"I would have played much better, if I had known which two cards he had." -- Mike Matusow, poker genius
Mike - "I was 90% sure he had a set"
Also Mike - Just calls river
I don't know why I never thought about that, I will apply his advice each time i play from now on! I will also try to get the minimum on each nuts I have lol
I would win more if I didn’t lose in poker
it was not the nuts tho@@Almoslime
Kudos to Mike for finding the only line to let Luda get away.
hed have been better off shippingthe flop all in LMAO
Was thinking the same thing, how do you not get paid by Luda when you have set over set that’s mind blowing
This isn’t the internet kids this is live cash. But just seeing comments like this makes me happy that poker is on the up and up and still very lucrative.
Bravo for luda folding set there, this is why i hate flop 3 bet, its alwasy super strong and hard to balance
Here is how you balance it… do it with crazy draws (you have great equity but you’re probably behind,) and blockers (air,) once in a blue moon. That way you can actually 3 bet your sets and get paid. But yes, generally you call in modern poker and it’s just a matter of how many bigs you have and getting the money in by the river.
Matusow is stuck in 2003 in a lot of ways.
@@Peter-zg3emI bet Mike does, at least sometimes ,3 bet other stuff too. Probably not entirely balanced, so you can def lean towards the fold button
@@Peter-zg3emthis is only accurate if u play with the same players everday. A 3bet call Will Always look super strong among a new set of people
Folding a set of 2's is always an easy Fold.
@@iacosta79 depends on the guy. I don’t about now , but back in the day Mike definitely would have 8-6, 7-9, 4-5 there at some frequency too. I think in this spot Mike got caught up in the dynamics that him and Luda had . Now wether Mike waits for heavy value in those spots or decent draws to do something is the question
Matusow couldn't have played those hands worse. If you get the loosest player at the table to fold a set on a dry board you are doing something very wrong.
Well put
How else could you have played that set of 8's. He made a half pot bet and Ludacris made a great fold. I'm never folding that set of 2's for half a pot. Poker is easy when you can see the hole cards.
Yes very good fold, very hard to put someone on set 66 or 88 Here, I think Mike could've checked the turn then jam river imo then he get the call imo
He’s won the min. And the AJ fold to secure a profit because he has no idea what to do playing so deep.
yes, that was a go home winner fold
What a fold by Luda! Folds a set with no straight or flush on board!
Luda is a genius when the masseuse is telling what to do.
he is a genius? dude always bluffing lol, no wonder he got caught up, plus hes a bad person, laughing off his friend JBoog when he lost money , he laughing at him@@donmasacre4919
The only way he could sneak his poker coach in there.
Makes it easier to fold. Because it’s unlikely mike is raising with back door draws he has a made hand
Is this a How To video on never getting max value from your strong hands?
Yep Mike MINusow in action.
Dude ran 10k up to 100.
@@pokerace420 He missed out on some money though.
Refer to original comment
Facts my ass DR H raises 9-10 open ended he could of so easily stacked him
Mike's backer must have been sick watching this man child get blessed with setup after setup and watching him find a way to win the minimum every time
Hellmuth was sick when watching this I'm sure.
I disagree. Having Mike is lighting money on fire. He was probably just happy to book a win.
so unlikable
Matusow just never gets it... what a panicking mess.
Being a bad looser is ugly, but being a bad winner is just obnoxious.

Someone doesn't have a clue who Mike "The Mouth" Matusow is, I'll give you a hint he's a legend of poker!
@@RoCkShaDoWWaLkEr legend is a long shot
@@Chris-pr7qo U are clearly a casual/ amateur poker player, Mike is definitely right up there as one of the best, he may not have as many accolades as say Phil, but Mike is definitely one of the legends and OG’s of poker & very well respected 🎤💧
Just described the moth, not the mouth, to a tee! Bad winner (never tipped the dealer ONCE) and an incredibly POOR loser! He’s by far one of the worse humans on planet earth!
Very impressive by Luda. That is an insanely hard fold.
Mike is the ultimate $hit player lol
He ran up 10k to 100k that game, you'll never match that playing poker.
@@RoCkShaDoWWaLkErdude got smacked in the face with the deck like nobody I’ve ever seen. I mean 3 sets in a row…come on.
@@TheGilleniumAnd on the right side of TWO set-over-sets. Never seen that happen in one poker session before and I’ve been playing for over 40 years.
@@RoCkShaDoWWaLkErYeah … that all-in raise on the turn, in position, with top set on an ultra-dry board. The stuff of legends.
