I love how the title implies that this is a real fight that broke off on set between James Franco and Tobey Maguire, and Raimi liked it so much he kept it on the final film.
Fun fact, Franco did actually arrive on set on the glider to shoot the scene, Raimi loved his entrance so much that he filmed it and it became that battle sequence because Tobey was jealous. Truly a move of genius right there.

One of the most epic fights in all of the Spideman movies imo, mostly because it's Peter fighting without a suit. You can really see that he has the ability to beat the Goblin, someone who's throwing literally everything and yet still has the sense and powers to win. Not to mention, after everything, the way to beat Harry was just a string. Just laughable how good Peter is.
The Raimi trilogy really benefits from Spider-Man taking a ton of licks throughout the entirety of his battles. He literally gets his sh*t kicked in a ton in any of the given fight. It adds weight and makes the situations more viscerally brutal. Something modern MCU films really struggle to achieve overall.

He took the same serum, but potentially altered it to reduce/remove the side affects of insanity it afflicted on his father (never explained in the movie). Regardless, he's as strong as the Green Goblin minimum. On the flipside, Peter has also honed his skills as Spider-Man since his rookie year in which he fought GG. So he's definitely more naturally skilled (as this fight shows) and potentially stronger than he initially was.
I liked that No Way Home gave him some respect. Tom Holland Peter needed the iron spider to take on Tobey’s Doc Oc, Tobey took him on with just his powers.
These New Goblin versions of the Pumpkin-Razor Bats seem much worse. They're faster, smarter, and sharper than the buzz-saw types that Green Goblin had.
Oh totally. The Rami trilogy is my least favorite of the three movie continuities, but they've got easily the best action. It is all brutal as hell, especially that last Green Goblin fight. On top of excellently shot and choreographed action, I've noticed that characters react to pain in a way that they generally don't is most other superhero movies. It's much less flattering and more painfully realistic as they audibly scream or squeal when they get thrown around. I've never heard a superhero scream as much as Tobey's Spiderman
Can we just appreciate that Peter tried to help Harry after their battle? He surely has a forgiving heart way before the symbiote and his encounter with Marco.

Agreed but considering how compacted the movie was with multiple villains and storylines it just wasn't living up to expectations I think just focusing on Harry and Sandman while having the symbiote storyline could've worked way better then lead Spider-Man 3s ending to Spider-Man 4 with Venom being the big focus of that film

It appears Harry focused more on agility and CQC than firepower compared to his father. Norman's Green Goblin Glider was packed with more arsenals like machine guns and more missiles. Harry's Glider has more slim, snow board/surf board like form to move in tight space but other than couple missiles and flamethrower, it doesn't seem to possess more firepower compared to Norman's Glider. Also, Norman used pumpkin bomb more often but Harry tends to engage Peter in close quarters using super vibrating blades.
Besides a few moments of some janky body models, this fight is still better than 95% of the MCU fight scenes out there. Everything about the Raimi fight scenes always has so much more weight and brutality in the blows. It actually feels like people are taking damage and feeling the hits.
Yes and no for every cool bit there’s a clumsy moment where Tobey feels unusually clumsy and weak for Spider-Man. (He’s a jobber during his fight with venom for example) Spider-Man 2 probably had the best mix but even then it’s strange how normal human doc oc doesn’t seem to take much damage at all.
The CGI then is janky sure but also gritty, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, even Spider-Man himself CGIs were all dark, and I loved it
The only Spiderman who doesn't need a web-shooter or some fancy tech to show off. Just only his sheer strength is enough to take down a spoiled brat like Harry. Tobey is the best Spiderman and he always will be.
Tobey was great, but I do honestly think Garfield was a great Spiderman too. It was the writing that really didn't let Garfield shine, and I think No Way Home shows the Garfield movies had great potential if the writing had been better (Since Garfield was one of the best parts of the movie alongside those like Octavious and Osborn)

I was always wondering why spider sense haven't reacted to Harry's first attack from behind. Peter has already dodged similar threat in the second movie when he nearly was smashed by some car. But then I thought more carefully and realized that spider sense didn't identify Harry as an enemy or a danger. Because he was Peter's friend still. Maybe I dig too deep into it but it's interesting
His expression did go from smiling to confused right before he got attacked, but it's almost like it didn't work fully because it was Harry, so maybe you're right.
What i like about this version of goblin is where dafoes suit glider and rech is designed to flashy and boast showmanship while spreading fear to his victims harrys glider and tech are designed to kill peter and is much more tactical as his board is more tactical looking its constant smoke and can return to him when hes dicconected his goblin bombs which cut peters webbing and finally his stealthy suit show that while norman wanted to kill Spiderman and boast his power harry just wants to kill peter and has designed his suit glider and tech to do just that

I was always wondering why spider sense haven't reacted to Harry's first attack from behind. Peter has already dodged similar threat in the second movie when he nearly was smashed by some car. But then I thought more carefully and realized that spider sense didn't identify Harry as an enemy or a danger. Because he was Peter's friend still. Maybe I dig too deep into it but it's interesting

If you look at Peter's face on the scooter, his face looks just barely confused for a second before he gets attacked
His expression did go from smiling to confused right before he got attacked, but it's almost like it didn't work fully because it was Harry, so maybe you're right.

What i like about this version of goblin is where dafoes suit glider and rech is designed to flashy and boast showmanship while spreading fear to his victims harrys glider and tech are designed to kill peter and is much more tactical as his board is more tactical looking its constant smoke and can return to him when hes dicconected his goblin bombs which cut peters webbing and finally his stealthy suit show that while norman wanted to kill Spiderman and boast his power harry just wants to kill peter and has designed his suit glider and tech to do just that
