 лет назад

      Alayna Todd yeah, I know it's stain, I'd only used the teal one and it looks and feels a lot more like paint than stain, but that doesn't change the fact that I still don't get the hype. I've not really seen anything special that justifies the price.

      1 its smells amazing....2 it is non toxic you can use your hand and your children\ grandchildren can join in...3 when you blend the colors you get then desired look along with the WATER bottle...after you get the desired look..u clear coat...thats the WOW.... as for the lid you may want to get it from a certified distributor...maybe not home depot were it could be returns? and 4 you might wanna buy a few more colors to get the effect...not sure what you do with paint? most of us turn OLD into NEW. and its our own design with this gel stain glaze.. hopefully you figure it out! good luck
