This song has a strange story of how it came to be - There is a Russian youtuber(Radio TAPOK) who does rock/metal covers re-written into Russian. He enjoys very good working relationship with Sabaton - covered about 8 of their songs(He got early access to one, releasing his russian version day before official release of the original), sung live with them during their Russian tour. Some months ago, he did "Battle for Moscow - in style of Sabaton" - His original song, sound inspired by Sabaton. Well... they made a cover of his song, which is what you are seeing.
В этой песне нет ничего веселого, она учит всех тех кто не русский, какую большую цену Россияне выплатили своими потерями чтобы вы все жили (потери более 27 000 000 человек плюс еще находят останки погибших, так что это число увеличивается)
I'd love to see you guys react to Sabatons In The Name Of God, its about the pain and suffering caused by terrorism and basically a distrack on terrorism. There are very few songs where you hear anger in Joakims (The Lead singer) voice , In the Name of god is one of those songs, and its a very good song from one of their older albums
It's interesting how few reactors cover that, when it is one of the things that have happened in recent history and more people would be able to relate to it.
You should view Night Witches a Russian female unit that fought the Nazis. Lady of The Dark is also huge. it is about the most decorated woman in history.
Yes, the camo is 'cause it's war themed. That's what they do, they've been writing songs about real war events or soldiers for about 2 decades now. This one is not an original Sabaton track tho, it was originally a Russian track by Radio Tapok (who has made multiple covers of songs by Sabaton and other heavy metal bands, with Russian lyrics). Sabaton translated it and added, as a surprise, a rendition of part of the Russian anthem into the second half of the solo. They do have songs more related to the US tho. 82nd all the way, Screaming Eagles, and Devil Dogs are 3 of these.
"This is so fun!" said no one ever in Russia in the '40s but yes, the song and video is awesome, just like the original. There is something special about the idea of covering one of the original songs of artist who usually does their covers. Gives you a little sense of community.
A Swedish band doing a Russian tribute song from Radio Tapok 🇸🇪🤘🇸🇪🤘🇸🇪… i bet Sabaton can make any person and country nostalgic and patriotic even if its NOT their own country … am i right??
Metal bands have been singing about military history forever, going back to Manowar, Saxon and Iron Maiden, that I know. Also Thin Lizzy's Emerald. But this is the whole of Sabaton's thing. They don't need any other kind of matching outfits, because it's all wars and battles. In terms of the battle of Moscow itself, it wasn't that close, or all that decisive. The Soviet Union wasn't going to surrender if Moscow was captured any more than Tsarist Russia was going to surrender just because Napoleon took it. And it wasn't that close, because the Germans wrere extremely far from their csources of supplies and re-inforcements, whereas the Red Army was retreating closer to its sources of supply, so that their ability to defend was growing by the hour. Moscow had great airfields, great transport infrastructure, great food stocks, all helping the Red Army stay strong while the Wehrmacht just got hungrier and more worn out.

Sabaton is a swedish band whos songs are themed around historical events of war, every song is based in history and has it's own unique back story. You should definately look up more of their songs, some tips are: "No bullets fly", "Night Witches", "Livgardet (use captions for translation)", and one of my favorites "En livstid i krig". On the last one you should react to the live version from Gothenburg of their Great Tour, it's in swedish but there are captions and the reason you should react to the Swedish version is that 1) Gothenburg is their home crowd, 2) the inceraction with the audience is out of this world and 3) it even sounds better in Swedish, and all of this you will lose if you use another version that that particular one. From Sweden I welcome you to the world of Sabaton, I see you've reacted to some more videos so these ones are suggestions of more..

Best way to learn war history of entire world - listening Sabaton!))) In original, on russian first words of chorus translating as: "Motherland never forget you!". Its always so touching!
From 1939 to part of 1940 The USSR [ The Soviet Union] had a non aggression pact signed with Nazi Germany called the Ribbentrop pact. Both agreed to divide Poland in Half if the other were to invade it. Then late 1940, Hitler stabbed Stalin in the back by invading Russia. The thing that kept the Germans from taking the city was the stiff resistance that cost millions of lives and The Russian Winter. The only other person who attempted to invade Russia was Napoleon Bonaparte.
I'm gonna ask it.... How lost is she on general history lessons of war? "I'm focused more on the production value" I'm confused on how the video was so fun? She cleary wasn't paying attention.

Watch to the end to see the ACTUAL INTERVIEW between the two men 46 years later. 2) "Night Witches" - the one by YarnHub - a true story about Russian WWII female pilots who overcame sexism and indifference to carve their name into the book of history.
