When doing a keyword research and choosing your keyword you should check for their search intent and use the keywords according to the search intent. Probably now. We estimate the number of backlinks that you need to rank for a keyword with your page by looking at backlink profile of top 10 ranking pages. It would be a close estimation if your site has close DR to your competitors. - Max

It is going to be a hard task to outrank giant websites with strong backlink profile. But I am sure there are some keywords where weak pages of these giants can be outranked if you optimize the page for search intent and work on linkbuilding. - Max

S o this is the perfect video for me, but when it gets to 2:19 in the video and it says to click on "All keyword ideas" in the left hand column, there is no "All keyword ideas" in the left hand column anymore. Hi Sam, you try to say useful information but at the end it is just unclear, i do not understand what should i do after discovered parent topic has high KD while child topic is low KD, so then what should i do ?
Lets say you have 10 low competition keywords and Ahrefs shows you the same parent topic for these. Even though competition is higher for the parent topic itself, we inform you that you will still be able to rank for these 10 low KD keywords while targeting parent topic. In other words, we try to give a more broad topical keyword for you to cover a bigger piece of information, while still targeting low competitive keywords that you aim for. If you have a "brandable" domain name and you've already built some links to it, I wouldn't worry about switching.

Maybe try experimenting by filtering the keywords you get for Keyword Difficulty, say
