Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory closing credits (with Paramount logo restored)

- This is a sequel to my Willy Wonka opening restoration. Now, for the opening, I may have actually zoomed into the credits too much, as they were recorded with Bandicam. The Paramount logo had a watermark (if you look closely) as it was captured from KissCartoon. I think I managed to fix this issue.
"Don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted..."
"What happened?..."
"He lived happily ever after..."

At least Charlie is still running the factory
Very sad
So shines a good deed in a weary world
John Moor90 0:04-0:09 I’ve always liked him as Willy Wonka in this movie.
No matter what, Gene Wilder; we’ll miss you and your amazing acting. But you always be in your movies no matter what we watch.
I love that Peter and Gene were friends in real life. It makes that hug even more wholesome.
Michael Bollner who played Augustus Gloop said that he never got to speak to Gene Wilder during filming.
@@georgecampbell9638 That's right.

Were they really? They were 24 years apart in age.
Beautiful song. It always makes me so mad at the station that cuts off the song just to show commercials.
IKR?
Hey. You mean the ABC Family?
No. I mean like what AMC did when they recently showed this movie. They cut off the movie just at that point when the song/credits starts to show what's coming up next. Really annoying.
Awwww, that's too bad. You'll see the ending credits on Blu-ray version. That Warner Bros. plastered the Paramount logo for Willy Wonka on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray.
Awesome. Thanks
A whole year since we lost Mr. Wonka. I just saw the movie tonight and I cried at the end, as I always do now. :'(
I loved Gene, too.
Last year I saw he died because someone posted it online and I cried my eyes out. I still do a bit when I see Willy Wonka and Young Frankenstein.
@@Emilykrabappel I'm Sorry, Emily!😟
KJ The Hedgecat its alright
Death is a part of life. I don't get too sad, because at least we got to experience Gene Wilder's great performance
In loving memory of Gene Wilder (1933-2016) and for Denise Nickerson (1957-2019).
And rip jack albertson

I think it's because Gene Wilder has passed on.

Im a real Star wars fan, but This is almost 50 Times better! One of the best movies ever. I sure miss Gene Wilder.......
I loved Willy Wonka and Star Wars as a kid. I still love Star Wars.
Same here. I now have a sour taste in the new Star Wars movies so I just watch classic films that were not a big success but still are perfect like this one

Such a perfect ending to such a beautiful movie...
Madeleine N To this day, this ending makes me cry my eyes out
this is not a perfect ending u idiot
+PrincesaLaura I agree with you, the ending looks like it's been left on a cliffhanger, that's one of the reasons why I don't like the original and prefer the remake....
why does it seem like a cliff hanger? what should have come next? or how should have it ended?
Its a dark ending. As soon as they went up to the clouds, he killed Charlie😈
Can’t believe how old this move actually is...it’s 47 this year...it’ll always remain a classic that will be shown for generations to come. 13 years in the Johnny Depp one still can’t scratch the magic of this film
EDIT: it turns 50 this year

Now only Peter Ostrum, Michael Bollner, Julie Dawn Cole, Paris Themmen and Peter Stuart are alive. Among uncredited cast also two Oompa Loompas: Rusty Goffe and Albert Wilkinson. Gloria Manon, Bob Roe, Madeline Stuart and Shin Hamano are also still alive. And the kids are now in their 60s. So all surviving cast members are now elderly.
Year later Malcolm Dixon passed away in April 2020
Tim Brooke Taylor passed away in July 17,1940 -April 12,2020

GREAT CLOSING CREDITS R.I.P GENE WILDER 1933- 2016 !!!!
I always tear up when they hug at 0:08, it's so heartwarming
I always thought it was so weird that they only have the cast included in the credits but not the crew
That was how many movies were before the 1980s. Some did not even have credits at the end, just a "The End" card with distributor information
This movie was so insanely ahead of it's time.
this scene always brings tears to my eyes
🥲

I know
@@watchforever1724 nor likely to again

My childhood just called me on the shoulder and floated away with them Jin the sky.
The original theatrical version of this film was released by Paramount, but all television, video, and theatrical re-issue versions of the film are distributed by Warner Bros. As a result, the current version in circulation opens with a Warner Bros. logo. This happened as a result of Quaker's and Paramount's reaction to the film's poor initial box-office returns; Quaker bowed out early, and Paramount let their distribution rights expire. Since Wolper Productions had been acquired by Warners by that time, the rights reverted to them.
Oh, yeah! I saw this description of alternate versions on IMDB website!
Well I still have the dvd and I remember looking at the warner bros intro at the start of the movie this probably means both warner bros and paramount made this
"Don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got what he always wanted, He lived happily ever after " Best part of my favorite movie, But I do vercua really good :>
Just a beautiful classic. Peace
✌️
I like to see that happy face when he give the factory to Charlie but the four bad children have leave the factory 🏭.
The 2005 version is more aesthetically pleasing but this version is more musically pleasing
0:14 Narrator: And that was the marvelous Willy Wonka. As for the four naughty children who left the factory, let’s just say they began new lives for themselves, and new interests. But remember what the Oompa Loompas have sung about greed, manners, being spoiled, and obsession.
I saw this as a kid allot times and always wondered what happened to the kids
Starr F8 same thing i wondered too I thought they were going to outer space
They died
wonka died and the kids grew up with out being recognized besides at conventions

Starr F8 Help. Police. Murder.
Is that sweet a father and the son and the love they share.

