Brushwood Frilford Heath was built for the head of the Dragon School Oxford.

And was formerly used as a location for the Dragon School offering refuge outside of the North Oxford school location. Having a tennis court, space for cricket, and ball sports, and a Woodland, all set within its own 2 acres. But now having been sold and used as a Luxury residential home. The owners have enjoyed living here and having so much space, and flexibility that the house afforded them! bringing up their family here!! now we have sold the property to a family who will definitely benefit from the property for many years to come.

Very beautiful on the outside, but the flow of the interior is off , and it's very dark

Thank you for taking time to view and comment Laura, I would suggest that this property is far from dark inside in fact it has Living room, study,family room all facing due south, and the more modern part of the property has multiple roof lights and double doors and fixed full height windows to gain max light.
I also think that a property built in 1920 naturally has an appropriate designs & features which are based on the materials and priorities at that time of construction, saving energy by having smaller window openings, and practical issues, the 12 inch solid stone walls offer a very constant temperature cool in summer and retained heat in winter,.
More modern 1960's properties started to have bigger windows and as a child that is the home I lived in, built by my father, which was fantastic in terms of its light but poor at retaining heat.
luckily we now have triple glazing, and modern anti reflective solar glass and can use massive glass features and not compromise heat loss.
