The "Jump Attack Cancel" is actually called "L-Cancel". Also I find it easier to first switch to the ascend rune and then to spam A.

I think that there was a version of it in BotW, but that got patched. A new version was discovered for TotK and it was found really early on, but I’m not sure when.