Next year it would be the 50th Anniversary of Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory.
I hope I remember celebrating the 50th Anniversary are you?
50th Anniversary happens in 2021.
I wonder if they have it on 4K in 2021.
And it happened today. I watched it too to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
Funny enough they did
Rest In Peace
Gene Wilder (June 11, 1933 - August 29th, 2016)
Denise Nickerson (April 1, 1957 - July 10th, 2019)
I looked up some people and two people who played in the movie died in 2020 . Tim Brooke Taylor (July 17,1940-April 12,2020) and Malcolm dixon April 20,2020
Even a closing credits jingle by Oompa Loompas is better than most music today

A good ending
He lived happily ever after
🙂
This gives me so much nostalgia
They need to do a reboot of this Movie with the older actors and another generation of the Willy Wonka Kids. But since Denise Nickerson passed ,they could use a hologram picture of her so she can be in the actual movie it would honestly be a great reboot. Happy 50 Years to this wonderful classic!
Technically they made a "reboot" with Johnny Depp in 2005 but apparently there's going to be a prequel just called Wonka I think

This song was played on Danielle 's funeral. Beautiful song
She will never be forgotten
Willy Wonka: anything you want to do, do it
Also Willy Wonka: DON'T DRINK OUT OF THAT RIVER
When I was a kid, I used to imagine Veruca demanding the producers to put her before the other three children in the casting credits
I always pictured the oompa loopmas singing this ending song.
Don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted...
He took ownership of the factory, then got sued by the parents.
For the film's 60th anniversary, Warner Bros should do a scan of the original film negatives.
The 50th anniversary release still retains this same 1968 Paramount logo, along with the 2021 WB logo as well. That is in the Blu-Ray, 4K and digital releases.
Happily ever after. That’s essentially how this film ended for Charlie, but the real life stuff behind the scenes wasn’t all the same pleasant: Mr Roald Dahl disowned this film, Charlie’s actor Peter Ostrum stepped down from acting just as a promising career was about to take off, and Grandpa Joe’s actor Jack Albertson passed away a decade later. Now we of course have lost Gene Wilder and Violet’s actress Denise Nickerson.
This ending made my cry idek how many times ;), such a great movie :D

*Interesting fact:* the actress who played Violet was actually considered for the role of Regan MacNeil in *The Exorcist* and she also auditioned for it, but her parents forbade her from accepting the role because they read the script and didn't like it.
Wow, didn’t know that fact. Why didn’t Paramount continue to have the rights for Willy Wonka?
2005 will have my heart, but 1971 will have my soul
Its beatiful song its making me cry 👍😭❤️❤️
They couldn't of added the Warner Brothers Television Logo after the plastered paramount logo.
Lol
I think that Mr Willy Wonka is still alive on the island of sodor where Thomas and his friends live and work. 🍋🍇🍌🍊🍎🍒🍓🍍🍭🍫🙂🏭🍋
The Moral of the Story is Bad Guys Finish last But God knew That Charlie Needed help so that’s why he found the last ticket
Despite all of the kids becoming losers they must’ve had a special talents Gloop would’ve been a taste tester and butcher like his dad Salt Would’ve been the production and sales manager who would fire people’s asses Beauguard would’ve been a lawyer like her dad and Teevee would’ve been a security guard watching the video cameras with a Colt 45 and Charlie would also have the ingredients for the wart remover from turkintine
PS: AT THE RISK OF SOUNDING REPETITIOUS, MAY I EXTEND MY FINAL NOTE OF (RIP) TO THE LATE DENISE NICKERSON WHO PLAYED VIOLET IN THIS 1971 CHILDREN'D FILM CLASSIC & OF COURSE, SHE ALSO PLAYED AMY JENNINGS & NORA JENNINGS ON DARK SHADOWS FROM 1968-1970. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORIES, YOU ARE ALL ADULTS NOW FOR A LONGTIME, AT LEAST THOSE WHO ARE STILL W/US, & YOUR PAST GREAT FILM WORK IS PRESERVED FOREVER ON DVD/BLU-RAY. AGAIN, THANKS FOR THE GREAT CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. IT'S A GREAT THING BY THE WAY, THE ONLINE DOCUMENTARY; "AFTER THEY WERE FAMOUS-WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY," WAS FILMED IN 2003 WHILE MS. The entire movie credits in under 60 seconds. Wow.......
That's how it was with movies in general back then, they only ended with a recap of the cast members, The main credits are at the beginning of the movie.
It wasn't until about 1978 and SUPERMAN that. movies started to have significant ending credits. These days some movie credits are 12 minutes long!
I love this song sm 😭😭😭
These have to be the shortest credits I’ve ever seen in a movie
Film has opening credits though.

This is in my top 2 favorite films of all time! Nothing will change my mind
If I may ask, what’s the other one?
ive cried at the very same time in this movie ever since i first saw it 50 years ago at the following lines: "So, did you enjoy your visit to the factory charlie?" "Oh yes mr. wonka it was magnificent!" " "I'm very glad you feel that way Charlie, because im giving it to you" Right there, tears every single time ive seen it.
Did you know that in the beginning it appeared with the Paramount logo?
Someone should make the end version of pure imagination for 10 hours like srsly do it!
