@@crewfamilyphilippines we’re planning a February trip from Luzon to Dumaguete. We’d hoped to meet Mike and Paul while there. If you’re feeling better by then, maybe we could see you, as well? Get better, Sir. You’re one of the mainstays of the Negros crowd!

Hello, Monty, new to your video. I have q question. If your wife's family live in the same house. Who pays for the food. Does her family contribute in anything.
@Thephilipcartmelexperience While it may be cheaper to rent than buy a house in your Filipinas name, if you buy some property in your Filipinas name and you pass away after 20 years (thinking most expats that live there are over 60), she will be left with something tangible besides money and be able to take care of herself.
I’m living in Panama and I did visit the Philippines in 2008. The difference between the countries? In Panama a clearly more “Gold digger ladies”. Why I think so? They tell it into your face. 😮 How? “If you like to have my company on your side, you have to pay for…” Seriously? I’m sure there are not a lot of men who like that kind of women. I had someone else asking me right away if I could pay the international school of her 2 kids. I never dated this woman and she wasn’t a close friend either. But she asked for her kids around $1,000 monthly from me. That’s ridiculous. I didn’t experienced that in the Philippines. Well I was only 4 weeks there. In Panama a lot of young women flirting with me here in Panama. After the depressing life in Canada, I felt like “Brad Pitt” kinda. But I figured that they actually were looking at my wallet….. Another difference here in Panama? Single women at 40 don’t think that they are any good for a man. Why? Most Panamanian men looking for 18-25 years old girls. Most married men have at least 1 mistress on the side. In the beginning I was in a dilemma. I didn’t like a 18 year old girlfriend. I raised 5 kids in my life, for weren’t my kids, and I don’t like to raise another one. The 35+ women had a mental problem, because their husbands left for a younger woman. And you have the beauty industry beating the last cent out of women. Boob, but jobs done. Maybe not. So they looking for a Gringo who would pay for it. If this is done, they need dental work that everything is Hollywood like perfect…. No gracias! How did I end up in Panama? I was after my separation in Canada actually really glad to be alone. The pandemic hit the world, and the “panic button” hit Panama. Ladies who didn’t looked at me, did start calling me. “Are you still in Panama? Can we meet?” Honestly? I’m not a guy who sees an opportunity in that - if you know what I mean. And like you guys said: Trust your guts. - 6 months into the pandemic, I was at a supermarket. We were allowed 2 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for shopping in the lockdown. Just paid a crying man’s medicine at the store’s pharmacy and did put my groceries into the car. Opened my driver door and looked at a crying woman. I know. That’s me. With my bad Spanish I asked what was wrong. Well. She got kicked out of her apartment because she was not working. No food, no money. I honestly couldn’t walk away. So I offered one of my rooms to her. And I can feed a second person with my pension….. She is the same age as me. And she always remembers that I picked her up when she needed help. And yes. I had many guys come over and telling me in restaurants: “You know. You could easily have 2 or 3 younger hot girls instead of her. Didn’t you know that?” But again. Younger ladies can have my son’s phone number…. And my lady always is telling me: “Don’t tell anyone that you did find me in the streets…..” The money question? She asks one’s in a blue moon for money to send to her son or mother. I honestly tell her if I can do it at the time or not. If I can’t (because I need to buy materials for my house I am building) - I tell her to wait until I get paid. She has no problem with that. And not a lot of guys want a woman older than 55 in Latin America. She knows that absolutely. Update: I forgot one important thing about having a local girlfriend. You guys know that too. But I like to mention that. - If a foreigner is looking to rent a place - you get ripped off. Send your girlfriend to get a local price on the rent. I have many foreigners as friends in Panama and all of them pay 3-6 times for rent that I do. Fish market, or produce sale on the street? Your girlfriend gets the better price!
I agree with you. My ex wife is from Honduras. She is absolutely nuts. I spent a lot of time over there. One positive in Panama medical is free. I'm glad that you found a good lady 💛
I think your story has a lot of truth to it. I've seen it on TV reality shows, it's always the women from that part of the country who are looking for a sugar daddy. I would trust Philippinos much more than Panamaian.
Hello Monty and Chad, i've been a long time viewer. Just wanted to say that all videos about dating or relationship is making me wonder why do I keep watching? I clitched hoping to see on the family. Back in tje beginning of youtube, people wanted to document their lives. What about a day out with family? Problems and how you handled it. And so forth. Nothing against Chad. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching Gary, Aragel and I will work on that. With Faith in school and me just having another heart attack and just getting out of the hospital I have been posting videos that I had made before this happened.
I only gave my wife "money" to fly out to our honeymoon to where I had to be to catch a plane for my trip back home after spending time on her island. Now, I just give my wife money to support her back home AND for special occasions like Christmas coming up.
Hi Monty, Interesting video. Someone commentated that the filipina women are all Christians. He got it wrong. They are Catholics. Big difference and are like the Catholics of the 1960s here where I grew up being a Catholic going to the schools with priest in the family. So like any Catholic they don't throw the faith down you throat like good Chtistians here. The poverty is real there so the only way out for them is to marry or have someone that has a little money. For myself it was a place that has plenty of westernized young women that is like back in my high school or college days. I get a big kick out of the guys that get hooked up with the drama girls there. You really can be picky and choosy in the Philippines. It doesn't take much to choose a drama queen or a regular girl that wants to have family and is loyal without drama. Monty seems to be like myself. Handling the life events that comes along with a drama free wife who is also trying to understand how it works. So I give up a high five Monty. As most videos are not posted about facts.
Hi Fred, maybe we look at things the same way because we both grew up in Texas. I’m not Catholic and neither is my wife Aragel but we don’t try to push our beliefs on anyone. All of Aragel’s family are Catholics. I think drama queens are in every country and I always try to avoid them along with the negative people as well. Thank you for your kind words and your insightfulness 😊
Hi Monty, Like most of my family here and friends I grew up with none I know are practicing Catholics anymore. Just so you know that. But my wife still likes to go light the candles on occasions and she wanted my son Baptized. Over in the Philippines they still use the baptismal certificate as a form of ID. That is the government so came in handy.
@@fredfromtexas2764 Yes you are correct they use it for ID as well. We go to a lot of Catholic baptisms here.. we are just plain old Christians. We had our daughter dedicated to the church. Even with that Paul McGill and my friend Dave are both Godfathers for our daughter 😊 I just go with the flow brother
Yes best to go with the flow over there as the Catholic faith is not as hard core as most Christian faith especially here in Texas. And the Philippines still embrace the Catholic Church for official paperwork. Come to think of it when I got my first official driver's license in Toledo Ohio USA you could use your baptismal certificate instead of your birth for ID back in the day. My boy was Baptized but without God parents just a lot of volunteers with us at the church.
Seems like the Young guys are like a butterfly in a garden. I think it's not age, but maturity the girls are looking at. Mature guys look at a girl's soul and not their age.
