For those who have never been to the Bronx, this video doesn't represent the entire area. It focuses on 149th Street and 3rd Avenue, where few individuals seem too comfortable in their situation. While I want to help, I can't. U see the police in the video keeping everyone safe and having him under control. The Bronx is a culturally rich place with a lot of diversity, and if you don't bother people, nobody is going to bother you. As you can see, I'm walking and filming with my phone on a gimbal, and nobody approached me. The Bronx is a land of freedom where you can do whatever you want, a place I truly admire and enjoy. Bless us and save us!!!!😱 I can't believe I walked through these very streets while growing up in Mott Haven over sixty years ago that the entire districts, especially Fordham Road, turned the Bronx into a smut and filth borough today. How can it be that Fordham was once a popular shopping site where you could spend the weekends with your family visiting stores, eating in small delicatessens, and participating in social street activities all year round? Watching this upload is not only shocking, but it fills my heart with despair to find nothing but disorder and mayhem among the neighborhoods that were pristine at one time, with residents who rigorously precedented in maintaining the quality of life in the Bronx. Judging by the current outlook of the streets and blocks, I wouldn't go near my old neighborhood if you promised me room and board at the Waldorf because it comes as no surprise that an invader would cut my throat to apprehend my $10.00 watch.

There were elements of drug use and poor people like most places where normal people live but I did not feel unsafe, people noticed that I was lost and offered directions. I noticed HEAPS of gum on the footpath. Other than that everyone stuck in their lane and did their thing. I loved the sounds & multiculturism and am looking forward to returning to NYC!

Downtown Seattle is basically chill for the most part. Just don’t walk through 3rd & Pine/3rd & Pike & you’ll be alright. Same with SF. Avoid the Tenderloin at all costs, & you’ll be good. Now…downtown LA? That’s a whole different story 😂
@MikeV.-sy6fl where else? I was in downtown SF 2 months ago & it was chill. Union Square, Mission, Castro, Fisherman Wharf, all that didn’t run into any problems outside of the TL.

First time seeing the Bronx apart from the movies I didn’t realise Yankee stadium was that close to the centre of the Bronx It wouldn’t look as bad if the place had a goof clean up do they not employ road sweepers? Anyway fascinating video👍👍
I remember when 3rd Ave had an el train running above it. This was back in the 60s and 70s The population at that time was mostly black, white and Puerto Rican. White ppl left. That was called white flight.
"So-called human faults are false labels, not laws, so we don’t have to accept them as belonging to us and consequently act them out. The real man cannot depart from holiness, nor can God, by whom man is evolved, engender the capacity or freedom to sin. . . . In divine Science, God and the real man are inseparable as divine Principle and idea” (pp. 475, 476). It's also an extremely expensive block, those lil townhouse apartments are $$$$$$$$$
Looks like the place Rocky Balboa was living on the first movie, but that was Philadelphia.
i thought it was in manhattan
Facts .. I’m from Wagner & ppl forever mistake this
Whats with the tiny front doors?
This Video brought back a lot of memories, Am from the Dominican Republic lived in the Bronx precisely over that area by 152nd St. between Melrose and 3rd third Ave for about 15 years, it's like I was transported back in time into the past Waooo . Just Subscribed to your Channel keep 'em coming .
Can you imagine living on top of people like that? No thanks.
Diversity is our strength 🤣👌
Can u imagine your front door under a nasty stair case
@@VNeto94 you people are like parrots, only speak in stale facebook memes. lol
@user-ht3vx3du4b Sorry if our opinion bothers you more than the shitty place these people made for themselves. Poverty is no excuse for a lack of discipline and hygiene.
Wow that would be a nice place to visit, I like the way you do your tours of New York. You get a lot covered and its always pleasant to watch.
Cheers from Down Under.
It's like one of the least desirable places to visit.
Super video! Thx a virtual walking! What type is your camera?
I'd like to know what camera was used too.
I really love the speed at which this is produced. I get to visit cities in the comfort of my home on a 60" screen. Good Job! Subbed.
