He’s right. This is better. Allowing people to live and die addicted and unsafe on the streets is inhumane.

Do you know them to call them addict a lot of them homeless men and women went to war to fight for the same people who have the nerve to call them addicts what do you think they had to go through and come home and get treated like shit shame on you and the rest of you they came home with mental problems fighting for you and that shit head mayor dam shame.

This isn't better, it's more of the same. Those beds are grouped together with no walls to cram as many people as possible. People get beaten and robbed while asleep. It's safer on the streets.

Those that just dont want to do better they refused to because they dont want to pay bills ect. Especially that has income, they just cope with life on drugs and alcohol. When they keep going sleeping under Bridget's and or fighting attacking people or putting themselves in dangerous situations. I seen a
Shelter called the Mission in Rockford, I'll had those people arrested because they said they were a danger to themselves and the community. Those staff member did not mistress or hurt the homeless. They would been over backwards for them. They had one side of the build living drug treatment for men the other side of a big building for woman. And another location for families and children. They worked with low income housing program and landlords within the city.

This is absolutely horrible. Either give these people real homes/apartments/studios, or leave them the HELL alone.
Why on earth would you go out of your way to design a NEW homeless shelter to look like a damn prison?
Build ROOMS. It's not that hard. ONE PERSON TO A ROOM. HUMANS DESERVE HUMAN DECENCY. Humans in 2023 are NOT used to sleeping comunally 50 people to a room. this type of environment encourages people's drama, crime, violence, and theft. THIS IS HORRIBLE AND ILLOGICAL.

I'm not a resident of NY, but it sounds like he's doing a great job as mayor. This is an excellent step towards getting this community the help they need to change their lives. It starts with a safe place to sleep, relax, eat, and get the helpful resources that may be needed to help them in becoming whole again. However, the foundation of their permanent healing, deliverance, and destiny resides in Jesus Christ, whenever they chose to seek Him.
It's also a better system, and safer for citizens who are being violated by those in the homeless communities.👏

It’s people like you that are the actual problem… that keep offering sympathy and giving the less fortunate a pat on the back thinking they’re gonna be on a road to a second chance. We already know the reality of this, 90% of them screw up and end up back in jail or back on the streets and are the ones responsible for the rise of violent of crimes because they are not mentally capable. Unfortunately the only solution is to institutionalize them. It’s the only way to keep innocent people just trying to commute to work safe. You must not have to ride the 2 train everyday and actually see what’s happing out there.

At the end of the day it’s not safe or fair for people to be forced to live like this because someone might not want to do something or afraid of the outcome by being in the shelter. Looks damn good and better then shelters I’ve seen (not in the city). It’s sad that there are people out there really saying they have the “ right “ to be on the side of the road. That’s not realistic, no one in their right mind would want that for themselves.

You should have a comprehensive plan not a patch plan and dumping them in the lowest income and most poverty strict part of the city and that will cause more harm to the Bronx community. You gotta take the homeless out of the city and all the way upstate and put them under supervised rehab and training. . They need to be away as much as possible from the city environment, easier to score drugs again.

All the fighting inside those temporary shelters is probably going to be worse than living in the streets. This is an unthoughtful solution.

I worked at the Bowery Safe Heaven. It was crazy. I don't know if it's better than sleeping at grand central or Penn station. There were bed bugs drugs and fights all the time.

This is nice. People also should have the right mindset to change, to be out of homelessness. If everything is free, aint nobody gonna get his butt up and actually try to get a job. And give me a break about permanent this and that. Come one, every body gotta get out there and work. It's like every tax payers are working really hard so that they can have a promised life with everything? Just give us a break. Those funds should be used somewhere else for a better cause, after these homeless people got help and finally getting on their own.

    💕 March 30, 2022💕
“I AM TAKING CARE OF YOU. Trust Me at all times. Trust Me in all circumstances. Trust Me with all your heart. When you are weary and everything seems to be going wrong, you can still utter these four words: "I trust You, Jesus." By doing so, you release matters into My control, and you fall back into the security of My everlasting arms.
Before you arise from your bed in the morning, I have already arranged the events of your day. Every day provides many opportunities for you to learn My ways and grow closer to Me. Signs of My Presence brighten even the dullest day when you have eyes that really see. Search for Me as for hidden treasure. I will be found by you.”
    (JESUS CALLING)

Is he listening to the homeless who are fearful of their safety. Why don't they have individual rooms. How can you ensure that someone will not be violated at night. So, what happens if someone wants to sleep and the light is on. Although, I understand his gesture this is not appropriate.

Up here in Rochester NY a guy at a shelter got into scuffle with the cops, armed with a knife begged for the cops to shoot kill him sorry but the cops had no choice. Prayers 🙏 solace ✌️👏💖🌹💋

I am currently homeless. I have never been in a shelter. What can I do? I have reached out to several community-based organizations, but they never pick up the phone.
