Definitely cool!! Great Mod, Dyno jet PCV I noticed you can add on. QUESTION could you get quick shifter on your 131? Or is it only for sport bikes? RIDE SAFE
Your how to videos are helpful..Looks like you’re enjoying that mt 10! My mind is made up on that vs the 09 already..I’m too big for the 09..you decide which one to grab yet Block?
Quick shifters were designed for racing, to allow you to shift without having to lay off the throttle for a quick second. A great addition along with the electrons on the bikes of today. I once had a 5 speed chevy blazer and the clutch went out on it. I rigged the clutch switch so I could crank it up without having the clutch pressed in. I drove that blazer for 5 months with no clutch using speed shifting. The old days way of quick shifting.
Quick shifting is pretty awesome. I've gone one on the MT-09 and it makes a huge difference getting up to speed on the highway. There's no way I could shift that fast with my hands!
Damn bro. Was riding my new to me k6 gsxr for the first time today. (Came from a v twin Honda). Was shifting with the clutch my first pull. Brought the wheel up when I grabbed 2nd. Figured out I could quick shift it, but was letting off throttle. Quickly discovered it’s less jerky at high rpm so continued shifting with clutch in the lower rpm’s. But I didn’t know you could stay on the throttle. Will have to try it tomorrow.
Love the sound of that Yami. I clutchless shift a lot on my ZX6R. Most people trying clutchless shifting back off the throttle too much. It’s a barely perceptible flick off the throttle when you got the technique down. I will say it’s not as fast as an electronic quick shifter though.
It's lots of fun! I saw a Brazilian pilot with a CBR1000RR turbo explaining its build-out and than using quick shifter. Man, that bike is scary by far.... really nice toy
Thanks for explaining it sir. It really helps me to understand what quick shifter is. By the way. I'm from Philippines and planning to buy r15 v4. Just sharing😅✌️
Keep motorcycles to what they are. Mechanical maschines and don't make electrical computers out of them. A study once showed that about 80% of roadside breakdowns are of an electrical nature. That's why I ride only the oldies, I can do my own mech. roadside breakdown without having to hookup a Laptop.
Several companies make quicksHifters for Harley. No more missed shifts and the fastest shift possible for best racing. You need to add one on your 131.
That's kind of like an early model DCT. My new Honda shifts automatically like a champ, or, I can use the paddle shifters. It's awesome. You have to ride & Review one Block. That bike really "Get's It" though.
Thanks for the video. At first I was afraid of damaging a gearbox and did not use it. But it seems safe when you use it properly. So this "boom" sound is a normal thing and does not mean an incorrect gear change?
What would happen if you stand still on first gear with quickshifter and you just give gas without holding ur clutch would it stil shut ur bike down? Or would you be able to just keep riding?
Love the videos dude! Love the sound of the MT-10! I did have a question about editing, what software are you using, and how do you manage to blur out certain things on screen? Keep up the great content! 🤘😝🤘
So are you doing anything with your left hand or your left foot? I'm getting my first Ducati Super Sport and I have no idea how shifting works or quick shifting works and I have nobody to teach me and nowhere to learn before I get the bike
Since you’re also versed with the Low Rider S with a 131...... is there a quick shifter available for our Low Rider S Harleys? I have a 131 in mine also! 😎
Hi, I was Wondering would this Item be Available to be Put on Most Bikes....Is this Something that I can do myself to my Bike... I Have a 1999 Honda VFR800FI INTERCEPTOR...
It just occurs automatic, WHILE still foot shifting, it automatically stops the engine spark, for a millisecond, allowing the clutch to be left out of the equation, but you are still using your foot on the gear shift, just no clutch, or backing off the throttle, allowing for quicker shifts.Basically, just cuts the spark ,with a switch, connected to the shifter lever.
i don't see any point unless you riding the bike and reading the book at the same time. completely useless stuff but hey. some are so bored they will do anything ...
I'm so frustrated with the MT-09 group on Facebook. Twice I asked why my bike isn't quick shifting. I've never used quick shift before. Some used 🤣 emojis others told me I had to turn it on in the settings. NOBODY told me I still have to shift the gears with my foot. I was thinking the bike did that automatic as well. Thank you for this video. Now I can FINALLY try out my quick shift.
@@patrickgoldenbridge1891 No, at the time I thought quickshift would be like an automatic. I had it turned on but when I would ride it it did not switch gears. Finally I found a RUclips that explained how quickshift works. You don't use the clutch but you still have to shift the gears. Me being completely new to motorcycles I had no clue. Needless to say, after using it a few times I still prefer shifting with the clutch. It just feels right and it's more enjoyable.
What do y'all think of motorcycle quick shifters? I'm a fan!
I like the quick shifter! I will eventually add it to the bike, but it was an add on which was slightly annoying.

2021 MT09 comes with a "Quick Shift System". Up & down. I'm excited to have this feature. The 2021 have finally arrived here in So. California
Be great when they have one for the Pan American.
I had no idea what quick shifting was. Your video was super clear about it, no time wasting. Thanks brother.
Said it before, I'll say it again. That bike sounds freakin fantastic!

