    Since creating this video, I have discovered another rebounder and it's by the brand BCan amzn.to/45UcFLm ($99 + sometimes they have $10 off of that) and I am not sure how I missed this when I was doing research. I can partially vouch for it now because I got one and I am currently testing it out. I will be creating a blog post about it ASAP because I want to share my full honest thoughts about it and who I think it's ideal for. I can say that I really like it so far. It is very different from the Acon when it comes to the bounce. I will say for anyone interested that if you have joint issues and you truly need a softer bounce to help you with that, then go for the Acon over the Bcan (if possible), because the bounce is stiffer with this one.
    This one stands out because it's foldable, it uses bungees, it weights 22 lbs, (the Acon is 30 lbs, the Leeps & Rebounds is 14 lbs). They sell variations and some have a large support bar if needed (but it's more expensive). It has a weight limit that is really high at 550 lbs.
    Some of the Amazon reviews said it was difficult to put together. For me it was not too difficult as it included a tool to help you attach the bungees - and it made it so much easier.
    If you're still contemplating which one to go with, please check out my comprehensive post on the topic here: lifeanddiy.com/mini-trampoline-rebounding-vr-experience/. My review of the Bcan will be on my site shortly!

      I heard it has a pretty firm bounce. That plus the high weight limit might make it ideal for bigger people. However, I have seen good reviews from all kinds of people.

    I bought the white Acon hexagonal a couple weeks ago and really like it. I am 70 and was lifting and riding bike for my exercise and still love both. However, the rebounding does so much more : the breathing, the heart rate, the core, the back, and I'm assuming, the lymph. I believe my cardio health is going to improve tremendously from this.

    • @LifeDIY

      I am so happy to hear this! Thank you for sharing some of your experience with the rebounder and comparing it to riding a bike and lifting. I totally agree with you on how it impacts the breathing, heart rate, cardio and core (plus lymphatic system). The white hexagonal Acon you got looks amazing and if I had more space, I probably would have gotten that one too!

    Great video on the subject. I have been an avid rebounder for about a year and see a huge change in body composition, not only due to calorie burn but mostly because the lymphatic system gets such a big boost. If you have not encountered her yet, Nikki Hayes has a great YT channel called Earth and Owl. Rebounding for beginners and seniors as well as more advanced rebounders. It is a fabulous channel, where you can also learn the proper technique for rebounding which is quite important in the long run. I highly recommend her.

    Your videos have over the last couple of years every now and then appeared on my youtube feed. I just wanted to say having struggled with my own health issues these last few years, its really cool to see how you've manage to push through and hustle while dealing with your own health challenges, turning your personal research into a career. Personally, I'v never been money driven myself until these last couple of years, but really its just to have financial security, something that is desperately needed for somebody who isn't sure whether or not they'll have to go on disability, and secondly, the freedom to throw money at different treatments. ...anyways, I'm ranting now. I haven't seen you talk about MCAS (perhaps you have), that may be something worth looking into. Keep it up. You're a rock star!!

    Morning, I just purchased the Acon on Friday. I am going to be 66 at the end of March. I also did a lot of research and from what I found this is probably one of the best one if the price point works for you. I wanted a good solid one for both myself and my husband. Many people start with Bcan from what I researched and it’s a good starting one but then move up to another brand. I saw on one review the Bcan can wobble since the legs are not as strong. My husband said don’t get a wobble one. 😂
    I did get the bar and I will be using it to start out with.
    I am really out of shape and need to get in better health. The health reviews for everyone including seniors are amazing. Must start out slow from what I see for me.
    Thanks for your solid review as I am even more confident in my purchase.
    The price is supposed to change after Feb, get it soon.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you so much for sharing this! It sounds like we both came to the conclusion that this is the best quality for the price. It is a very solid mini trampoline. I didn't see a lot of reviews of the Acon when I was researching, but I am glad I found it. I think you're likely right about the Bcan being a good affordable starter option. I think this will really help you get in better shape. Definitely look for some workout videos on youtube. There are a few good options. I just find it helpful to keep me motivated and to workout longer on the rebounder. I'm happy to hear you're in your 60s and doing this and it's awesome to hear your husband will use it too. Amazing! My dad is in his 70s and I've mentioned this to him recently but he's not interested (yet), though I am tempted to buy him one! I am excited for yours to arrive soon!

