Exactly. She wasn’t struggling. The team was as they were figuring each other out in that ridiculous early schedule. She was setup by the early schedule ti fail. WNBA loves failing.

Imagine if they had been protecting her from the jump start?
They would've gone all the way to the finals.
But, they had to learn the hard way. You don't muzzle your greatest player. You enable them and in turn, then YOU become great.
Aliyah (who was always on Team Caitlin) learned that lesson quick, but she was still fresh as a rookie just the year before.
Kelsey, an old head, learned the hard way, but once she caught on and jumped on to the CC Express, her personal numbers went through the roof.
Let's keep it straight: Kelsey's work was her own work and nobody gets credit for her magnificent year, BUT she never would've gotten freed up to make her shots if CC wasn't drawing 2 or 3 defenders at a time leaving her (and other shooter on the Fever) wide open.
In fact, 80% of Kelsey's shots came from CC's assists.
This is what is meant by TEAMWORK (something Christie Sides never understood).
This season, I fully expect Stephanie White to unleash Caitlin AND the rest of the Fever. We already know Kelsey's greatness and Aliyah is just a baby who's already showing that she can become a phenom at her position. Aliyah read the assignment quick and that kind of Basketball IQ is rare these days.
Those 3 pulled off plays that reminded me of the Bulls back in their hey day or the Lakers. Or even the Knicks in the 80's or Boston.
The Fever have something no other team has in the league: love for each other and that's going to carry them across the finish line sooner than later.

If they were playing defense nobody would say anything. People were upset because they fouled her, when the ball wasn't in play. They could not stop her with defense, so yes they tried to hurt her. They didn't even try to hide their flagrant attacks. She was always double and triple guarded, yet still broke 62 records. She gave credit to the wnba players for inspiring her. What did they give back... Cheap shots and pettiness. Sadly, so many of those players would celebrate if she was injured. Truly great players don't act like that. Great players would respect what Caitlin brings to the game, and love the challenge of playing against her.

Caitlin should have had 3 Triple Doubles but Coach Sides took Caitlin completely out of the game when she only needed one more to make her first Triple Double... she was robbed by her own coach... Coach Sides claimed later that she did not know... which Coach Sides was either a coaching idiot or did not want her to get a Triple Double. Either one is rotten to have as a coach.
