Never realise acting was such a huge task coz i grew up watching these actors. So effortless so natural. I've read article long ago that said company scene where he picked up that paper weight and playing with it is actually an improvised scene too
Goosebumps man🔥🔥 Absolute banger narration and choice of movies bro ...Wish people who knew him only from Drishyam series (or maybe Lucifer), watch those gems from his prime in 80's and 90's . Felt like you have become a 'malayali' ♥️♥️👏👏🔥🔥👍👍
A fan boy of merit.. Beyond class, race and creed!! Well done sire ❤ Alas, not many will appreciate this effort.. we live in a world of mindless reels.
@@filmkopath binge watching your channel now and shared with my Bengali friend - just found out your are Bengali, cheers from a stereotypical middle aged mallu living in the Gulf (so you know your audience ;-/). Thanks again for the amazing content 🍻
Goat 🐐 you missed one of his best performances like Sadayam Thazvaram and were he uses eyes to depict his emotions as psychic transition and fear and there is a scene in Thanmatra to wards the end ( window scene) his eyes feel tired without any makeup and one more thing everyone forget to mentioning his performance in padamudra too
Great video team!! we have great actor all over india, but what is special in malayalam is that the mainstream superstars are also admirable thespians apart from being the crowd pullers as other counterparts. Graced to being alive to in the era of Mohanlal and Mammootty. Thilakan, Murali or Bharth Gopi are arguably better than these two, I know, but to balance being the best at their craft in art and market is a very hard thing to pull of, and with this longevity. Hats off to the big Ms Also hats off to you guys, for being true ceniphiles. ❤
Man... Best analytical video on Mohanlal..hands down...that i have come across.... Thanks for this video man.... Made my day... Goosebumps!!! Even remembering that single scene from Thanmatra makes one teary eyed.... Just to add though, you could have simply mentioned his nuanced performances in Dasharatham, Orkapurathu, Thoovanathumbikal, Sadayam, Bhramaram, Pranayam, Vastuhara, Utsavapitennu,...the list never ends...
@@filmkopath couldn't agree more... By the way just happened to watch your interview with krishand you did a year back, with nonaprince and all...loved it... Hats off to you... interactions like these help garner attention to such gems in the industry now which the mainstream media and popular RUclips channels choose to ignore... People following your content will definitely watch such movies which otherwise gets sidelined in the noise of the so called popular cinema or commercial cinema endorsed by the stars... Krishand deserves more attention and space in the mainstream media.... And he is literally an outlandish Genius in the classical sense of the term...and a guy with an incomparable characteristic sense of humour.... I had the opportunity to work with him and feel so proud to know him.... Can't wait for his crazy ideas to be seen materialised on screen with the backing of some big production houses so that he doesn't have constraints financially and technologically to realise those...
@@sethurjv6022 We love Krishand. He has been such a supporter of our channel. Thank you for your kind words. Please share with your fellow cinephile friends, we need more viewers like you 🙏
Thanks a lot for the wonderful videos...Believability can easily be extended to him delivering songs (of course classical ones like in Chitram, His Highness Abdulla, Bharatham etc. but also good melodic ones) , his performance as a dancer (even though he isn't a trained dancer, his performance in Kamalafalam or Rajashilpi or even in commercial entertainers like Naran or Kakkakuyil) and to the action sequences...An extension to the unpredictability is what you see in Sadayam' especially in that scene and that vulnerability was so important for making him such an endearing actor in 80s and 90s... unfortunately, there are much lesser vulnerable characters and situations in the last 20yrs and that is what he has suffered ..😊
The character he plays doesn't become him as it's mostly a mix of him and the character but saying that no other actor in Malayalam In my opinion shows a character's depth as well as mohanlal even if it's a character that is totally opposite to him. His interpretation of a character is extraordinary and poetic in a way
His choice of films were bad for the past few years he is having a bad phase...the last film were i saw his performance as an actor was in 2009 movie bhramaram hope we can see more of him as an actor
@@swithinknair1057 All those roles were easy for him if you ask him to do those roles while sleeping also he would have done that but bhramaram really tested his acting abilities
he is genius unsullied… pure, refined, contained… never overboard.. nonpareil… ❤

exactly what we feel…. putting him in superhuman characters like we have witnessed in last decade takes the charm out of actor Mohanlal.
