I wish I had a social media presence where I could share these videos, and somebody would actually watch, but I sure appreciate Paul passing on the hard earned knowledge. 👍

It is just lovely that you had insurance for your boats but if you ever go foreign even Lloyd's won't insure a single hander. I never needed to show insurance in over twelve years, but then I anchored out ninety percent of the time. But when I did go into a marina, west coast, they never asked for insurance.

Like hearing insurance stories which is why I got into doing yacht insurance a year ago. Plan is to continue this line of work as we move aboard.

I'll likely be in the position of needing a captain on board, so my question is: for how long? At what point would the insurance company be ok with me going out without the captain?

Every situation is different all depends, But I would say it took me about 200 hours of the Loop to get very comfortable with mine

Paul....what kind of liability insurance do most marinas require($100,000, $1,000,000, or more???)

We have 300K and have had no problems, but 500K seems to be where some of the marinas require
