    Update: After a year I’ve found the 890 coils don’t handle the weight I carry well at all, I have a drawer system in the back and tow a small camping trailer occasionally. If I were to do this again I would go for the 891 coils. Currently looking at adding airbags or swapping the coils completely.

    • @WoodcockFamilyOverland
      @WoodcockFamilyOverland  3 года назад

      Yeah it’s a strange one that it didn’t, you guys have a lot more fab shops over there in the states for armour and tire carriers and after market accessories in general though. Since it’s an import here in the UK it’s sometimes hard to find things, the 4Runner seems to have a huge following in the states.

      Hey Richard, I ordered mine through maverick 4x4, Andrew over there sorted me out no problems I ordered the following and it’s all running great ,
      Old Man Emu 90004 OME Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber Strut
      Old Man Emu 60028 OME Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber
      Old Man Emu 2890 OME Coil Springs for the rear
      Old Man Emu 2881 OME Coil Springs for the front

    • @WoodcockFamilyOverland
      @WoodcockFamilyOverland  3 года назад

      Only thing I would say is depending on how much weight you have in the rear I would go for the heavy duty coils in the rear which would be the 2891’s as I’m sagging a little in the rear with the drawer system and when towing.

    So the 890 are the rear spring? And are you sure you got 3 inch lift on the back?

    • @WoodcockFamilyOverland
      @WoodcockFamilyOverland  2 года назад +2

      So after a year now I’m really disappointed with the 890’s they don’t hold weight well at all! I do some towing with a smallish camping trailer and the droop is so bad. I’m looking at adding airbags or even changing the coils. So yeah if I were to do it again don’t get the 890’s go for the 891.

    • @WoodcockFamilyOverland

      I also have a drawer system in there permanently. Which doesn’t help.