      I was 75 four days ago. I’ve had a rebounder for a few months. I’ve used minimum or zero heel raise shoes for a few years. Watching you bouncing in those trainers induced a silent scream! One of the greatest benefits of bouncing is the gentle sinking of your heel into the soft surface. From another comment here I see that arthritis might make that difficult for some. So I’ll just say that if you can bounce just in your socks, you’ll gain more. Barefoot is the way to go. I did the whole process. When I started running at night (so no-one would see me…”jogging” hadn’t been invented!…) I wore plimsoles as that’s all there was. The Brit Jim Peters was the first marathoner under 2:20 and for the few marathons there were back then, he’d buy a new pair of plimsoles for each. These have very little cushioning. Then Nike Waffle Trainers arrived, then thicker Reeboks and Brooks and for me, finally Asics. Lots of fat midsole. Then Chris McDougall arrived and I was convinced. No more cushioned midsoles. The advantages and gains are undeniable. I know the elite now wear the rebound shoes to set records. But they don’t train in them. They’re mini blades for specific short term use. Bloomin’ clever!
      Anyway, thank you for rekindling my enthusiasm for bouncing: I’m a sucker for stats and evidence.

I hope I'm doing an ok job on here because you trained me in speaking in front of a camera. :) I am so glad you are interested in rebounding. It is such a nice easy workout but it still gets the heart rate up and it really works your body, though it does feel easy and very low impact. It's great if you have some injuries and don't want to run on the pavement or a treadmill. I get sore from using it (mostly my legs) but it's great that I'm working more muscle groups and I'm not getting any injuries. Thank you for stopping by and leaving this comment. It put a huge smile on my face! I hope you're doing well.

      Max, how's it going with your Bcan rebounder? I'd love to hear any feedback you have. I actually didn't see your comment until today, so I'm extra curious about how it's going. Thank you for this feedback on my channel and content. That means a lot. I have been working a full time job over the past four years and this is going to be my last week there. I put so much of my brain power, energy and effort into my work there, that I feel like I had very little left to put into my content here. So, I'm finally going to be able to fully focus and hopefully improve the content on my channel. You probably didn't need all those details, but I am so excited about my new beginning which will start this Friday evening! Regarding Bcan, I should get one of their products to try out. Thanks so much for your review of the Acon rebounder❣ Currently using my Cellerciser (uses springs vs cords) that I purchased more than 2 decades ago and barely ever used until recently. I am a senior and find it difficult to jump more than 2 mins. at a time but I would probably have more stamina with the bungee system. I found out the hard way several weeks ago when I jumped rapidly and probably about 10 mins. while listening to ZZ Top "Sharp Dressed Man" 🎶LOL. I hung on tightly to the attached bar while jumping/dancing about and felt great, but next day + 2-3 weeks my left arm, shoulder, and neck were super painful. Won't do that again. But I wish I could.☺

    Hello again. Gee, sorry I have a question that doesn’t relate to this video but I’m hoping you see it and can help me. Btw, I’m EXTREMELY impressed with your dedication to answering questions and I don’t trust many (if any) beauty people from RUclips but you’re so down to earth, I trust everything you say. Thanks for being so genuine
    So I just ordered the TCA 13 mask from platinum skin care. I don’t even need to shuffle through 40 videos to see what everyone else likes, if you say it’s good I trust that 👍
    But anyways I ordered yesterday along with the essential oil syrum for aftercare. But what do I use while I’m doing the procedure? You mentioned in one of your videos you were using baking soda and water to calm the sting down. There’s another use for this step but I can’t remember atm. Do I need to order something,or can I use baking soda and water as well? If I can could you please provide the measurements of both? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for everything. Honestly. I’m 53 and just started looking g after my skin about 7 months ago. Completely ignoring it for the last 19 yrs, for various reasons. My skin is awful but I’m doing quite a few things now that hopefully help it in the long run. I’m using a skin care line called Go Pure and darn it, I love it! If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask! Ok, thanks a lot again. Enjoy your day ❤️

