The gears are beautiful but a headache if your not familiar with it especially the gear with a spring loaded tension in the center.... And the balance shaft is known to fail....

The pump you pointed out at the start is an air pump and the lines go up to your 4wd actuators the pump behind that is you power steering , the timing is adjusted by moving the injector pump behind the cover is a timing make and on the injector pump
If you put a snorkel on later keep the air box and snorkel connects to the intake that goes in through the front guard

Roughtrax here in the UK have loads for gen 3 hilux surfs and give you the part numbers for comparison too
That gen 3 has the pre heater on the fuel filter so you can run veg oil instead of diesel

This isn’t rusty lol. Here in Michigan (Northern US) that would be a “like new” condition.
Replacement bumper front and back plus a snorkel. Toyota all the way 💪I love my Hilux 1grfe
You gotta do a 4inch stainless steel snorkel mate and airbox. Plus crossover pipe
I might do the snorkel on the next set of upgrades

Add thermostat and viscous fan to your list, and clearing radiator of debris that’s the main reason these heads go to shit, lazy thermostat combined with a viscous fan clutch that doesn’t engage at temp, that overheats and cracks the head, don’t change injectors, if there are not broke don’t fix them, I’ve bought new replacements before and the truck ran like shit, use some injector cleaner
