Hi everyone, welcome to my channel! I'm Omar, and in this video we'll discuss the 3 common mistakes accordion players make when switching to the bandoneon.
The accordion and the bandoneon are bellows instruments, so it's easy to think their playing techniques are similar.
Many accordion players start playing the bandoneon, and I did the same-I played the accordion before switching to the bandoneon. So, I decided to make a video about the 3 most common mistakes to avoid if you're an accordionist wishing to play the bandoneon or have just started. Correct these mistakes to make your transition to the bandoneon smoother.
This video applies to both the diatonic bandoneon (or bisonoric) and the chromatic bandoneon (or unisonoric). The core technique of playing the bandoneon is in the bellows, not the keyboard, so all bandoneons are the same in this sense.
