Quick question, I have both a set of 3-Bar GT40 heads and a set of D0OE 351W heads that I want to run on an early model 306 build. Do you have any opinions/preference on either?
You might want to review Stan Weiss’ head flow spreadsheet and determine how much work you want to put into your heads. The early 351 heads use a couple extra intake bolts so restorers & period hot rodders value those heads for certain applications.

Yowza! $100 per lifter is pretty salty. Had the same reaction when I priced a Jesel SBF shaft mount rocker arm system! I ended up buying the Comp Cams Ultra Pro Magnum rocker arms.

Why not use 1 piece pushrods?
Most aftermarket custom pushrods are multiple piece. Nothing wrong with them.
