    This is the simplest and clearest video I have seen on installing drip irrigation. Thank you! Also, I agree with @kitsurubami - a video on the water pipe and timer build and installation - including specific on the special bibs you connect the drip hose to - would be very helpful. Thank you again!

    Regine, a couple of questions: 1. Where did you get the cleaver you use to chop your vegetables? and 2. Why don't you have Kent cook for you and you can comment on the food? That would be fun. -- Also, where are the kids? It's always fun to watch them eat.

    a tip for rolling out the 500ft drip line roll, unroll from the inside like in video, take the loose end and it pull over a beam that is about 8ft off the ground. place large coil directly underneath beam so pipe comes straight out n over the top. when you pull out more tube the roll will free spin and remove the coils and allow it to lay flatter. works with pex line, electric wires, n other stuff coiled as well

    Rainbird is a very good brand. Maybe you can also try rain gardens, miniature bios Wales for veggie growing (saves money on watering). Sustainable garden designs are based on old concepts utilizing the most natural resources, while regenerating the garden. They are miniature ecosystems, perfect for you since you already have rabbits/birds. You’re great at this, and would compliment you so well!!👍

    I have found out that you need to be careful with the size of the hose and all the different fittings because there are slight differences between manufacturers and if you start mixing them up, then the pieces do not connect correctly and tend to leak a lot.

    Looks great! Very clear guide! The only problem I see is those zip-ties aren't UV-stable plastic so depending on how much direct sun they get it's possible they could become brittle and snap

    • @kentnorman5298
      @kentnorman5298 3 года назад

      Irrigation plumbing is really situation dependant... We are in sandy soil without risk of hard freeze, so everything is shallow and above ground all year. If you have permafrost you'll need to go below the frost line and/or remove / purge the lines for winter.

      We are in West Central Florida, Gulf Coast, so we never reach freezing temperatures. NO...... first install the water line in the bed, anker it and let it settle in place, then with you whole punch start put your drippers on, that way when you put it in the bed it wont be twisted up,.... you want the drippers facing up not in the bed,.... if they do they will get blocked after a few days.....
