All the pictures of “no mascara” look like they are still wearing mascara. It just looks like there’s no fake lashes, the color of the mascara is a less dark color than bold black, and that it isn’t applied heavily.
A lot of cosmetic brands used to offer brown mascara, on the theory that it looked more natural on blondes and redheads. I wouldn’t be surprised if that makes a comeback. Same with the kind of mascara that just darkened your lashes and helped them hold a curl, not “lengthen” or “thicken” or “false lash effect.”

Same! Mascara and tinted mineral sunscreen is my full makeup look 90% of the time. Maybe I’ll throw on a one and done eyeshadow if I’m going to dinner.
I think the problem with concealer is that it’s often worn in too light a shade. I think it looks best when it’s an exact skin match. Too light emphasizes problems

For me this is another level of performative effortlessness. Mascara: black, brown or any colour is relatively easy to apply (especially with quality of drugstore mascaras today).
I bet that’s a big part of it. People are getting tired of the lash extensions and false eyelashes - which is a pretty high maintenance look. If we can wear yoga pants to work, there’s no sense in having to do a full glam face of makeup. Though if that is what someone wants to do then they should do it.
@@EmilysMakeupBag1 Yes, quite possibly, lash extensions will no longer be a thing. In which case, I'll also be on trend because I've never even considered them!
The think about the dark circle trend is it looks chic on an early 20s girl because it’s giving “I was clubbing all night and don’t care”. I’m in my 30s and my dark circles are more “tired mom” which is not the vibe I want to emphasize. Plus when I cover my dark circles I physically feel less tired when I look in the mirror because I don’t see a tired-looking person in the reflection.
Exactly! Why are we letting kids tell us what and how to wear makeup? They're just starting in the world of cosmetics. I know what looks good on me. Trends can be fun, but as I've gotten older, I realize what I think looks best on me, and other people can do whatever they want with their faces! It's all gonna wash off anyway!
@@streetfamily6909 The reason you don't know that Nylon is using ragebait titles, is because you're not actually on TikTok. I'm a pro MUA, and lots of Gen Z and Gen Alpha people love the eyeshadow looks I do for influencers on the app. Nylon just needs attention.
I’m dubious: is *mascara* out or is heavy lash makeup such as false lashes, lash extensions, and caked on/ fiber mascaras what’s actually out and that’s being represented as “no mascara”. Especially since runway or editorial looks tend to be more extreme versions of a trend, they could be going for a literal “no mascara” look that translates to a light lash look irl.
I'm a pro MUA, and I think Nylon is wrong. I've done looks for influencers on TikTok, and both Gen Z and Gen Alpha people love the eyeshadow looks; so many likes, we can't keep up with them. Nylon is being edgy, and using clickbait to get attention. They probably don't actually pay attention to what really goes on, on socials.
Me too !! I need mascara & tinted brow gel because they are transparent, apparently 😂 although I have brunette hair but my lashes & brows are too soft of ash brown !!??
I will say I’ve seen more people getting into brown and burgundy mascaras … which I am very excited about! I hope more cruelty free brands come out in interesting mascara colors!
I had a high school friend who wore purple mascara (drugstore brands had a surprisingly broad range of mascara colors) and ONLY purple mascara and eyeliner, no other makeup. She had green eyes, and the purple made them really pop. I, too, would love to see a wide variety of mascara colors in cruelty free brands.
i’ve been wearing mascara less lately but it’s so annoying that once the trend is dead everyone thinks they “HAVE” to stop doing it. but i love mascara so much
the celebrities and influencers doing the no mascara look have very obviously had lash tints and lifts, though, in a way that looks similar to lengthening and curling mascaras, rather than volumizing ones. i had a lash tint/lift done once and obviously went mascara-free until it wore off, and that's more or less exactly how my eyes looked, but it definitely wasn't anything like the way they look untouched.
Yeah, but that's the problem with society: you shouldn't be expected to wear mascara to look healthy, just wear it for fun. People should get used to seeing eyes without mascara, e.g. blonde lashes and barely visible eyebrows were a trend in the Middle Ages and in Asia right now. It's just a matter of perception.
i have very very blonde lashes, so mascara is a MUST for me! if i had to choose one single makeup product to use for the rest of my life, it would be mascara - no question!
