Look at the sheer gap in cinematic quality between his early nominations and his latest ones. Marakkar may be a visual spectacle, but it cannot hold a candle to the raw emotions that Mohanlal depicted as a 27 year old in Amrutham Gamaya.
Sure Mohanlal is better talented than Mammootty. But still with his limited capabilities is still relevant today. So, please don't undermine the other.
