    The sound is just spectacular, I am shocked about how that sounds, just great! Thanks for your video!

    Just got this. I upped the sound to "High" & lowered the Noise canceling to "weak" for iPhone use. I think those are the cleanest settings. I'm ok with "Medium" for sound, but I like it to be a bit louder. For whatever reason, on iPhones external audio is always a bit lower in volume. I think the "Strong" noise reduction is a bit tinny, but may be necessary in a really loud environment. I think the "weak" noise canceling doesn't impact audio quality & helps with background hum or static. The app makes switching settings a snap.

    I had the big brother Lark Max - but I also got this one to fill specific situations where it is perfect and can perform magnificently when the big brother was not a good choice. It is a wonderful tool to have in your bag on a field assignment. What I really love it that Hollyland mics sound wonderful compared to other brands. There is no loss in audio quality with this mic. Thanks for the video. No apologizing for this mic - it more than fills a niche and sounds great doing it.

      @@LouisLuzuka For outside action type when you do not have a controlled environment - the Max. Knowing that you have the mic recording also - is the reason. For controlled situations - interviews and such - the V2 is my choice. Really great sound from both. It is all about if you need to have a back-up plan in place.

      @@chrisbogart687 wow that’s amazing because I would’ve thought the v2 for the uncontrolled environment because of run and gun, but you would want at least a backup recording of the controlled environment like an interview at least, and it’s interesting to see this perspective, if you were to buy one, which one would u buy ? I’m considering as a student I’m also looking at the budget 100% love your perspective

    Really impressive these tiny mics! Soundquality is really really good👌🏻In my opinion noise cancelling mode gets your audio a little bit more flat but for this situation at CES with many people & noise around its nice to have this option. I hope they release a single package of this tiny mic. I dont need two transmitters as a solo creator. Two transmitters you need for professional audio situations like client interviews and for this I would also use the dji mic. Thanks a lot for this really cool & well explained review!👍🏻

    Hello Aldryn, the Hollyland Lark M2 wireless mic setup is looks to be an excellent affordable unit. Their new setup is affordable and recording is quite good for its size. Not only can use use the unit for a camera or phone, but it looks like you could also use it for audio transmission on the DJI RC2 controller for livestream audio. One very impressive and affordable package! Thank you for your onsite testing🙏.

    The record time is actually 10 hours on one charge. After that you have to put the mikes into the charging case, wait 1.5 hours and then use it again. The case holds only two full charges x two TX = 40 hours. So if you use two TX and the same time you will get max 20 hours of use with 1.5 hours in between.

    Great video! Very informative and super impressed on the size and the features. The only small critique I have is I wish you would have done the range test in a crowded room full of people. Doing it at the CES convention would have been great, although the distance you were showing at CES was still impressive as well. But overall great video!

    Seen a lot of comparison videos recently between DJI mic 2 and Røde pro 2, but the sound quality in this video was far superior. I'm not sure if something is happening to the sound from DJI and Røde in post, but when you combine this and the prices quoted, I know where I'm spending my hard earned right now.

    We recently got a new device and discovered a secret way to record with it. We use a camera transponder connected to the phone via USB-C. It works great and clips onto the side or fits in a pocket. However, the USB-C connection doesn't fit with my phone case on, and I dislike having to remove the case because I'm worried about dropping the phone.

    The down side to the phone is knowing your audio levels without playing back first. You audio was clipping to your phone, getting enough volume certainly isn't a problem :P. Funny, this was a concern of mine as well. That is, knowing the audio level when recording and if it can be set to any level of gain or doesn’t only have 3 choices? As a side question, how do you like your Lark MAX? And like you, I was wondering how the MAX would work with a gimbal using an iPhone, if that;so even possible.

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio 8 месяцев назад

      @@kevinwinard7140 Having a direct connection to mobile phone is far nicer with the M2. The Max has far more volume control and is simply a higher end system, to digital camera I'd go max. For mobile phone the M2 is small and convenient and what I would recommend for use with a gimbal, no wires hanging down and no "cables" to worry about. With a mobile phone weather you use the Max or M2 you'd never know your volume levels for certain without an APP to tell you or until you play the audio back with a pre-testing

    This little package looks great. Love the size, and discreetness of it. Sounds pretty dang good too...i only noticed when at the convention without NR turned on it was picking up your breath/plosives a lot when speaking.
    How is the handling noise when moving around? I find with the dji mic it picks up every shirt rustle and clothing sounds... pretty annoying...they need to have something built in to also eliminate clothes rustling like wind reduction...not sure thats even possible...

    I wish more YT creators/reviewers felt the need to talk about the lack of a battery replacement option in these systems and the resultant e-waste. Because a couple of years of use later these things would be completely useless simply because the batteries stopped recharging