I don’t know about abandoning mascara entirely, but recently I’ve tried the red lipstick trend again on basically a bare face and I LOVED it. It woke my whole face up, which as a first time toddler mom in her mid 30s, I need. I used to wear a bright lip exclusively, but kind of stopped in the last few years as nudes and browns became more central. It’s weird that I felt nervous to wear a bright or red lip when that was my signature, but it simultaneously felt like a bit of a lift to my mood! (Which is more needed than ever these days, thanks to the happenings around the world). Anyway, I love this video and your videos like this, as it reminds me to be experimental with makeup again, and that it’s ok, and encouraged, to have fun with it! Keep ‘em coming!
I’m also a brown woman with pretty significant dark circles, and while I want to dip my toes in the no-concealer game, the closest I’ve gotten (other than wearing a red lip bare faced as previously mentioned) is rocking with an undereye brightener - when I’m actually wearing makeup these days, that is. Leaving concealer behind feels more uncomfortable than bidding adieu to my mascara lol But perhaps one day!
Yeah I love a bold lip and I am not happy that wearing a bold lip today makes me look dated and not trendy I am a winter and I look my best with contrasting colours
Idk just like don’t wear makeup? I don’t get the whole “no makeup makeup”/“clean girl makeup”/not wearing mascara or concealer. Like it’s actually okay to just not wear makeup and just be natural
Some people want less detectable makeup. I have terrible skin (yes I have a derm but I also have to manage expectations) so I like a perfect base where you can't tell I have makeup on.
I see where you're coming from. But there's plenty of people who look very tired without make up, but whose features don't suit very noticeable make up. I know I suit that demographic. For us, this whole no makeup makeup is like a nail on the head
@@jamiel264the thing is this has always been a thing that the majority of people wearing makeup want. It just used to be considered “everyday” makeup instead of being the trend of “no makeup” makeup. I wear makeup to work because I have a lot of redness that I don’t like, but for work I just want to look nice, not full glam. I think most people are like this.
Brown mascara and the Clinique Black Honey mascara have been a really nice subtle change for me lately . It’s nice to see more mascara shades becoming available.
These trends are getting exhausting. I like and enjoy being stylish but also doing my own thing. This is interesting to me, seeing how it's getting more and more minimalistic. Soon, it will be just tons of skin care and face bare and a lip balm. That said makeup for me is about creativity and fun, so I like to play around and change up my look to suit the mood. This new trend isn't new,it's called you're already "pretty ".
All these makeup gurus might want to stop telling people that eyeshadow, blush, mascara etc. is dead or out of style, what will they make content about and who will be watching. How will they do their haul videos?
I have never worn mascara for my everyday makeup look, I just curl my lashes but I have super thick dark ones that can look like I am wearing mascara. The no mascara vibe works for me
I love not wearing mascara since it’s the hardest part of makeup to remove. I often do days when I’m just wearing eyeshadow, but did not realize this was a trend
Videos like this one are scary to me! The bane of my existence is my blonde eyelashes, they are almost transparent. Anyway, A great video for this spooky time of year. Scares the stuffing outta this girl!😯
The bronzer isn't emphasizing your dark circles though, it's color correcting them (and providing some amount of coverage), which you point out as well. This is actually what I personally learned about under-eye concealer when I was first trying makeup - so we are talking from magazines and Making Faces. Under-eye concealer was meant to match or even be ever-so-slightly darker than your complexion shade, bc too light would only emphasize discoloration and any other imperfections someone was trying to correct. That 2016 thing (and I guess also very Kardashian influenced) of huge triangles of a super light concealer shade was never something I enjoyed, and actually felt quite counter productive. No concealer in this case just means a different kind of coverage and correcting.
