Basically the smaller but more peaceful and beloved younger sibling to the more dominant, popular, and obnoxious older sibling. Also, I feel that US, Australia, and Ireland lie more in the extroverted side of the cultural spectrum, while Canada, UK, and New Zealand tend to be more reserved (well really just the Southern England for the UK, as Northern England, Scotland and Wales don't seem to have that reputation).

    Contrary to popular belief: Americans are fascinated by people from other countries; more of us exercise than what's assumed by others abroad; being outgoing and extroverted (or as you all say "loud") can be an asset in establishing networks, friendships, and alliances in a heterogeneous culture; we don't "all have guns" - repeat - we don't "all have guns," in fact, many of us hate gun violence; many of us also enjoy silence and solitude (shocker!); the majority of us don't have passports because the travel industry in America is actually quite expensive and we aren't surrounded by four or six nations at any given time; we're educated, but unfortunately there isn't a nationalized way of paying for education, it's done by property tax, and many Americans hate that. Overall, it is as bigoted to rejoice in saying "Americans are fat, loud, and dumb" as it is bigoted to make assumptions about the Germans, French, Australians, and Canadians.
    And before anyone says, "It's just in good fun; we're taking the piss at Americans." You know, it's not in good fun. I've been to 12 countries in my life, I'm curious about people abroad - I enjoy it, in fact - and in my entire life I've never seen Americans chilling out laughing about how (fill in the blank) group of people represents a long list of flaws and annoyances.
    Shit, even when Americans are friendly, we're accused of being fake.
    If bigotry is wrong against Europeans, Asians, Africans, Australians, Pacific Islanders, and Latin Americans, then that same bigotry against Americans is equally wrong. So yeah, we're aware that you hate Americans.
    Finally, it's a bit of a paradox on how you don't want Americans traveling to your countries, but then you declare how Americans don't travel.
    Kind regards,
    A Fat Loud Dumb American

      I think there’s a difference between making fun of someone out of love and making fun of them for negative reasons. Plus it’s not like there aren’t a ton of Americans who cause trouble, you can’t blame people for being frustrated. The important thing is not to judge the whole by the actions of a few.

    As an American, I think the loud Americans people are encountering have to be from the northeast (New York and thereabouts). The rest of us aren't that loud. I can hear northeasterners from miles away, ugh. 🙄🙄🙄
    As for the rest...
    Most of the UK is either posh and gentlemanly, or...the people who end up on Jeremy Kyle. I definitely feel the "Americans of Europe" comment about England, they seem to be getting increasingly afflicted with the problems America has.
    Everyone's comments on Canada in the video are spot-on. I'm genuinely fond of most Canadians, they're more similar to us than any other countries, so I joke about moose and "sorry!" and maple syrup with my Canadian friends, but if anyone else is mean to them I am NOT having it, lol.
    Australia and New Zealand seem to just get incredibly wasted drunk. Don't know why everyone associates drinking with Ireland, it's Aussies and Kiwis making a dent on alcohol reserves. I once read that Australians are just British Texans and I feel like that's pretty accurate.
    Irish people are very funny, they've got a wicked sense of humor that I just love. Scottish people too, usually.

    • @jackdubz4247
      @jackdubz4247 Месяц назад

      Why is it unnecessary. The English conquered and occupied Ireland for hundreds of years. They still occupy a portion of Ireland that they colonised. The English tried to conquer and occupy Scotland on multiple occasions. All of which failed. That's not the kind of thing a friendly nation does to another. If the Irish and Scots hate the English, then it is completely justified. And just because the English and Scots share a monarch (creating a United Kingdom) then it doesn't mean that they are allies or friends.

      And the Welsh are the OG Celts of the British Isles. They are the true descendants of the Britons, the first inhabitants of Britain, before the Romans, Anglo-Saxon-Jutes, Vikings, and Norman French came. The Britons who settled from Britain to Ireland became the Gaelics. Those Gaelics who remained in Ireland became the Irish, those who settled to the Isles of Man became the Manx, and those who settled back to Britain, specifically in the north, became thee the Scottish. The Welsh, on the other hand, maintained their original Celtic identity, hence why their language branch is called Brythonic. Those Britons who moved to southwest Britain became the Cornish (from Cornwall), those who settled to Brittany in Gaul (modern-day France) after the Anglo-Saxon invasion became the Bretons (not to be confused with Britons). Those who remained in Wales became the Welsh (an exonym from the Germanic language that means foreigner). Today, the Welsh are far more fluent in their Celtic language than any other Celtic group is in his/her ethnic tongue.