Glad you like it!
NYC was beautiful when Giuliani was running it.
Indeed
Cleaned it up!
Born and raised in the bronx 196 and Marion..block parties ,kingsbrigde terrace Kid Capri..good old days, Fordham rd..Grand concourse..Women everywhere..
2:59 thank you enjoy the stroll around my neighborhood
Strolling The City IS distinguished HALLMARK of the BIG APPLE. Brings back memorable memories of my past and easily remembered here - Thank you kindly Strolling The City!
Glad you're enjoying the videos! It’s wonderful to hear they bring back memorable moments for you. Thank you for the kind words and support!
Its a lot nicer now than it was was years ago. I used to work on 149th and Morris ave back in the early 90s. It was rough back then. Always love the bronx though
I'm from Indonesia, yours video is very clean, thanks and successful for you 🙏
Another eye-opening walking tour brother, seeing the highs & lows of this part of the Bronx, but seeing Yankee Stadium really warms my heart (life-long Yanks fan here)
The thing that hurts the most is seeing the men lying on the ground and all that rubbish left on the ground, as if time could take care, instead of us humans... 😌🙂
You never been to Harlem then… homeless on ground is typical from the very very little I saw
@@travelandeats8518No, unfortunately I haven't been to New York yet... I only saw Miami and Key West in 2000! In Miami there were quite a few, even of Caucasian origin. 😌😏
I grew up next door to the guy as the thumbnail … now living down south in a way different environment. I’m grateful.
I always wanted to visit New York. After seeing this video it's no longer something I'm interested in pursuing. Thanks for the upload! 👍
😂😂😂 you right you would have been a vic😂😂 talkin like that
Still go just don’t visit the Bronx. If you’re a tourist there’s not much to see there besides Yankees Stadium and the zoo perhaps.
@@Ray03595 Thanks will think on it. 😃
@@Ray03595You do realize that the Bronx has WAY more historical attractions than just the Bronx Zoo and Yankee Stadium, right? I would enlighten you on it but we'd be here all day.
if u dont want dont do it. whole world wish come more than u either new york dont lost nothing.
Boy! What a ride! I really enjoyed it very much. My opinion of the South Bronx has changed dramatically. It definitely has nothing to envy the other counties and sectors of the city. So much different from the walking tours, where you're at a slow pace throughout the journey, not seeing most of what is on the left nor right. Here, you're at a brisk pace taking in so much. Thanks a million.
what is your mode of transport? Electric skateboard? Are you using a visible camera mount? A few people gave you that side eye when they noticed being filmed. lol
One wheel GT. Apparently, if you take your time learning to use it, people 10 to 80can use it easily.
hahahahaha I was thinking the same thing !! Good footage too !!!! Jesus lord,!! Be safe on that thing !!!
Райский сад во всей красе !
The first building residential is beautiful, the pavement makes it feel more intimate 😊
Born in the Bronx (60s) and moved to Brooklyn (late 70s) I LOVE BROOKLYN would never move back to the Bronx…lost its flavor in the early 80s
Not gon hold you… i lived in polo grounds.. & 149 3d Ave in the X... Trust me these blocks lol…. Gotta go more deep in the neighborhood thats when u gon see the goons out word..
Lol. Bronx is not dangerous unless you're in a gang. Besides that, its fine. It's usually the crazy people with mental illness that cause the problem. Gangs always cause harm to other gangs or school related. I use to live in a lot of these areas. Even where the guy that was on the ground thats on Fordham RD. There are homeless and rehab clinics in that area
Thanks for sharing, I'm from California the eastbay👍🏾
This is my Neighborhood i grew up here.......i always feel safe......
im pretty jealous u, ive never been in united states but lived 15 years in İstanbul. met some peaple from new york but not much just some, while been stayed some small hotels. hope soon move to visite new york as well but anyway jealous all american citizens nowever who they are, is a great luck to be born in this country, born in Amerika❤
Then sleep with your doors and windows unlocked
Wonderful
I lived there in the 70s&80s
I went to ps32
then ps45
then to
Roosevelt H.S.