I haven’t been wearing mascara for years! It’s been the ‘norm’ for a literal model off duty look. Been skipping concealer too. It looks fresh to show off a natural eye shape. I Don’t follow trends, just experiment with what features you highlight! 🥰⚡️ it’s like ‘reverse’ makeup. I’ve been just loving contouring everything to enhance. Playing with dark and light. Ok just finished the vid…this look on you…classic beauty❤
No mascara?? And then I would never leave the house lol I’m still ALL into my eyeshadow as well 🤔🤷🏻♀️😂 I would be 100% supportive of all out glam eyes for everyday again 💋
for me nothing is ever "in" or "out" i wear what i like year round. i don''t change my colour palette for the season i'll just put on more clothes. there are trends i like and i think "oh i like that shirt/those pants they'll make a nice addition to my wardrobe" and then i'll still wear it 7 years after it stops being "trendy". just wear things because you like them. plus body shapes come into it. low rise looks better on some people high rise looks better on others same with skinny vs baggy or flared jeans. it depends on your body, NOT the trend. WEAR WHAT YOU WANT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
I kinda like that this is one of the few makeup trends that actually *saves* you money and time if you do it😭 I was thinking of ditching mascara this year cause I hate the clumpy lash look and dealing with smudging but then I discovered tubing mascara
Black mascara is more flattering on people with cooler undertones/features. I’m a mousy brunette with gray eyes and brown looks more artificial on me too.
thank you for previously mentioning using bronzer under your eyes! I've started doing it recently and it actually conceals my undereye bags really well :)
I have blonde lashes that blend into my skin. I refuse to not wear mascara...because I don't like the way I look without. Brown for every day, but if I am having fun with eye shadow I use black (but not the blackest black mascaras). Love your chatty videos like this!
I normally wear brown mascara. I have cool toned skin and brown brows, so I think brown mascara looks more natural. I love sparkly eyeshadow, and I don't think I could wear those without mascara.
it's so funny that eyeshadow and mascara being "out" is now a fashion trend. I don't wear either because I don't like to irritate my eyes and don't have enough time everyday to do eye makeup. There's always a practical element involved in my daily makeup.
Something that helps me with no mascara look is to run a clean spoolie through my lashes after I apply setting spray to make sure I don’t have any powder in them
I have pretty dark under eye circles genetically so I’ve actually found that it looks odd to me when I fully cover them! Like it looks so unnatural because I’m so used to having some darkness there so I normally just use a little bit of color corrector and that’s it! You can definitely still see them but for me I feel like it looks more natural! Probably not everyone’s taste but just for me I kinda like it!
I’ve been doing no mascara for years since I started working from home. And I also don’t wear it on the daily. I now just use it for date night or otherwise going out at night. My lashes and eyes are grateful. I still love the look but it seems more special now that it’s not an every day.
yeah my eyelashes (and my eyebrows because I am just blessed like that) are literally transparent so I have to wear mascara (and some sort of eyebrow product, I usually tint them, my lashes never take to tints) to even get on the same level as the no mascara girlies. the things I'd do to have naturally dark lashes. sigh...
I am in the same boat as you. Tinting my eyelashes is too hard for me to get right. So I no longer even try. But my eyebrows are a different story. I use the Just For Men beard tint on my brows and that works great.
