As someone who plays the Instrumemt for 12 Years now and started very young, thinking about how long it took me to get a basic hang of the instruments its really impressive!!! Well done!
lol, the accordion is my first proper introduction to music (started playing it in September) and it was definitely tricky at first. when i was learning my first little waltz, it took me a good few days just to play the first four measures with both hands & move the bellows at the same time. now, though, it's only taken me two days to play through a new song fairly smoothly, so that's cool. oh, and I'm also not learning alone! my dad's helping me and giving me pointers while he's relearning everything, so it's really handy to have him around to answer questions and whatnot. as far as figuring out how to play both hands, the way my dad taught me was to start with the bass first. that's the rhythm side, so it stays pretty simple and consistent (at least in the easy songs we're learning atm). once i have the rhythm down, I figure out the melody, and then when that's done I start putting it together measure by measure. the bass is the base (heh) of the piece, so once i have that foundation down everything else falls into place fairly smoothly. that method's working for me so far! aaand now that I have typed all that out I'm remembering that this video is from July so you might not be looking for advice lmao. ah well. cool video!
The 'silent' breathing of the piece you've composed - at the very beginning - immediately struck me, and pulled me away from another tab. I closed my eyes, and breathed along, immediately relaxing. Thank you for that.
You're really good, you learnt really quickly, start to use the bellows bette, open it when you start and close when the phrase is finished only, you juste have to think about it, the coordination between the two hands is difficult especially with strange rythms, but I'm happy to see people start the accordion, and also proove that we can start music or an instrument being an adult
Such a wonderful video!! Your song is so lovely, and the way you used that bellows button to let it ‘breathe’ is so gorgeous. Also the video as a whole, with the history parts and everything, so well done. Thank you for making this!!!
I have bought the very same accordion for 400 nzd. It is beautiful! I am starting from zero, I might record some of the learning process, let's see. Good job mate!
It’s been a while but if I remember, the chords jump mostly between e minor and a minor. The left hand is playing a bass chord chord accompaniment in 3/4. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
First I've got to fix the thing: the keyboard notes are scrambled and don't play a diatonic scale, second the chord buttons are jammed and play really weird as well. This is very perplexing but do like a challenge. Hope I can succeed.
I play: Bass, double and fretless electric. Hammond organ Some guitar Chromatic harmonica I bought a Cgriff chromatic accordion march 2024. The Cgriff RH is like a totally new instrument in addition stradela bass. It is so clever but the logic is different compared piano keyboard. But it is smarter and symetrical. I took a couple of hours nd 10 months to get to a level where dared to take it to jazz jam and play Cjam blues and not totally suck. Just suck…. I am 65 btw. You can teach old dogs new tricks.

As a 6 year experienced accordionist, you have got a lot to master. But for 30 days, dang, it's great!
Thanks for watching!

Send me a video of you playing it!!!
Your piece reminds me of a song from the RuneScape soundtrack
Impressive how quickly you picked it up, even with the prior musical training. Not seeing the buttons is a big hill.
Thank you! It’s still a struggle spot but it’s getting better haha!
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I see you have done several of these learning instrument videos. Which instrument has been your favorite to learn and why?
Alex, could you please tell me which bass notes you are using in this song! I love this tune you made up!

Oh yeah, not being able to see it was a definite challenge. But just like anything, it’s getting easier over time
Universities do not accept the accordion as an instrument.
Universities are shit
@@soundsnags2001 that is correct, however there are no other options for such rigorous formal study of music
They should
Wierd Al?
