Thnx for posting this vid as it brings back fond memories. We used to go on family holidays up that way staying at Pukehina Beach so I have played the course many times. The first time I played Te Puke (11 January 2015, still have the card) I shot a 78 off the whites with my nephew in tow. I didn't know where any of the trouble was and bombed away all day without fear. I never got anywhere near breaking 80 after that!!!! The pro was a nice guy and the club had a $9 for 9 holes special after 3pm during summer back in the good old days. Taco shot something stupidly low to win the 2019 NZPGA I believe. Tell us more about your Fijian heritage please Tooms.
How good is it playing a course for the first time and not realising where the trouble is! Was nice to play ambrose with Tooms, going after it knowing he will get it in play if I don’t. The club is still a great place to play. Hopefully you make it out there again soon! Missed opportunity to get into his Fijian heritage. Felt like we would have plenty of time to chat, and just like that the round was over.
hey love the yardage book style tracers! gives us a WAY better concept of your shot decisions not knowing the course ourselves. Also - soooo many Toomsisms in this video that I skipped back to listen to again. Cheers boys!

Strong disagree that the golf doesn’t matter. Love the banter and personality but don’t want to watch average golf. The fact you guys are hitting solid shots and talking about what you are thinking about is what keeps me coming back.