    A coworker gave me a rebounder back in the 90's. It was sturdy but rigid. I would jump on it for 15-20 minutes a day. And I lost 20-25 lbs in about 6 weeks. I was 230 lbs. I moved out of state it couod fit into my car so I gave it away. I've recently lost 170 lbs but was diagnosed with early onset congestive heart failure, weakness in my left ventricle, an enlarged heart and venous insufficiency. I do kettlebell swings and have a Bowflex. But I'd been looking into do self massage for lymphatic drainage. And a rebounder video was in my recommendations. Since then I've been looking into the benefits of rebounding and the different rebounders that are on the market. My thinking is that if venous insufficiency if the body not being able to pump the blood from my legs back up to my heart then wouldn't rebounding be beneficial in that way? I'm aware that you're not a Dr. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Tuesday. I thought I'd do the research on this before the appointment. I've already had to describe what a kettlebell is. Apparently everyone doesn't know what one is. Lol. But thank you for doing a great job on both videos that I've watched so far on rebounding. Even back in the 90's I had no idea why I lost so much weight, that rebounding helped the lymphatic system or most of the other things that I've recently discovered. So again thank you.

      Thank you so much for this nice comment and I am so sorry for my late reply! That's incredible you lost so much weight in 6 weeks. I'm sorry to hear about the congestive heart failure. My brother has that as well, though I think it is considered very mild. He was checked recently and it seems like his heart function is in the normal range. He attributes that to eating the carnivore diet. I also think low carb in general is just healthy, but that's off the topic, sorry!. :)
      I really like the way you think regarding rebounding and venous insufficiency. It makes complete sense and it's also just overall very good for cardiovascular health. Have you heard of vibration plates? I think I've heard people recommend the Life Pro brand. I wonder if this might help as well.

I’ve fallen off the wagon during stressful events in my life, but it’s always how i get back on the wagon. Holly, thank you for putting the jump space measurements for the Leaps and Rebounders and your remarks of the size in your room. You gave us a lot of good info that I didn’t get from several other videos. I like that it’s actually a pretty rebounder. The JumpSport has a lot of great reviews, but when I watched a video of a man jumping on the 39er” it looked very small and the mat messy.
    I need soft for ankle joints but do not like to sink. I’m considering the Acon, but wondering if it will be too soft. Could you please comment? Does it feel firm yet soft? Thank you. 🙏

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  28 дней назад

      Sorry for my late reply! I find the Acon to be really supportive, yet provides a soft comfortable bounce. When I looked at the videos of the Bellicon, I really think it looks like the bounce is too soft, but I think the Acon has just the right amount of firmness/softness and support when you're jumping. In the future I'll do more videos to compare this one to other rebounders. I'm going to be comparing to the BCan next. I have a feeling the Bcan bounce is more firm. I can relate to the way you're researching this because it is so important to find one that is supportive - not too soft and not too firm. You may want to check on the Acon's refund policy - just in case you have any issues, hopefully they will honor a refund. You asked if it feels firm yet soft - and for me it does. Firm, but not "too" firm - similarly, "soft" but not too soft. I hope that makes sense!

I placed the boxes on top. I guess I’ll try the blanket. Every piece of furniture in my house has a blanket. Lol. I bought mine because I used to walk a couple miles a day but many days are missed due to weather….too hot….too cold. I’m 70++ (closer to 80) so I got the T-bar. Never had a trampoline before. Thank you! The rebounder I have here makes very, very little noise. If someone lived in an apartment with thin walls and you can hear people walking above you, then you might hear it. But, if it's a condo and someone is next door - I am pretty positive they would not hear a thing! :) It's so quiet.

      They bungee cords look great - the exact same as when I bought it! This seems like a very high quality long-lasting product. I believe they have a warranty too. :)

    Bravo, Holly! I brought up before (maybe the "deleted comment") about rebounders. My question is did you have the least trouble in assembling it? Do you know if it even needed assembling? 25 years ago I bought an el cheapo Walmart brand that was next to impossible to assemble without the right tools (sort of like trying to disassemble your brakes and brake pads and reassembling them without the right tools) : ) Anyway, I've always heard a rebounder did wonders for High Blood Pressure for reasons I am not sure of, except that it does wonders for the Lymphatic System which in turn greatly helps with your White Blood Cells (and thus your immune system) !!!! I've heard rave health results from rebounding and will definitely give it a try again. Thanks!

