yep it pissed me off too, just because the tip is compatable doesnt mean the voltage is. i came here expecting a suggestion for a universal charger and not whatever this is

Ive seen the connector that looks similar to an Aux jack. Very old laptop. Actually pretty smart solution for the charger issue.

What about id pin? Universal charger has +voltage on the middle pin, in dell laptops the middle pin is id pin, i don't know if there is any protection, but for sure universal charger will not charge the battery, how it looks in other laptops?
I ordered that today. It has a huge array of tips. I have about 20 chargers at home so needed a solution to cut that amount down.

I havent really found anything that was useful other than a manual voltage selector 90w. Been looking for a while to no results
I am searching for a laptop charger with the minimum following specifications: Power 135W. Output voltage 19.5V. Output power 6.92A. Power in 100 - 240 V. Plug/pin/connector should be 4.5 x 3.0mm. Fine if there are multiple tips as I have different devices. For instance I already have the Trust 19138 primo universal but only has 90W. The Trust 90W doesnt work on my laptop.
Is the adapter having voltage changing? Like some laptops need 5v, 12, 19v

Is this charger enough to charge all lap tops no matter the voltage?
Voltage is controlled by the charger and not the tip. You can use the tips for 5v output for example if you connect to a 5v charger. Connect to a 19v charger and they will supply 19v. Connect to 24v charger an they will supply 24v. So they work not only for laptops, but on any device assuming you are using the proper voltage.
Could you tell us the charger model you're using (for laptops) with the tips. Just received the tips but the two chargers I have at home wont fit the tips. Thanks again for shearing your knowledge with us.

Yes you can use 65w on 45w as long as the voltage matches. Higher amp charger is ok. Laptop will only use amps needed. watts=voltage x amps.

Tips has nothing to do with power, it's the charger. Most laptops fall between 2-5amps. a 90w charger will be sufficient for all laptops.
