The Goldfinger quarantine stuff was the best thing to come out of the quarantine.
It was perfect. The world needed these quarantine releases and they delivered.
A LOT of good music came out of quarantine era.
Post Malone doing an entire Nirvana set and Miley Cyrus covering Cranberries at the Whisky are just two that come immediately to mind.
Somehow, Goldfinger still being Goldfinger even in the midst of all this, really does make me feel a little better.

Seeing how much the singer has aged while going back to the original video makes me feel my Eviel Knievel-like childhood(at least the daredevil nature and injuries)and teens more. How the heck does Mike Herrera from MxPx, playing bass guitar on this video, look like he hasn't aged? Some just seem frozen in time.

I still love this song. I saw this song played LIVE and acoustic with about 30 other fans back in 1999. The original concert was canceled after the second song due to a fire alarm being pulled. However, about 30 of us waited outside their van for hours and finally our wait paid off. The band came out and they played Here in your bedroom and Mable for us. Fully live and fully unplugged. It was the first time they ever played acoustic for anyone they told us. The crowd sung these two songs louder than John could. And, since I was sitting close enough right beside John, dude was yelling and spitting all over us. Hilarious and awesome. 👍👍👍

Same. I did have a feeling I would always like this music and that it would stay with me through the years (and it has). What I didn't expect was the intense burden from the feeling of aging, which he also warned me about. These songs take me back to another world almost at this point.
Goldfinger without a doubt wins band of the quarantine. They 100% did it right and did not disappoint.
Was not expecting a solid 20 seconds of body chills the first time chorus hit. That really brings back some good memories.

Man I used to fall down so many times in skate parks when I was younger. Always wore plenty protection so besides a few bruises and scratches it was always fine.
Nowadays my Skateboard collects dust and whenever I subconciously take a position in bed that my body does not agree with I have aching muscles. Growing up sucks.

Probably couldn’t have told you who performed it (though I know Goldfinger and have some good stories of a festival concert where I saw them). I got back into skating a couple years ago. I work a couple blocks from a nice skate park on the beach here in Cali. Had a ton of fun. Then one day I fell really hard on my elbows. Stood up and decided I don't need that kinda thing in my life. lol. And I definitely can't be breaking my hands or arms or legs or whatever. But man it was a lot of fun, and I totally encourage people to skate if it makes them happy. It's a killer workout too

That is absolutely not a natural sound. It's not the autotune either. There's obviously a crappy autotune but there's a lot of post process on his voice that does really sound nice though!

What I really like about these quarantine videos is seeing all the different band members and how different all there playing/recoding space is so different and unique to each person. something that you rarely get to see when listing to any band.

These guys never needed it before, I guess since John h been as a slick studio producer for some time he is so used to the Pro Tools and is gun shy of an exposed voice anymore - still loved all of this though!