      Hey Paul! I'm so happy to see your comment here. I thought I did such a thorough video, but I totally forgot to talk about assembly!!! I should have taken some video footage of how it's packaged and setup. It was not assembled, but it was not too hard to setup as the instructions were super clear. I did have to attach the bungees and it was a little bit of an arm workout, but not horribly difficult, but that depends on the person. I asked my son to help and he was busy and couldn't, so I did it myself and it was ok but a little tough. Here's a video on how to assemble the one I bought: ruclips.net/video/ZsD4C5OVT3k/видео.html. I know that some rebounders do require tools to assemble but this one didn't. Yeah it's great to hear that rebounding can help with blood pressure, which is such a big issue for people nowadays. I am so glad you're going to give it a try! Since I did this video, I noticed one other brand that might be a good option and it's called BCan. It's cheaper than this one and I am kind of curious about it. The weight of their product is just about 5 lbs less than this one I bought and it has a human weight limit that is much higher (450+) so it makes me think it would be a sturdy, decent product. I'm not sure how soft the bounce will be though. I'll create a pinned comment to mention that! I hope you have a beautiful week, Paul!

      @@LifeDIY Thanks, Holly!! That sounds simple enough. As long as doesn't need special tools I'm good! I'll check out the research on rebounders and get one!

    Does the acon come assembled or partially? I hear bungees can be a bugger to get on.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  Месяц назад +1

      It does not come assembled. It came with really clear pictures and directions and the bungees were already attached to the middle part. So I think it was pretty easy to put together though it require a bit of strength with the bungees. It wasn't bad though and I'm not the strongest. Here's a really great video showing how to do it: ruclips.net/video/ZsD4C5OVT3k/видео.html.

    Try doing it barefoot or wear Xero (barefoot shoes). It'll activate more minute muscles for stability.

      How has it held up all these years? Would you mind saying how often the bungies need to be replaced? Any plastic break, etc. I’m either going to get this Avon or a Fit Bounce. Torn as to making a decision. Thank you.

    ngl, that looks fun🤪 i want one too now, seriously i don't even care about the working out benefits, i just want one for fun😆 it's enjoyable, this is why you don't notice you are fatigued, like... you noticed your breath only when using the phone.
    btw, 1:11 what the heck is that ?😂🤣 lol.
    anyway, i don't think i can use that inside, i mean what if my head hits the ceiling ? he he.
    anyway, the expensive one, bellicon, yeah sounds nice. do you speak italian? since bella means beautiful in italian and you said the name sounds beautiful, well.. it's literally that, lol. btw in ancient roman language, which is the ancient italian basically right ? well bellum means war. now how could such a radical change in meaning could've happened ?🤷‍♂
    hm.... well nvm, i made chicken soup with noodles and i have that on the back of my head now, i want to eat. but i have to wait because i made it in my insta pot so i have to wait for the pressure to get low enough.

      No wonder Bellicon looks and sounds so beautiful! :) I don't speak Italian. Do you? Also, I hope your chicken noodle soup is delicious. It sounds really good. And you are right - that you have to be careful not to hit your head. I am short so I'm ok.

      @@LifeDIY well i do speak a bit of italian, i know how to order food, have light interactions etc. basically... i understand it more than i can speak it. so i can understand when i hear italian, but i have trouble expressing myself, can't find the words. lack of exercise i suppose. but hey, i can always wave my hands 🤌 😆
      and yes, i just had a big bowl of soup. it was indeed very good (i also used a bullion cube to enhance the taste, couldn't help myself😋 )
      and for desert i had a tablet of hazelnut chocolate. you know, the kind that has whole hazelnuts in it.

    Looks like you're having a lot of fun Holly! You’re glowing, and look and sound super energised.
    I don’t think 5,500 steps is “pathetic” at all...I do about 12,000 steps in a round of golf, which is about a 6 mile walk.
    Probably too early for you to say, but I was wondering if this has improved your sleep at all.?

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks, Joe! I almost feel bad for saying that about the steps because there are people with mobility issues who can do a lot less than what I am striving for, so I don't want them to feel even worse. But, thank you for saying that! I'm overthinking things. :) 12,000 steps is a lot! And, do you golf often? For the rebounder, I haven't noticed a huge change in my sleep but I am tracking things extensively. I will figure the sleep stuff out soon.

      Sadly I don’t get much golf in this time of the year…it’s just too muddy to play…but better weather is only round the corner, and then I’ll get out there about 2/3 times a week.😊 I always feel great afterwards.
      I’m sure you’re going to keep motivated with your rebounder. It looks like it’s doing you the world of good.
