I haven't tried the potted builder but at this point the bottle works best for me. I watched a lot of videos and the detail brush trick is very helpful. You can just put a dab of builder in an area that needs more and the tiny brush blends it in seamlessly. I use one very thin layer and only build up if I need to. In most cases I don't do any filing and just go on to my color. Still relatively new at doing my own gel polish but having good results and wear so far.
I just wipe as much as I can off on a clean paper towel- kind of pinch the brush between my fingers with the paper towel in between of course. Then put the cap on and store it away from light. If I get too much color from the BG on the brush- I just wipe it through some clear BG or clear gel before putting the cap back on!

Do I have to use primer for builder gel and dip?
Just builder gel! Gels need primer as it leaves a sticky layer behind so the gels can adhere to your natural nails. Primer often makes dip lift!

That’s great!! The tiny brush really does work fabulously! Glad to hear the bottle works so well for you!
Nicole, how do you clean off the brush used for builder gel?
I just wipe as much as I can off on a clean paper towel- kind of pinch the brush between my fingers with the paper towel in between of course. Then put the cap on and store it away from light. If I get too much color from the BG on the brush- I just wipe it through some clear BG or clear gel before putting the cap back on!
Can you use the BG in a bottle as a slip layer then BG in a jar for the rest?
Absolutely!! If you feel more comfortable with the bottle first- you definitely can!
Nicole, when you use the angled cleanup brush do you have acetone or alcohol on it?
I use alcohol! 99% isopropyl alcohol!
Do you need to ruff up the nail when you have builder gel on when you use gel polish
Yep! That will help the gel polish adhere to the Bg. And make sure to use gel base first before gel polish colors!
I think, this is how you normally sound. You’re fine.
Awe thank you Teri!!!