Wasn’t too bad, so long as you stayed in your hood .
I got jumped a few times for going into wrong park or area 🤷🏻♂️.
Great video! What kind of camera did you used to make that video?
hey love how you addressed what ride you use at the beginning. hello from Toronto great video!
Great video, I assume this was drone footage but it looks awesome. Thanks for posting. New subscriber.
THX 4 D UPLOAD
I used to live in the Bronx and this is depressing to watch !! SMH
Great job covering the areas though 👍
How is thhe camera hidden. Very few people pay attention to it, so I would guess that it is hidden in some way
Lleva la cámara en el casco de protección de la cabeza
I visited NYC from Australia in late March/early April and before leaving to visit to Chicago I attended the Yankee's season opener against the Blue Jays with my mother, after the game I walked around the Bronx attempting to get an uber/taxi to LaGuardia with no luck, people in Manhattan were telling us to avoid some areas surrounding the stadium but was forced to walk around.
The bronx is not care for by the city, they have to do more, it was sad to see the court house so dirty and not painted, i lived in that area in the 70's, thanks for sharing 👍
I was hoping you would keep going up 161st I was born and raised in the South Bronx ... Those were my old stomping grounds... Went to Sts Peter and Paul on 161st Brook Ave.. by the 42nd Pct. Lived in McKinley Houses on 161st Btwn Trinity and Tinton Aves. Moved out 28 years ago .. Haven't been back since.
Excellent video!
I was in Bronx only once, for the zoo. I remember I got out of the metro station and walked down a long slope.
Bronx looking cleaner and better than rest of all cities...
This is so cool and not what I imagined. I’d love to visit.
Go to East NY or Brownsville at 2:00am . That’s a little scary.😮
More like expensive now days
It's beautiful, it's looks like somewhere in SaoPaulo in Brazil ❤
At times during this amazing video, it felt like you were in a 3rd world country.
But everyone I have talked to who is from NYC or has lived there always speaks so lovingly about it, and about the special vibe and enrrgy of it. 👍
They respect were they are from but no there is no positivity among living in a drug run down poor neighborhood.
Next time im in new New York perhaps you could offer a Bronx tour. Great video this❤
Sylvan Terrace look like a new development. Because it definitely wasn’t there when I lived in NYC but overall, great footage of them hoods in the X, yu erd 💯‼️🏆👑💪🏾🗽
What are you talking about? They’re Victorian row houses from 1887. They were servants homes that worked at Morris- Jumel Mansion. They have been well preserved and still thriving close to Washington Heights above Harlem.
What has happened to the Bronx man. 70 years ago that was the best place in New York. So many famous people lived there, and it was a massive center of tourism.
hes literally showing ONLY the bad parts
Not anymore, descent people left and move somewhere
GTA " The Great Depression "
😂😂
Parts of the Boogie Down Bronx are real screwed.....
What kind of videocámara did you use for this video??
It looks very clear..👍

These videos make me feel so much better when I’m feeling Home Sick🥹💜 Thanks for Posting videos like this🙏🏾💜
Home sweet home to me. Personally I love the culture. Cool video thanks for posting it.
What culture? And what's sweet about it?
What a lovely place!
I worked in The Hub for years....never had any trouble, great food, real nice people. I kinda miss it.
And lots of crack addicts walking like zombies, many of them asking for money, getting into restaurants and snatching food away
Ha. Finally got to know. Without driving there. Thank you. 😉👍
Where's the danger? This just looks like any working class neighborhood anywhere. Try walking through downtown Seattle, San Francisco, or LA for a reality check
Dog there was a dead body laying there for 20 minutes
Downtown Seattle is basically chill for the most part. Just don’t walk through 3rd & Pine/3rd & Pike & you’ll be alright. Same with SF. Avoid the Tenderloin at all costs, & you’ll be good. Now…downtown LA? That’s a whole different story 😂
@@kevincosgrove4954 Don't know if he was deceased. Temp was 85 that day, but humid weather made it feel in the upper 90s
@MikeV.-sy6fl where else? I was in downtown SF 2 months ago & it was chill. Union Square, Mission, Castro, Fisherman Wharf, all that didn’t run into any problems outside of the TL.
