I was given too much radiation as an infant while undergoing radiotherapy -- they put me in a recovery room with an irradiated old lady by mistake. I ended up with mild radiation sickness but (un)fortunately I wasn't bitten by a spider. As this was in the late 60s and I'm still here it looks like I've survived Mr. Newton-Taylor's 20 year prognosis!
