    This is actually a cover. The original is made by the russian Radio Tapok. He did a lot of Sabaton covers. So Sabaton did a cover of this. Ive seen Radio Tapok do a reaction video of this. Dont know what he said but he looked very happy and proud. :)

      Yep, he did bunch of Sabaton rewriting them into Russian(as well as many other bands - Powerwolf, Skillet, Disturbed and many many more).
      When Great War was coming out, he got to rewrite Attack of the Dead Men and release it day before the original was out as part of the album.
      Then he did Battle for Moscow, which Sabaton rewritten into English roughly half a year later.
      He also did "Heritage" album, which is full of original song and is very heavily Sabaton inspired. Battle for Moscow is part of it.

    Kudos! I think you are the only American I've seen to recognize Soviet anthem in the guitar solo!
    Gengis Khan was indeed the last one who succeeded in conquering Russia and he came from the East, not West.
    Generally, attacking Russia in winter is like the worst idea ever.
    As I understand Soviet Union's abysmal performance in the Winter War made Hitler overconfident thinking USSR was just a paper tiger.
    But. They did learn from their mistakes, and it's always a very different thing to defend your very own soil and capital than to invade a tiny neighbor who never did any harm.
    German logistics were overstretched while Soviets could just put troops to train to Moscow and walk to the Western part of the city.

      Aleksandar Dugin (Russian philosopher, the founder of the Russian Neo-Eurasian geopolitics school of thought and an alleged Putin's advisor) says the Russians are "slow to saddle but fast to ride", and it seams to be the defining characteristics of all of their military campaigns, from Napoleon to Ukraine, and possibly everything else they do. They always start shamefully unprepared, always get surprised by what would be obvious to every idiot, and always take ages to get their balls together and gain sufficient momentum. But once they do, they are literally unstoppable. If I was a NATO advisor by any (unlucky) chance, I would be concerned about the history repeating - the Russians till now really did not show much in Ukraine, many have quickly written them off as incompetent, corrupt, and all-out "paper bear", but they did not collapse as predicted, and there are signs that they are gaining momentum in the background (like the several-fold military production increase).

    this is a literal translation from the Russian language. For forty-first year, the enemy drove us going around. The Great Reich sent all its might into battle!. Marching to hell, the Wehrmacht marched by millions of soldiers to fight near Moscow. and Marshal Zhukov, he took the front in his hands, raised the shelves and said, Sons!!!!, the Motherland will never forget you!. Moscow cannot retreat behind us!.and they stood to their deaths under the volleys of guns. and keep it in our hearts forever.Borodino again, the death of your sons again, but the beast cast a ferocious glance to the East. The forces are not equal, trains from all over the country are ready to march. from Kazakhstan to Magadan, regiments are going to their deaths, Sons bravely go into battle!. The motherland will never forget you.Moscow cannot retreat behind us. and they stood to their deaths under the volleys of guns. and keeping the memory in our hearts for centuries.

    This is definitely what we want to see.
    As far as what I know the soviets did in ww2 is they did a lot. They invaded Finland in what was planned to be a quick victory against a small rural country with little industry and got stopped almost immediately by small well organized guerrilla units. They got their butts handed to them but overall won because they did manage to wear down Finland because their numbers won in the end. This led to the belief among most German generals that they were not well organized enough to take on a major power like them and so invaded as soon as they were prepared. One thing to note however that Stalin had just done his Great Purge of more than 2/3 of the command structure of his entire military where he either had them executed for treason or sent to a gulag. It took several years to recover but by the end of 1942 they had mostly recovered and combined with the moving of most of their industrial base to beyond the Urals they could actually supply their armies. The secondary fronts of North Africa, italy and finally France eventually split their forces too thin to stop any of their 4 major enemies. Add Italy capitulating and japans unwillingness to help means it was inevitable Germany could have won. Could they have lasted another year if they changed one maybe two things? I think so but in nowway could they win or even sue for a ceasefire.
    Anyone who thinks I’m wrong just watch Potential History’s ‘Germany could not win ww2’ series. It’s pretty obvious a single country could take on 3 superpowers and several supporting nations like Canada, india, Australia, New Zealand, free France, etc with any hope of winning

  • @JariJuslin
    @JariJuslin Год назад +1

    This is also a nice pick in the sense that most of the time the Western front, D-Day and all that, gets all the attention on beating Nazis.
    Meanwhile the Eastern front saw bigger battles and higher loss of life. Soviet Union and present Russian government might suck, but they *did* play a big role in putting Hitler down.

    • @aleksandarrudic3694
      @aleksandarrudic3694 8 месяцев назад

      Regarding the role of the Western Allies in the Third Reich defeat, I think that the strategic bombing campaign and the Land Lease program, and possibly the war in Pacific, are each more important for the victory in Europe than the D-Day landing. Each of them was vital for the USSR to survive and regroup for the counterattack. D-Day came very late, after Hitler's forces were in full retreat for a year and a half - after the defeat at Stalingrad (late 1942), the Wehrmacht did not conduct any offensive campaign, and after Kursk, any large offensive battle. In the June 1944, the Operation Bagration is in full power and the Soviets are already inside the pre-war German territory, so at that point there is really no God's miracle that can save Hitler. D-Day is almost like a coup de grace.