As a natural blonde, black mascara can look a little nutty on me so it’s nice to have more options these days. Especially now that we’re even seeing some lighter browns, which is cool. But me and my almost translucent eyelashes, you will pry my mascara from my cold dead hands. If you look at most of the no mascara examples you see, it’s on people who naturally have visible eyelashes. And also, I’m 30. There’s a balance between staying relatively current and trying to keep up with the kiddos, which just makes me feel very silly. I know what I like and what I don’t, trends notwithstanding, and it’s fun to play around and try new things but it’s my face and I’m going to do what I want. Lol
I’m in the getting older crowd, turning 40, and have recently stopped really wearing mascara regularly. I have very blonde lashes and never would consider it before, but being so fair and with light red hair, I started to feel like the mascara wasn’t that flattering. Even when brown. I looked more awake and bright without it. As long as I have blush and tinted lip balm. Also getting back into a little highlighter. Lightly over my lids and dusted on my cheeks. Hard to believe! Ha
I actually enjoy these little trends because hopefully people will understand wear the products you want, how you want. Make yourself up however you enjoy for the day, have fun
Loved this video and these topics! I had PRK laser eye surgery this year which takes 3 months to heal from if not longer for some people and in that time you can’t wear eye makeup. As someone who hasn’t gone out in public without makeup since I was 12 years old it caused me so much anxiety but I soon started to love the look! I agree that it suits you as well, Kelly 😘
I have fairly long lashes so i usually curl them just to look more awake and tightline for a bolder lash line. But i rarely wear mascara. Instead I use the lightest coat of Vaseline to make them look shiny and they pop a little more that way. It's an old hack my uncle taught me when he was a MUA. If I do wear mascara, I tend to favor brown over black. I've used Benefit's brown eyelash primer since it was launched years ago. But I'll wear black for a more dramatic eye look. Sometimes mascara can weigh my lashes down so they look droopy and I refuse to recurl them with mascara on. I think it's really what works for you. 💙
Which is your perfect brown mascara that doesn’t lean red since I’ve bought some that lean red. Concealer-I’ve recently gotten away from it because of creasing. I’m using Ole Henriksen banana bright eye cream which I know a lot of people use as a base for concealer. Red- I’m blue red and when I do a red lip I tone everything else down or I just put it on and dab it down.
As an MUA, skipping mascara has been a go-to trick to make a look more contemporary-feeling; for me it just depends on the style that I’m going for that day. It is nice not to have to take it off but the end of the day!
Mascara will never leave my hands. However, the no concealer look is a "trend" I've always done. Concealor creases on me horribly- no matter the formula. I stopped wearing it after I tried a few different formulas. Call me what you will, but it's what works best on me. Love this video!
tbh i have occasionally done light makeup without mascara bc i didn’t feel like having to deal with removing mascara at the end of the day and it was actually fine and cute. but there’s no way i’ll be ditching mascara for good!
Hi. I am Korean. have black hair and black lashes. Very short and straight lashes. I can literally see them in my vision always. How do I deal with this? Brown mascara looks SO silly on me. Clear? I can do clear. Also, maybe try the Korean “aegyosal” look. It contours and highlights the smile creaseunder your eye, but not your sleepy/allergy dark circles.
Thank you for showing us the trends, Kelly. I'm happily old enough to do what I want, but I might be tempted to give brown or clear mascara a try. For science, of course 😊
Super pretty look. I often go without mascara but I never go with out liner. Black or deep colored liner. I’ve been getting more into mascara again as of late but also I know what works for me.
My fave look lately is bold or medium lipstick with curled lashes and a bit of castor oil brushed into my lashes and brows and nothing else. Looks so fresh and darkens the brows and lashes slightly with a bit of shine. A good lipstick shade really brightens the complexion too without any foundation or concealer and I occasionally add a bit of blush. So fresh and easy to wash off the minimal products and I don’t have to worry about any mascara smudges throughout the day but it all still looks put together and intensional. 😊❤
❤🎉 Looks very cute Kelly!! This is so funny because due to medical condition I can't wear mascara but I LOVE always using either my Rituel de Fille Eye Soots or one of my many beautiful VISEART palettes!! The mascara hides some of the shadow you work so hard on anyway when you think about it. Also since I've discovered Dior Rouge Dior Satin and Velvet lipsticks (love), I'm considering trying the famous 999 Velvet (matte) shade cuz I think it's a warm red which I need. So while many are cringing at the thought of no mascara and a red lip, lol, you just sorta described my own little mini trend in my personal makeup routine. Thanks Kelly!! 🙂❤️😍
i love it! I have persistent dry eyes and allergies and every now and then I opt for no mascara. Typically when I do so, I get compliments. I tend to prefer a mascara look because I like more glam makeup, but I do think it looks very fresh and pretty.
I think its super important to include makeup styles at are really okay with what we look like as ourselves, I like it I feel like I can see people better with light eye makeup - I totally agree about it emphasizing the eyes, instead of overshadowing them
Haven't watched yet but I just gotta say I really don't like the whole no mascara trend. Unless it's a super "no makeup" makeup look it ends up looking unfinished and like mascara was just forgotten lol.
