    Nice video Clive, seems like a very good bit of kit, well suited to the use cases you gave as examples of. I wondered though if there was a desktop version of the app and if therefore you could plug the receiver in as a dongle on your pc...to use for conference calls or streaming maybe?

    • @CliveIllenden
      @CliveIllenden  Месяц назад +1

      I'll have to test them out. There may be different receiver you can get - like the one for the DSLR camera

      I tested them on the PC and they work! It recognises it as a "wireless mic". A little more quiet than my standard Rode Mic, but works ok. 👍🏾

    From 4:37 onward - are you using the hollyland mic?
    Also - great video - I suggest adding your thoughts/impressions throughout the video and not just at the end.
    Also - chapters. :)

      Yes, from 4:37 it is all Hollyland Mic. I've added chapters, so thanks for the suggestion. 👍🏾

    Hi. Can you record stereo with two microphones? People say it records mono and you can't separate audio channels for two different sources. Thanks.

    • @CliveIllenden
      @CliveIllenden  Месяц назад +1

      Both microphones record in stereo at same time - as far as I can tell. I don't think you can separate out the tracks. It may depend on what recording software you're using. The adapter for a SLR or DSLR camera does allow recording in mono

    Can we use this mic for teaching or in scenarios like TED talks ?

    • @CliveIllenden
      @CliveIllenden  28 дней назад +1

      The version I have is for Android phones - so requires a USB C connection, they do a version for DSLR cameras etc that uses a 3.5mm microphone jack. So if you use those for TED talks etc, then it's possible. Hollyland also do other wireless mics that maybe more versatile and suitable for your requirements.

    Has anyone tried to hide this under somebody's shirt or clothing - so it's not visible on camera at all? If so, how did it sound? Did it make a weird bump?

    • @CliveIllenden
      @CliveIllenden  15 дней назад

      I have seen people use this method. Inevitably there will be some rubbing etc as you'd get with any lavalier mic you hide under a shirt, but it is possible - just depends on how much movement there is.

    can I use it on discord and video calls would love since my sony wh 1000xm5 has bad microphones

    • @CliveIllenden
      @CliveIllenden  Месяц назад

      If you mean for PC, well it's not designed for PC - HOWEVER, I tried it and it actually works. The PC recognised it as a "wireless mic" and I recorded myself. A little more quiet than my standard mic - but it works. So yes - should work for Discord and video calls etc. Same if you mean for mobile phone use (although you still have an issue of needing headphones via bluetooth or something.
