Kye Smith holy crap I didn’t know you were in the vid. I saw the skateboards in the background of your shot and I knew it looks familiar. Good job man!
@@jetstreamer3 I'm with you man. I didn't know I liked their music until these quarantine videos started making the rounds. Really looking forward to the next, for sure
Said it before, but we really need that quarantine concert. The energy and passion they have for their music would make it worth whatever they would charge.
Well this song definitely sounds better than the original because "The Knife" was like... insanely overproduced. And missing all of the actual members of Goldfinger except John. At least Charlie is back now, but I still miss Darrin terribly.
@@DudeLongcouch I loved all the punk style songs. It seems they did punk song, then ska/pop sounding songs for the next, then punk song again, then ska/pop song for the entire album which is cool but I loved all the pop punk songs tracks 1,3,5,7,9 tracks. The mix to me were amazing for those songs but the other songs he kinda experimented with are def produced like hell hence why they kinda sound like a pop song at times for those even number tracks
These Goldfinger videos really make me wish i: played an instrument, was in a band, was talented, was a good editor, could sing. Since none of those apply....THANKS DUDES!
Can we all just agree that as soon as this Corona stuff is gone, Goldfinger should tour with this lineup. Charlie’s back shredding on guitar. Phil and Mike kill it on their instruments and backup vocals. And now with Kye on drums??? This would be an incredible lineup to see live!
Only two doggos? Is this even a Goldfinger video? (Seriously, it's fantastic, and I agree with everyone talking about the need for an eventual album compilation of all of these performances. Although part of my joy here is watching the band having so much fun.)
Fuck I love this band. I remember meeting Charlie before there set at the trip in philly, prolly like 97-98. What a great show. I think showoff and homegrown opened. Man those were good years!!!!
I have it as well! you could buy it like 1 year ago in Vannen's shop or something like that online with a chance to get it signed randomly by the band!!, and it's signed as well but only by Joey and flip, I need to get the rest :(
Can't say how f*** awsome it was to see these videos last year when everything was going to S***. Coming from a 90's skate delinquent to you guys, a million thanks.
I was getting some joy out of re-watching these quarantine videos and overheard my 12yr old and 7yr old daughters singing along with this one! I must be doing something right in raising them! Haha
The BABYMETAL tshirt on the guitarist got a smile out of me, always interesting to see what the bands I listen to, listen to. Absolutely loving the energy Goldfinger is pumping out in 2021!
I can stop watching these quarantine videos, you guys are so tight and everybody is giving it a 1000% . The sound and patches you guys used were soo good.We need another punk scar revival. This is such a breath of fresh air to all the mainstream stuff today.
Man, another one where the mix is just plain better on this video than the album, because they sound like a band instead of just Feldy. Keep these coming guys. So good.
I totally under rated these guys back in the 90s. Saw them at HFStival at RFK in '96. I feel like I'm catching back up with them during the quarantine.
Had a bad interaction with Mike (bass) when he was in MxPx. This rules though! I've loved Goldfinger forever and this incarnation is badass! Glad Mike is here!
I started listening to Goldfinger in the late 90's in High school. They were one of my favorites. Was obsessed with the their Self-titled album and Hang-Ups. Honestly (and sadly), I hadn't given them much thought in the last 20 years. Then boom, they came out with "The Knife" with a mostly new line-up (Holy Balls, Mike Herrera???) and now they're one of my favorite bands again. The Knife is now my favorite Goldfinger album and these Quarantine videos are GOLD. Keep 'em Coming, John!!!
Ironically I was listening to Goldfinger months ago assuming they were not even around anymore. Then a week later they came out with Here In Your Bedroom Q version and have been on point during the Q. These have all been great.
Thanks so much for having me on board guys, it was an absolute blast!
Dude you go hard! Respect!
You killed that man!!!
Kye Smith holy crap I didn’t know you were in the vid. I saw the skateboards in the background of your shot and I knew it looks familiar. Good job man!
You 🗡️🗡️SLAYED🗡️🗡️ it!
You are awesome! Definitely check his chronology videos. I am so glad to see you rocking with such amazing bands. Keep up!
Goldfinger gets a 10/10 for catering to their fans during quarantine.
These videos have made me a fan!
Or just play Miles Away which is one of their own songs. Lol
@@jetstreamer3 I'm with you man. I didn't know I liked their music until these quarantine videos started making the rounds. Really looking forward to the next, for sure
11/10
@@jetstreamer3 me too! just downloaded a bunch of songs. lol
Never thought Goldfinger would be a major key to keep the boredom away in 2020, but here we are.
Thanks to autotune hhah
@@verarendering9316 they don't even really use autotune though
Don't question it, just enjoy my brother
@Nathan jlj There is apparent pitch correction and other studio manipulation on the vocals! So yes, they do on these
Said it before, but we really need that quarantine concert. The energy and passion they have for their music would make it worth whatever they would charge.
Pulling that off would be damn near impossible
@@BeersAndBeatsPDX not necessarily meaning 100% live. Not even remotely possible. Pre-recorded, synched up and streamed. That would be what we need.
@@JustAGuyWithALongScreenName That would be sweet
Man I love Kye Smith he’s such a beast
MIKE HERRERA THOUGH
You guys have to make an album of quarantine songs.
Seriously, these versions sound better than the original ones.
Well this song definitely sounds better than the original because "The Knife" was like... insanely overproduced. And missing all of the actual members of Goldfinger except John. At least Charlie is back now, but I still miss Darrin terribly.
I'll buy it, just waiting then to put the link of it.
Yes!

I love how he always walks over to the dog laying on the couch and shows em some love.
That's my favorite part of all these videos
THANOS DIESEL such a good boi
This makes me want to go skating. They are so passionate and the energy is high.
These Goldfinger videos really make me wish i: played an instrument, was in a band, was talented, was a good editor, could sing.

it's never too late to start playing an instrument!
You just need autotune!
Never too late to start. I play for 21 years, still suck but never gave up! :D
@@jamesd3874 FUCK autotune, NO!
just PRACTICE
Love the Lagwagon “Let’s Talk About Feelings” skate deck behind the drummer 🎸 Another kick ass tune boys... thanks 🙏
Subscribe to Kye Smith's channel. He's legit. Also look up Local Resident Failure, his old band. Dude can play some drums alright.... #doubletap
Will do dude thanks!
Please do more with Kye Smith! He’s such a great drummer and gives an amazing feel in his drumming.
his kit sounds spectacular too

This song is so great. Kye Smith is a phenomenal drummer!
This little Aussie guy is playing with one of the biggest bands in the world. Kye has definitely won life

All other artists take note, this is how you do it. Don't complain don't pity us just use your craft and create!
Kye is awesome! His videos are what finally convinced me to get a drum set like 5 years ago. Keep the videos coming!
I’ve never appreciated a band this much since my first Misfits show last year.
Curious how we all feel these songs all these years later. Fucking saving grace, these videos right now.
Nice to see my boy Kye getting some love!
Love the BABYMETAL shirt! :D
Wooow, congrats kye Smith!!!! One of My favourite drummers!! Saludos desde Argentina

Love that Goldfinger is doing this, feel like a kid again. Can we maybe get "Mable"
Still one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and that was over two decades ago.