I just wanted to say that the lilac lines under your eyes are beautiful! I totally understand covering them up seems more desirable because of a more evened-out skin tone and a brighter complexion. However, I feel like society and social media has taught us that it looks ugly and that we need to cover them up. Often the lilac, blue, or green end up bringing out the colors in your eyes! Sometimes I let my under eyes be, and other times I prefer concealing them, but I just wanted to bring awareness and encouragement. Love your videos, Kelly! ❤️❤️
I wear only one coat of any "lengthening"/"definition" mascara (right now it's brown black million lash and I'm a fan) and immediately comb through with a clean spooley. I saved the spooley from my old lash stiletto bc I love how stiff the bristles are, so it's perfect for doing this.
I and my blonde eyelashes take umbrage to this trend! Seriously though, as a redhead I do not like black mascara. I don’t even like black-brown mascara. So the recent turn brown has made me very happy!
Do you have a video on your thoughts on brown mascaras? I tried Loreals. I feel like it does make my eyes look really pretty but I think it still looks black on.

If we can wear yoga pants to work, there’s no sense in having to do a full glam face of makeup. Though if that is what someone wants to do then they should do it.
Excellent point. In which case I'll be on trend! I've literally never even tried false eyelashes. Some things are too much trouble, to me anyway.
I agree! I have two friends who have been getting lash extensions for years at this point and one took hers off and the other is thinking about it.
Thank God I’m not 12 and/or on TikTok and need to worry about the opinion of children at any point in time.
100% agreed. These trends are probably mostly 12 year olds starting them 😂 I’m out of the loop cause I refuse to go on Tik tok
THIS!!! 👏 👏 👏
@@Addie_LaRue no one is being told what to do, it's just fun to see how trends come and go and analyze what they're influenced by
@@streetfamily6909 The reason you don't know that Nylon is using ragebait titles, is because you're not actually on TikTok.
I naturally have long curled eyelashes that are unfortunately blonde and invisible without mascara. I will never give it up. Ever.
Hahaha same
Me too. I think all this minimalist shit is for younger people that simply don't know how to apply eye makeup.
I'm also blonde. Without mascara I look like I have no lashes.
I'm a redhead. With blonde eyelashes. I swear I look like an alien without mascara. It's soooo weird!
I’m a natural brunette with brown eyes and blonde lashes. I’m never going to stop wearing mascara.
Sure for them
they can never make me hate you black mascara 🖤
I'm a pro MUA, and I think Nylon is wrong. I've done looks for influencers on TikTok, and both Gen Z and Gen Alpha people love the eyeshadow looks; so many likes, we can't keep up with them. Nylon is being edgy, and using clickbait to get attention. They probably don't actually pay attention to what really goes on, on socials.
I feel nekkid without my mascara…
Me too !!
I need mascara & tinted brow gel because they are transparent, apparently 😂 although I have brunette hair but my lashes & brows are too soft of ash brown !!??
The people making all these “rules” obviously don’t have tiny hooded eyes like me.
Ignore all this. Wear that makes you look good
I have tiny hooded eyes and I love how I look without mascara 😅 I think mascara is very personal
@@nitzeart I guess all makeup is personal. All I know is if I skip the eyeshadow and/or mascara I look like I’m half asleep.
same! team mascara forever
@@Stacey7742 Yeah, all makeup is personal (all beauty stuff really, like skincare and haircare too)
I will say I’ve seen more people getting into brown and burgundy mascaras … which I am very excited about!
I wear blue mascara! Mainly because I have blue hair lol
Fitglow has a navy!
i’ve been wearing mascara less lately but it’s so annoying that once the trend is dead everyone thinks they “HAVE” to stop doing it. but i love mascara so much
I do'nt care, what's trend or not.
I'll wear mascara until my last breath 😂
the celebrities and influencers doing the no mascara look have very obviously had lash tints and lifts, though, in a way that looks similar to lengthening and curling mascaras, rather than volumizing ones. i had a lash tint/lift done once and obviously went mascara-free until it wore off, and that's more or less exactly how my eyes looked, but it definitely wasn't anything like the way they look untouched.
