Yup, very haunting... Young is actually considered the father of drone music, and inspired many composers and musicians, like Terry Riley or... The Velvet Underground. @@Sound_ology
That's some hard techno at the beginning.... I'm not even sure you need a bouncy kick drum. That second one is almost like an electronic equivalent of bagpipes at the start (which is cool I like bagpipes). The middle sounds like a great bassline for a downtempo chill song. Supposedly mine arrives today from Detroit Modular... Thanks for giving me a little inspiration while I wait. :-)
That's a good idea! It actually sounds awesome for leads and basses, I actually wrote a whole track with my Subharmonicon. I'd share it but I wrote it for a client, so I should make sure it's ok with her.
It’s a tough one! I made a video on how I use it because I also found it difficult to fit into systems for a long time and finally figured it out. Check it out if you’re interested!
@@Sound_ology I saw that the other day! But I feel like this one is closer to what I want to do. I think I need to come to terms with it being the more ambient part of my rig and not try to shoehorn it into the dub techno that I'm trying to do now
Wicked video! Got my subharmonicon two weeks ago and still trying to wrap my head around it, could you make a video with a beginner rundown of it and how to go about making patches/progressions using it?
@@Sound_ology thanks! I've been struggling how to incorporate the synth into existing projects (like how to tune it against my track's scale, how to make good sounding arps or whatever). There's no info online for that kinda stuff
Always fancied one of these but with the behringer spice clone on the way it’s getting harder to justify, love moog and they must’ve given behringer permission (I would hope) but it wasn’t the smartest move. Would like to hear a side by side comparison before I splurge
Thanks! Yes, in one way or another they are. There are a few patch points that allow you to choose how the sequencer triggers notes, which is super useful. But I didn't use any external gear.
I gotta say this is the best demo out there. Amazing job. This just blew me away so much.
Thanks for the video.
Thanks!!
Best demo so far of this. That Bassy section was awesome!
Love all of this, but that ambient section was what finally made me pull the trigger on this synth. Such a nostalgic, beautiful sound!
wow, this is the best Subharmonicon demo out there
you make by far the best subharmonicon vids, did not even realize until now that all videos i saved about subh are from your channel
Thank you!!
Thank you for a real demo and no talking. This is what most of us want to hear before buying
Bassy patch is awsome, the rhythm is really interesting
3:07 : sounding exactly like La Monte Young in "The Well Tuned Piano" ! He used just intonation in this piece, just like the subharmonicon here.
Woah, awesome reference! Just checked it out, very strange and interesting

This is great! Thanks! I recently bought a Moog Grandmother and I'm thinking this might be a great synth to add to it.
Impressive. I've never heard the Subharmonicon sounding techno+industrial. 0 doubts about getting one ASAP.
Best demo yet of its capabilities- beautiful job
Beautiful stuff!
This is a great demo of this beast! I have one on the way to me, which I hope will arrive before the weekend... I don’t envisage much sleep...
Very Nice Demo
You really know your way around Sir (!)
Dude you Master it. I've juste tried it in a shop and I can tell... Good job ☺️
05:00 reminds me a lot of Caribou's Sun

Shout out Detroit modular, shop local yall lol
nice demo man.
Nice different take on the Subharmonicon!
Very nicely done! Any videos including transposition of sequences using an external keyboard would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome! Good job!
Nicolas Argot thanks!
beautiful man!
Beautiful
Thanks, I need some inspiration on using this. I can't seem to make it fit with my other gear

@@Odesity I freakin love this idea. I’ll definitely make a video on that!

It looks pretty cool also for techno sounds
Yeah you can drive the filter in a really nice way
Wonderful demo, thank you for sharing.
Are all notes being triggered from the internal sequencer?
Thanks! Yes, in one way or another they are. There are a few patch points that allow you to choose how the sequencer triggers notes, which is super useful. But I didn't use any external gear.
Wow, I’m impressed with what your getting out of this. I’m going to borrow some of these patches if you don’t mind.
Thanks! Yes, go right ahead!
but are cable connect from ?
Nope, no other gear!
Thumbs up! :)