@@michaelg4664 seriously. I’ve played a lot for a long time as well and never seen someone run THAT hot.
Matusow tipping the players and not the dealer
The Moth is one of the worst humans on planet earth!
?? just means what you don't know, he did tip the dealer, when she was about to leave he called her and gave her like a 400 dollar tip
these games the dealers get pre tipped so its fine if no one tips them
Uh no. You have no clue what you're talking about@@khalidalshammari3566
Matusow didn't see that much money since the 90's
His strippers did though after he paid them.
Facing 2 options on the turn, all-in or fold. Fold was definitely the harder but correct option
Luda got a vibrating signal to fold
set over set
Watch his massage lady back up and get a code and then come back to tell Luda to fold.
@@curthennig9448interesting theory
All that black dye is getting to his brain
won the minimum every hand lol.
Hey you win the max when you know you’ve for sure got the nuts
thats ture!
I know it's the in thing to bash Mikes poker skills but he played the hands about as good as one could play them.
What's scary is at the time of me writing this there are 161 clowns that agree with you and somehow think they could have gotten more value.
Poker is definitely alive and well in 2024. Thanks guys 😊
Its impressive how Mike tries really hard to make the min when he coolers people
Mike is so good at knowing what people have after the cards are flipped.
The official swaps in By-bit has lagged!!!
I just put up vid to show this
When you swap it gives you almost x 8#
Mike Matusow has the card reading ability of Daniel Negreanu... as soon as his opponent flips their cards over.
Luda is substantially better at deep stack cash than everyone else at this table
How to get the absolute minimum when you’re on a heater
“Don’t touch me, I’ll call security.” Lol
Thank you poker gods for mike Matisow! 😀👍💰
Lol I love Mike he's been around for a while in been playing poker it's funny to see him on hcl trynna nit a sweater
Mike on a master class on how to win the minimum on flopped sets !!!!
How many sets can Mike get
DID MIKE JUST CALL WITH TOP SET to the river?!?!?! (on the flop)
lol
Nothing like getting a massage while you're getting stacked...😂
The stack usually goes higher during a massage session.
@@curthennig9448mine always goes down. Every time.
Matisaw, I beleive, used to be a well known player. But was he ever good player? Who remembers?
Or he always was a bad looser and bad winner? The only televised hand I remember is when he almost cryied after nasty slowroll from Shaun Deeb
Was never what you'd call great...then he went on his meth binge and I haven't seen him until this stream,. That binge was a good few years ago
Poker players used to play a bunch of games so it wasn’t all about if you’re not a great hold em player then you’re bad at poker.
He cried when Raymer knocked him out of the WSOP back in 04 or 05.
LOL that first hand with 88 was like watching two guys at 1/2 play poker. Scared of everything lol
Luda knows Mike wants to lock up profit at end. Prob would have folded even better than AJ in that spot.
I honestly cannot believe Chris folded that. Chris literally never folds a set like that. He usually just gives a speech then just rips it in.
Mike made it so easy for him to read his hand. Even Luda knew he was beat with bottom set. Unreal
Exactly.. Luda NEVER folds a set there. I know Mike is uber nit but you just can't fold a set there. Especially Luda.. WTF?
I love how red Boogs gets when hes tilting 😂😂
I like how he was talking about how he takes bad beats well at the beginning 😂
Three sets in a row and wins the minimum on all three hands
Mattasow is the epitome of a player who only wins when he runs well
Wow what a come up for mike
This is why you do not do meth
I have borrowed 10000$ to Tom Dwan. He still didn't pay me back :/
How many years so far?
Me too I called him about the heads up money he's owed owed me from FTP.
It's so nice to see Mike happy. I wonder who owns his action here?
Probably Phil.
12:40 before the flop even came I figure there would be an 8 and a 2 the way Mike was running.
best title i have ever seen in a yt video
Why 3 bet top set on such a dry flop?
Never seen a heater like this on HCL ever. That was nucking futs
How?
Tom dwan owes my my girlfriend back he called her his wife
Imagine not raising set of 8 in that spot 😅😅
MataWhatever plays like a prizzy
Wow Luda folding that set was awesome! Playing the player! Knew Mike relishes his chips more than most.
