In the 80s this movie would come on and I'd lay in the den and fall asleep. Magical film when.I was little. Today's movie are too political and forced.

have you seen the new Wonka movie? I think it captures a lot of the magic of this classic, it is not a remake but depicts wonka when he's starting out.
If you read the book those children never died, they left the factory in the conditions for what happened to them, alive and well. Learned lessons to themselves, Mr. Wonka, as he said earlier. It's just never shown in this movie, it does show in the 2005 Tim Burton movie, that was more by the book.
A beautiful ending to a beautiful film. This film was a piece of treasure and so was Gene Wilder and Jack Albertson. RIP you legends and beautiful souls.
They showed this movie in my Elementary School when I was in the 2nd grade back in the 70s. It was amazing then and still amazing all these years later.
I can't help but detect some Ayn Rand in Wonka, a creator who follows only his vision and no one else's. Ironic, considering Dahl didn't like the movie.
@chaotixgamer9328 That's true and I'm sure if Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe died in the fan from the Fizzy Lifting Drinks scene, Mike Teavee would have won the prize where maybe the television room scene would not have been on the tour. While Augustus, Violet, Veruca, and Mike left the factory (maybe an Oompa Loompa took them to the exit), Mr. Wonka did say that when they exit, they will magically return back to their normal own selves but on "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory", they didn't look like their normal selves.
@@afriendofbean The only two who were different were Violet and Mike. Violet said she was much more flexible but she was still blue. Plus Mike was tall and skinny Augustus was probably just covered in chocolate and Veruca and her father were just covered in trash and were grubby.
@@AllyBee-vi5gv Yes, it was probably permanent for Violet and Mike where for Violet, she was permanently stuck being blue forever and when she showed her mom how flexible she was (the machine that squeezed the juice out of her must have made her more flexible) her mom said "yes but your blue" as a way of saying that she's stuck being blue forever. Augustus probably turned into chocolate candy because he was eating his fingers since his mom said to him, "Augustus don't eat your fingers" where he said, "but they taste so good" (if it showed him licking his hands, that would show he was just covered in chocolate). But yes for Veruca and her father, they were just covered in trash since Veruca was thrown down the trash by squirrels and a squirrel knocked her father down the trash which wasn't stuck on them since her father told her that she's going to get a bath.
Gene Wilder will always & forever be missed (RIP)! One of the greatest movies of all times, although I do remember watching the boat scene as a kid & it did freaked me out a bit😅. But other than that, I did enjoy seeing the rest of the movie! I especially love the ending of it!! Such a good scene right there!! We love you Gene Wilder!!❤️
The Wonka-vator isn’t the only elevator that can go up down, sideways, backwards or forward Take the elevators in Disney’s tower of terror or guardians ride
This scene is very interesting even though The Great Glass Elevator is very different compared to the drawing that we remember seeing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Quentin Blake which was made in the '60s, of course. Did you know that there's a book sequel called, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator? It was written and illustrated in the '80s if my memory serves me correctly, LOL.
1971 version is not the greatest in technology due to its time concern and has bit of weird stuffs like the shamanic boat ride and stuff lk that, but the impact of the film itself much outweighs 2005 version. 2005 version is advanced technology but i still feel that Depp is not a perfect Wonka.

I’ll check it out. I like Johnny Dep, but I hated his weird interpretation. He seemed like a pedophile to me
Much in the way theyre shot, as well. Film vs. Digital is night and day, not to delve into the minutia of different cameras and FPS.
The Best WONKA of all time......PERIOD

RIP Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson and Mel Stuart
That d been funny if he said the factory sucked lol.
The ending always brings a tear to the eyes, what a beautiful movie.
When he says "Bring the whole family...". Instant tears
@@tmonieright!!! Such a fantastic movie.
The lesson is don’t be greedy.
And don’t be spoilt; have good manners and love reading more than watching television.
And be real when you do wrong.
One of my fave movies as a kid & still is as an adult.

So if you are faithful, repent when you make a mistake, stay humble and teachable, treat others with kindness you can inherit everything?

“HOW DO WE GET DOOOOOWWWWWWNNNNNNNN?!” -Grandpa Joe, probably
Lol
I could see Prince being the black version of Willie Wonka…that mysterious personality.
the new Wonka movie was actually surprisingly good, if you're a fan of this great classic I think you will enjoy Wonka.
I think that Willy Wonka was not smart, since he wanted a child instead of a grown up to run his factory. 2:12
I recommend any parent to let their kids watch this movie.
Nice.
Very nice
Terrific ending 👏
Charlie Bucket is not for sale…integrity ❤️✌️
Brilliant
Rip who passed away from this movie
@@dawnagordon2333 half of the cast passed away
It is his unselfish attitude wasn't rich and appreciated what he had more than the other kids
Superb movie😊😊😊
I always thought his teacher was Mr. Turpentine. Now I see it is Turkentine. LOL
this is why the 1971 movie is superior to all other ones.
Willy wonka 💛💛💛💛💛💛😍😍😍😍
Suddenly Tardis appears on sky and crushes into Wonka.
“We’ll be cut to ribbons!”
“Probably.”

I own a chocolate factory.... Really... It's pretty sweet! 😊

Excuse My Texting Fucking Memories 😥
No that s not a creepy moment where he hugs Charlie.
You are whats wrong with the world, its called a perverted mind and requires psychiatric assentment and relevant medication. Get well soon!

Gene Wilder did not win Oscar for his performance.
Charlie gets the chocolate factory no.☹️😢
Where did the last button in the Wonkavater take them to
@@austinadler6279 idk they probably landed on Charlies house like in the book and 2005 film

Of course, what the movie doesn't show you is that they go rocketing off into space after this and have a very hard time getting home.
We're all so very glad you were there to witness that fact.
@@steadyeddie7 It's in the next book in the series. Smartass. Some of us actually read the books too.
