It seems very clear he thinks it is a bluff on the river, and that he protection-raised the flop and turn and then realized that his protection raises didn’t work at all and his hand is now bad. He check-raised on the flop for protection and value, and the did the same on the turn, but then when the river comes a diamond, he felt that his hand might no longer be good there was more money to be made to get Xuan to fold anything worse than a T than there was trying to win at showdown. It is an extremely incoherent line and I don’t blame Xuan for folding given that it could very well have been possible that Tesla would do silly things like min-click the flop with a T.
No analysis on river fold JT? It’s the most interesting point of the hand! Imo it’s a sigh call knowing Tesla is a nut, price is great, QQ is usually a 4-bet, and you cant be worried about quads. Lastly A of diamond blocks nut flushes he maybe shoves river with. I think Tesla is check raising for value both streets, unwisely so.
Yeah, I’ve watched him enough at this point that I just don’t know how you could ever fold to Tesla. Which is great, cuz it’ll get him paid when he does have it, but that’s such a weird way to play a six or a ten. I think you’re right, definitely feels like a sigh call.
Online quick bets usually mean strength. Don't know if that holds in live play. My gut is people may be more inclined to "act" live so showing strength may be more likely a sign of weakness.
Live, the fast jam is always a bluff. It's such a common tell that I quick jam my nuts and slow walk a jam if I am bluffing. I get called more than I should when I have value doing that.
@@jasonfullerton7763 exactly. There are some exceptions like Nik air ball but there are te exception to the rule. that’s why pros don’t quick act really ever when playing other pros
Jonathan Little I just got your book Mastering Small Stakes No Limit Hold'Em and I'm finding it very useful already in micro tournaments on Coin Poker. While I'm on paternity leave I'm going to do my best to transition to playing poker for a living. Going to be putting in the hours at cash games soon. Just have to find a game I can beat, play it a lot and keep a proper bankroll
I think it's a bluff raise on the turn. Tesla knows it's a better card for his range and he perhaps thinks Xuan is a little tight and he may get her off a draw . Also his turn raise sets up a more realistic 2 street bluff if he goes allin on any river or check raises on the river too knowing he has some sd value if Xuan checks behind
It’s not a bluff raise insomuch as a protection raise. People always seem to forget that you want villains to *call* your raises with draws because that is often how you get value.
@@timothynguyen4446 he is raising because he has top pair. Thats it. This guy has absolutely no clue, plays every hand and for him top pair is the nuts.
If I was xuan, seeing the 10 on the turn, gave me more confidence about my hand. If he’s holding Q,10 I’m dead on the flop and the turn won’t matter at this point, but seeing the turn, less likely he’s holding ,Q,10. My only concern, if he’s holding queens. It be really hard to have a 10x here. He could be representing queens here.
Check raising small on flop with 6 or 10 would be insane also so I really only see QQ and maybe some back door flushes like KJ of diamonds as hands she loses to very rarely. I live in Austin and have to deal with people overvaluing their hands all the time, just gotta call lighter to combat these fools.
She can be pretty sure she is behind and still call. She was getting more than 3:1...she can think he has it 75% of the time and it is still a profitable call. She was sure he had it.
The real question is what is she calling the river with if she's folding AA with a diamond here? Having Ah isn't great but still, how many better hands does Xuan actually have? QQ and a very low frequency of a T after the Td hits the turn which is a *great* card for her as played.
Tesla plays like maniacs do online? Top pair, 2 kicker? This is the NUTS! ALLLL IN! Lol. I was ever going to fold, that decision was made after the 2nd check-raise and the only river card that would change my mind would be a queen. You might run into quads 10's or 6's some times. Oh well, too bad so sad. Most of the time you should be fine.
even though we know this guy is nuts enough to have a 10 or a 6 on a check raise flop, it's still far too many busted draws (yes she blocks those), if we also can assume nutjobs overvalue hands and accidentally turn medium value into bluffs (we're watching it here in case that wasn't known, seriously doubt this guy doesn't routinely do similar) it's a call at these SPR's assuming hero gets to river in this manner.
wow, it's rare to see x.liu not come up on top of nearly every decision she's shown making. now i'm curious if she did any homework on these players and if this was early 1st time playing against this guy.
my guess is this hand happened prior to doug polk's recent x.liu hand where she also has aces in this same stream, in that one some other twit overvalues a top pair hand that gets either an extreme nit or likely somebody who's playing over his bankroll (and/or the cameras mess with his play) to fold nut flush as low SPR's, she calls off her aces and wins huge pot (some 4th guy had also shoved preflop with short stack and KK's).
It was so much money in the pot already, she should have just paid him off, him checking on the turn signifies he does not have the 3 10's or the diamond flush, only way he winning is 3 Q's full
dont slow play aces! she shoulda jammed early forced a fold and been happy with the easy decision win if she didnt want the tesla jam which we all know is always coming
Terrible fold no? Pocket Q 4bets from an aggro player and the only 10 or flush draw that got there that raises on flop is something with a backdoor draw like 10 J of diamonds, which is impossible as the 10 d reveals itself on turn. What has you beat on river is quad 6s that have a line that makes sense, but you always pay off quads, so be it. Much more likely he has KQs of diamonds. What’s extra fucked is that the king is not even suited. It’s easy Monday night QBing but the line just doesn’t make sense to me, calling river card for me in that spot with the aces
Yeah it's a tough spot not against Tesla you know she's seen him play before on TV Sam jam the river with nothing a lot how to snap his ass off but I'm a fish maybe that's why I haven't moved up from 2/5😂😂😂
what dose he even has for value QTs quads? It's not very many combo's and still alot of draws missed, he likes to blust of alot + pot ods... I'll call every time his line makes 0 sense
Do YOU think this was a bluff or a value bet by Tesla on the river? 🤔
bluff fo sho

Bluff. I think he pegged her perfectly with an overpair -- and knew she's a bit too conservative to stand on it vs a paired board jam.
It's a value bet, he's put her on a weaker pair than QQ.
Definitely a bluff.
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼

trivially easy call on river vs tesla, she is weak tight

I love these. Thank you Mr. Little.

Why is the 2k tournament on coin not showing up?
starting with the turn check raise he immediately looked different than prior, easy to say here, but screamed weak to me watching it.
Thats a jam on the turn after he reraised. I mean what card are u hoping for the river after so much youve put in the pot.
Is Tesla the "fish" type at the table? or why would they play this level

no. Tesla doesnt think. He is just barrelling whenever he can. He probably doesnt even know what the word "range" means.
@@corey192 You're right. Can't fold an overpair to Tesla. If he luckboxed into the winner, pay zat man hiz manny, reload and win it back :)

how Xuan didn't fold pre is beyond me.

Calling Tesla "loosey-goosey" is an understatement of galactic proportions. He is the type of guy to raise 72o from UTG
I dont call a check raise on the turn and fold the river unless it puts a clean front door flush, a 9, or a Q...and it's not auto fold.
3rd option : Punt.

100% value raise on the turn. He's not really thinking about what she has, only what he has. He has tp in a 3bp and thinks he has the best hand.
One thing I can say for Tesla...his play is confusing for a thinking player...

Why the fuck called the check raise in the turn just to fold the river???
Silly bluff raise I think
This is what happens when you play not to lose always.
Seams like a terrible fold vs this kind of player
900 is such a big open for KQo, splashy is right
Would she have had the option to ask him to run it twice?
I just call down with my descent /good hands vs maniacs. If they have it good for them. I never fold here.
It is tough when there are three ways she is beat - trip 10s, trip 6s and a flush. I get it.
for Tesla, THAT was a value raise.