What happened after the 5 months? Does it work the engine harder?
How did you start moving in first lol
@jessecole8370 No I finly got it fixed and sold it. K5 blazer, purplish n blue
Appreciate it for showing us exactly how it’s used

My Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX has the quick shifter. Mine is up and down and smooth as silk at any and all speeds! Great video!
🙌👍👌🤞✌😁
Quickshifter seems like it's taking out half the fun of riding motorbike. Love the clutch and throttle combos
it’s not like you can’t still do that
Might as well get a scooter..
"seems like" ? I bet you have not tried it yet :)
@@elcemuziq8514 Nooo definitely not
It’s quite the opposite
Can you put a quick shifter on a cruiser?

I've done clutchless on a couple of my HD'S in the past when getting on them. Also for emergency braking/stopping.
Had it on my BMW R1250 GSA - didn’t use it all the time, but it’s pretty damn awesome.
That mt10 sounds amazing

Great video have to test ride my cousins new bike thanks for the info.
My only question is do you use the clutch to downshift like you normally would without the quickshifter?
Your bike sounds amazing.
I’ve seen 3 videos and you explain it better
I've noticed that the closer you get to Mexico, your gauge readouts become blurry. And in the background of my mind, I hear "Epa! Epa! Andale!"
This is amazing technology
BMW have shift assist pro for up-shifting and down-shifting, no clutch … But not all model come with it
Woowww….your bike sounds like an 8 cylinder car.!!! 😮…..sounds awesome.
I hope I see a video from you about that Honda DTS I believe that’s what’s it called… I think
So do you only use the clutch for downshifting when having a quick shifter?
Quick shifter on your FXLRS?
Can you put mid sets on a MT-10?
Hey Block, since the OG Iron is going through changes (cue Ozzy), can we maybe expect a quick shifter being installed on it? Could be fun.
Nice explanation! Wondering if it works with a big V-twin?
Thanks for the video. At first I was afraid of damaging a gearbox and did not use it. But it seems safe when you use it properly. So this "boom" sound is a normal thing and does not mean an incorrect gear change?

Do Harley’s offer quickshifter aftermarket kits
I'm wondering this as well

would recommend premiere pro for editing. its kind of overwhelming at first but you can do almost anything in it, including bluring
I can see why many deviate towards a naked sports bike
1) price point makes sense
2) tech
3) fun factor
🤯🤯🤯 Been riding my XSR9 wrong
Thanks Man, good, clean video ...
A very good video. Very well explained.
Is it possible to install something like this on a newer sportster? I would love to see a video on how you would install it and using it!!!
So are you doing anything with your left hand or your left foot? I'm getting my first Ducati Super Sport and I have no idea how shifting works or quick shifting works and I have nobody to teach me and nowhere to learn before I get the bike
Think that it would really only help for a track day, street riding would likely = more tickets. 👌🏍👌
Thanks for video, very informative!
Since you’re also versed with the Low Rider S with a 131...... is there a quick shifter available for our Low Rider S Harleys? I have a 131 in mine also! 😎
My cousin is trying to talk me into getting a Honda rebel with a dct for my first bike are they good
That bike must be a dream to ride
Hey Block, I'm assuming that MT10 had a Cat delete. What mid-pipe and exhaust is installed? It sounds great!
Question: so once I install this quick shifter what if I want to or need to simply just shift regularly by using the clutch. Will it still activate?
Are you preloading the shifter with auto-shift at each shift?
Since I'm early,, how you doing blockhead, have a nice day😉.
Harley-Davidson America !!!

I want a quick shifter for my lil sporty .wonder if it would help me stop going into neutral when I don't want to. lol
shift harder with your foot! lol
Quickshifter won't help with that

I have question guys, is it okay to quick shift in 200cc? Or only higher CC can quickshift?
Anyone know the exhaust they’re running on that mt-10
What gloves are those
What part of Florida you from btw I’m also from Florida 🙌🏼
seems very convenient
No missed shifts also with quickshifter
In the 70s I raced with crash boxes ...full throttle no clutch
2. 79 for a gallon of gas! what year was this video made and in what country is it made.
Hey Hey, do you have Launch Control with that quick shifter kit? if so, can you please demo :) cheers for the awesome vids

Kinda like rev matching in a car
Naturally... we now need a video about auto-blipping. Just saying!
looks like a good thing for a sport bike. what this video really showed me is how slow my fatboy is
Cool
Isn't that kind of a automatic gearbox or shifter?!
After reading your comment section for this video, I do believe you do very well if you made an ONLY FANS page for the sound of that MT10 🤭
RSSV should be changed to ride fast, weave in traffic. Not as catchy but more realistic
do it down shift
So it's basically a DCT that you shift with your foot instead of your thumb and finger.
I love batman...im glad you asked
weird.
@@BaggerBro the only weird thing is that you ride a roadking instead of being a busabro🤡🤡

Mt 10 > just about ever other bike
please lets NOT FORGET that NOT all bikes will have Quick Shifter mode.
unless your racing you are taking away the joy of riding a motorcycle - not for cruisers unless you have arthritis .
I am my own quick shifter. BwaaBwaaBwaa.
So it's basically an automatic
no not really
it just takes out the clutch lever
So I guess there’s no point in having a quick shifter on a Harley. Heh, heh.