@MikeV.-sy6fl man, the mission & Chinatown were popping when I went. We must have had 2 different experiences lol
Watching in 2x speed. Nice. Seems so many places of Brazil. Nice.
Esse subúrbio americano da de 10x0 no centro financeiro do nosso Bostil, 1 milhão de vezes melhor que São Paulo em infraestrutura e pavimentação das ruas. 😂
BOM DIA IRMÃO 😘 VC SEMPRE NOS SURPREENDENDO
Awesome camera work!
wonderful video
I’m from Argentina and there are many parts that are similar to my neighborhood, I would also be careful around at night :)
Garage everywhere, not when I was growing up. It’s really sad 😢. These are some parts of The Bronx county. This is Melrose and Park Avenue and Third Ave and Hunt Point …The South Bronx.
First time seeing the Bronx apart from the movies I didn’t realise Yankee stadium was that close to the centre of the Bronx
It wouldn’t look as bad if the place had a goof clean up do they not employ road sweepers? Anyway fascinating video👍👍
Every city has "dark places"...
Which us why I got tf out
@MikeV.-sy6fl lol
Very smooth 🤌🏽 perfect
What camera did you use?
Wish you would’ve went up 4 more blocks when u got to 3rd Ave 154th st. But u turned around. I grew up in this area as a kid.
To believe that we can’t help ourselves because we were created with these failings or sins would dishonor God. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health: “Man is incapable of sin, sickness, and death. The real man cannot depart from holiness, nor can God, by whom man is evolved, engender the capacity or freedom to sin. . . . In divine Science, God and the real man are inseparable as divine Principle and idea” (pp. 475, 476).
As the perfect reflection of God, man expresses divinely derived qualities such as discernment, patience, obedience, humility, love, and the desire to be useful and serve God in a way that blesses all.' Christian Science Journal
Nice treadmill video!! Good work
Totally different world than my life.
Mine too, thank God. 🙏
I am interested in the Bronx's geological features, boulders and evidence of ice age striations, and hidden natural places like the Bronx river and its waterfalls. The Bronx Zoo is a great place to visit as well.
Are u sure it's not Lagos?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The slavery thing was a white man's idea
.....
I live in paradise. So blessed.
Good for u. Where is it located?
It’s disgusting how filthy the Bronx has become.
Lmao you know NOTHING of The Bronx. Go look up 70-80s Bronx here on this platform then get back to me.
Lmao I was just looking at my 2nd grade picture where 80% of the bronx was abandoned buildings filled with addicts, now it's top 3 safest city with 1M people, what a change.
@@mosesbecerril7981they said it’s filthy and disgusting which it is. There is garbage absolutely everywhere. An overall NYC problem to be fair but gets especially bad in the Bronx
Here we go again...just because you saw ONE PART of the Bronx doesn't automatically mean the entire borough is. And don't give me the "I never said the entire borough is bad" when your comment clearly implies it. Stop bad mouthing the Bronx.
@@NovusOSC Amen to that! I grew up on Burke Avenue and WPR...late 50's - 60's...Morris Park Aven after that through 1978...were still beautiful areas even at that time...
This area 149 & 3rd, is a busy shopping area.Alot of buses run thru there, & the train.
No worst than some areas in Harlem, Brownville,Bed Sty, Jamaica & other area, out of NYC.
Man this neighbourhood is ugly, it's just so eclectic and kitschy, no building fits any of the others visually. It's like no planning process went into building this place.
This is just like the average big city in Brazil. Our downtowns are mostly depressive and dangerous at night.
@@VNeto94 yeah, I've heard that no Brazilian cities were planned except for Curitiba and Brasilia.