My eyelashes have fallen out because of chemo so I can’t wear mascara. I’m actually on trend for once.
I wish you a good recovery
I didn’t wear mascara one day for work; no less than 4 people asked me “Are you feeling okay.” You can pry my mascara from my cold, dead hands.
😂😂😂
Yeah, but that's the problem with society: you shouldn't be expected to wear mascara to look healthy, just wear it for fun. People should get used to seeing eyes without mascara, e.g. blonde lashes and barely visible eyebrows were a trend in the Middle Ages and in Asia right now. It's just a matter of perception.
i have very very blonde lashes, so mascara is a MUST for me! if i had to choose one single makeup product to use for the rest of my life, it would be mascara - no question!
Me, too!
All that effort JUST to not wear mascara feel ridiculous to me....I feel like mascara n gloss takes five mins n gives off a polished vibe.
Leaving concealer behind feels more uncomfortable than bidding adieu to my mascara lol
But perhaps one day!
Yeah I love a bold lip and I am not happy that wearing a bold lip today makes me look dated and not trendy
I am a winter and I look my best with contrasting colours
Idk just like don’t wear makeup? I don’t get the whole “no makeup makeup”/“clean girl makeup”/not wearing mascara or concealer. Like it’s actually okay to just not wear makeup and just be natural
Lol. Yeah, the whole 'no makeup' being a whole makeup look just screams conflicted to me. 😅
@@chiaravc6228 fyi I have very large bags under my eyes - like it's genetic and no amount of sleep helps - and I often just don't wear makeup.
Never it’s my mascara and eyeliner I against the world lol
I have never worn mascara for my everyday makeup look, I just curl my lashes but I have super thick dark ones that can look like I am wearing mascara. The no mascara vibe works for me
I love not wearing mascara since it’s the hardest part of makeup to remove. I often do days when I’m just wearing eyeshadow, but did not realize this was a trend
Try tubing
So what makeup do you use on the daily? No eye makeup at all so what do you use?
No mascara?? And then I would never leave the house lol
I’m still ALL into my eyeshadow as well 🤔🤷🏻♀️😂
I would be 100% supportive of all out glam eyes for everyday again 💋
for me nothing is ever "in" or "out" i wear what i like year round. i don''t change my colour palette for the season i'll just put on more clothes. there are trends i like and i think "oh i like that shirt/those pants they'll make a nice addition to my wardrobe" and then i'll still wear it 7 years after it stops being "trendy". just wear things because you like them. plus body shapes come into it. low rise looks better on some people high rise looks better on others same with skinny vs baggy or flared jeans. it depends on your body, NOT the trend.
I do bold color cosmetics on my eyes, so I'm holding onto my black mascara. 🦋👩🦰
I wear makeup to enhance my appearance. Mascara is the most bang for the buck to make me look good. I don’t care what is popular.
Girl….you look SO BEAUTIFUL in this finished look. Like this is YOUR LOOK.
Can’t wait for foundation to be out! I haven’t worn cream or liquid foundation since I was 17. I hate the way it feels and gets everywhere blech!
I am a man with bleached hair and grayish-green eyes. Brown mascara looks so much more artificial on me than black, maybe it’s just a matter of habit.
Black mascara is more flattering on people with cooler undertones/features. I’m a mousy brunette with gray eyes and brown looks more artificial on me too.
I have green/gray eyes and also bleaxhed white hair. The contrast of "bolder" tones are just more flattering (especially if they are cool)
thank you for previously mentioning using bronzer under your eyes! I've started doing it recently and it actually conceals my undereye bags really well :)
Yay! I’m so glad it’s working well for you!
I have blonde lashes that blend into my skin. I refuse to not wear mascara...because I don't like the way I look without. Brown for every day, but if I am having fun with eye shadow I use black (but not the blackest black mascaras). Love your chatty videos like this!
Ok these kids need to stop. They killed skinny jeans, they killed foundation, they won’t kill mascara lol
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Ugh, don't forget the side part😉
@@Jen-if2it how could I have forgotten!!!!