What a good man shew 😊
Welcome to the Min Value Mike show starring the Mouth.
ridiculous fold by Luda, he was going through a lot of effort to fold that set of dues
God he left so much money on the table
What a fold from Luda with the 22. Sick.
great fold by Luda , but at the same time .. Matasow doesn't really seem to have any bluffs in his range when he takes this line and he doesn't really have overpairs either so it seems like Luda can't beat any part of Mike's value range. Amazing fold but i see why he did, It's never a bluff , and you can't beat any portion of your opponents value range unless he somehow has an over pair or a two pair type of hand
Hearing Mike talk about all the things he knew after every hand would get really annoying for most human beings.
He literally played every hand wrong lol
Good job Mike!
NICE FOLD LUDA!!!!
That was really funny when the mouth gave away Luda’s $
15" POKER HAAAAARRRRDDD
The lodge is better now
Mike still a spaz
What a fold
Mikey 100% has pptsd...poker post traumatic stress disorder
he had a lot of substance abuse, so he is mentally probably not that well of, esp. since he lost his ability to learn/improve/adapt ~20 years ago.
such a good run but a shame Mike didnt play with deep pockets, like dwan
Did he hit a set 3 hands in a row or am I tweaking
Nice fold, Luda
"I knew I should have jammed this..... after he sees the guys set of threes...only to say 2 seconds later, I thought he had 910" which beggggggs the question Mike, why would you jam if you think the guy had the nuts? Mike is the best in the world at knowing what move he would have made after he gets to see the other persons cards. Love seeing that junkie live the life he is destined for. Guy is a degen to the max and someone you hate to be around in a poker room, especially if you are losing having to hear his voice and arrogance.
MVP Luda Chris man
Mike snapping off Luda and then handing out $200 to the table is a straight BOSS move.
The mouth probably lost all that before the week was over.
"Mike Setusow" strikes hard
Mike Call the Clock ⏰ For Luda Bro!
The "9000" raise and Mike calling faster than Luda can grab raising chips is just... Let's just say I would have called it a day.
No wonder Mike was in debt in the first place
All pretty obvious plays. Nights running that well are great.
Mike “win the min” Matusow
Mike flopped 4 sets and 2 of them were against lesser sets. Also 1 of the sets were against trip's. That is running like God but yet he did not win the max and he did lay down top top against Luda 10 high. Any elites would end up with the max
It wasnt top top
luda cris can dish but cant take it
World class Fold by Luda
I knew had a set but he might have had 109 what a cabbage
wow chris
Luda says don't touch me if that Alan Keating is touching him he would not be saying that hahaha right eh
nit is betting into 6 people and luda kris bluff raise trp barrel, iq 1000 move
When you are hitting this hot, life is good
6:45 Francisco asks why he went all in… just two days ago I turned top set of kings. I check and opp bets 105. I jam because I only have $30 more (135 total) and he ends up folding. I asked to rabbit hunt the river and it was the case king which would’ve been a $300 high hand 😭😭😭
love that the legends come to L.A and show those rich dudes how its done
will the commentator be silent for a second?
How good can he run shesh
I hate when dealers say the amount of the bet
I used to play poker for 3 years straight for almost every day. At that period I have dealt AA three times in a row, made quards 3 times in an hour, made 3 straigh flushs and one royal. I have NEVER hit a set (any set) three times in a row. That seems like one in a billion. Any math people here to help me with the odds?
Hit a royal flush is harder to make 3 of a kind in a row... You play texas holdem?
The probability of getting a 3-of-a-kind in a single hand is approximately 2.11%, and the probability of this happening three times in a row is about 0.000943% (or 9.43 in a million).
The probability of getting a Royal Flush in a single hand is approximately 0.000154% (or 1.54 in a million).
It's more likely to get dealt a 3-of-a-kind three hands in a row than it is to get dealt a Royal Flush one time.
I flopped a royal flush twice in a row in Big O (5 card hi lo). Made practically no money either 😢
The last two straight flushes I had were in 2-to-7 Triple Draw and six of my last seven rolled up sets were in Razz
Luda Chris I am speechless wow don’t underestimate him
can someone explain what the hell was that all in with KK? since he had KK he didnt put villain on AK so villain either has AA, 88, or bluff. You dont want to scare away the bluffs on the turn with the reshove, and AA-88 would go allin on the river anyways. Idk but that play looks like a rookie mistake to me.
Dr H had so little left after committing 90% of his stack that MOST ppl there are calling pretty much anything at that point. Like Mike said "it's either all in or fold here" and since he had the nuts it's obv not the latter
Not only does Mike only win the minimum, he gives his chips away when he does
Good ish Luda
Luda Plays so fking well
bullshit call the dam clock!