And I think I just threw a bird!
Skinny jeans are not a good look and are not even comfortable
And I lived in skinny jeans during the 2010s
I normally wear brown mascara. I have cool toned skin and brown brows, so I think brown mascara looks more natural. I love sparkly eyeshadow, and I don't think I could wear those without mascara.
Even on my "no makeup days," I'm wearing mascara. No beauty rag waxing idiotic about manufactured "trends" will change that!
Gen Z are out here emphasizing undereye bags and skipping mascara, and then wonder why they seem to look "older" than Millenials lol.
it's so funny that eyeshadow and mascara being "out" is now a fashion trend. I don't wear either because I don't like to irritate my eyes and don't have enough time everyday to do eye makeup. There's always a practical element involved in my daily makeup.
Something that helps me with no mascara look is to run a clean spoolie through my lashes after I apply setting spray to make sure I don’t have any powder in them
I absolutely love this series, Kelly! Keeping my mascara BTW 😅
Amen!
Why are these young people so terrified of a little makeup???? Every generation before this one found makeup to be so much fun…because it IS!
The “no mascara” looks still have mascara, lash extensions, or lash lifts. I have dark features so I look crazy without it.
I’ve been going for a more natural looking mascara, but I’d never go completely without it.
Mascara is the one item that makes me feel like I’m wearing makeup, depending on my mood and what I want that’s a good or bad thing.
Same its also not fun with sensitive eyes. I also have really thick lashes, so I don't really need it.
Washing out mascara is a hassle ngl
Trueeee hahah
Just got the kiss me mascara remover, hope it does the job. Lots of people been recommending it
That’s why «God» invented bi phase eye make up remover and mascara that can be removed with water only. ❤
I prefer tubing mascaras for this reason
Lol
My glasses make my eyes smaller. Mascara helps with counteracting that. I'm not jumping into the no mascara trend any time soon.
My favorite brown mascara currently is the Essence Lash Without Limits
Nooooooo, NEVER mascara!! My shadows and mascara will continue to thrive in my make-up regime!!!
As an MUA, skipping mascara has been a go-to trick to make a look more contemporary-feeling; for me it just depends on the style that I’m going for that day. It is nice not to have to take it off but the end of the day!
Do you use eyeliner and no mascara? Or eyeshadow and no mascara? How do you achieve the contemporary look??
Yes! I LOVE this look. It's so fresh and classic and 'natural'.
Mascara will never leave my hands. However, the no concealer look is a "trend" I've always done. Concealor creases on me horribly- no matter the formula. I stopped wearing it after I tried a few different formulas. Call me what you will, but it's what works best on me. Love this video!
Ohhh hell no! Mascara is a must. Eyebrows, Mascara, Concealer, Bronzer, Blush, Lipbalm 😆
tbh i have occasionally done light makeup without mascara bc i didn’t feel like having to deal with removing mascara at the end of the day and it was actually fine and cute. but there’s no way i’ll be ditching mascara for good!
Another fun and informative video from Kelly! Happy Saturday! That makeup method flatters you. You look beautiful!
Looooveeeee the bronzer under the eyes ❤ genious
i love it! I have persistent dry eyes and allergies and every now and then I opt for no mascara. Typically when I do so, I get compliments. I tend to prefer a mascara look because I like more glam makeup, but I do think it looks very fresh and pretty.
For me I don’t always wear mascara I like my eyes without it but sometimes I do wear it if I want a full glam look
Brown mascara and less of it. Ok. No mascara. Heck no. Never!
I only started wearing mascara at age 53 and I'm enjoying it. Per usual...we all will do what we like regardless of "trends"!😊💜
I think its super important to include makeup styles at are really okay with what we look like as ourselves, I like it
I feel like I can see people better with light eye makeup - I totally agree about it emphasizing the eyes, instead of overshadowing them
Honestly, I don't like how the no mascara trend looks. It's a pass for me
I was listening to the video when you said this 2:36 😂 I laughed and came back and saw you edit in *concealer*
Hang onto your rainbow palettes for when the trend reverses in a couple of years...or months.
