Absolute godsend, This probably has to be one of the best explained "how to" videos i have seen. I'm a bit late to the party, (so hope you still receive notes) but you honestly just saved me $600. Mech wanted to charge me $871 to do pads, rotos and flush. i did in a bit over an hour and it cost me $210 for parts and consumables.
I don't have a rear sway bar but highly recommend them for any 4x4, especially if you have a lift and carry extra weight, will still perform well offroad.
Hi mate, I understand it to be a variance on the bolt, Min and Max, so a 27+4 only would be a min of 27 an Max 31NM, happy to be corrected if this is not correct.
Hi my name is Dennis I have just put new brakes in to my triton and what is happening they have started to smoke do you have any ideas what’s going on please thank you
Hi mate, I actually have to get my brakes done at a shop due to not having the time or piston compressors to do the job myself. Do the wheel bearings need any adjustments done to them during the brake swap? I want to make sure I'm not getting shafted for unnecessary work being done. Love your videos!
Now that we are mates 😉 I’d love you to properly explain the 4wd setup on my new GLS Triton. As I understand it “2H” means rear wheel drive, but really only one wheel drive. “4H” means rear wheels (one wheel) and front wheels (one wheel). Which is still only one wheel drive because of the centre diff. “4HLc” means lock the centre diff so really only two wheel drive. One front wheel and one back wheel. With a diff lock on the rear would mean 3WD and diff lock the front diff would mean true 4WD. Did I get it right? Thanks.
as we are now "mates" 😉 yes mate, you have explained it as the book would describe the workings of the triton drive train and my understanding of how its works is the same, you should be writing the material for this channel as you have nailed the explanation of it, please dont go into competition with me 😂😜👊
Not likely. 👍. You’re just too good for me. Besides, I’m in to Woodworking. Your videos are quite simply excellent. Clear, concise and very easy to follow. I’m surprised at your low number of subs. Still it will grow I’m sure. You should try to partner up with one of the big names like TJM or ARB to showcase their products. I’d love to see you do a video on...bullbars, diff lockers, driving lights etc.. Are you in Sydney or Melbourne?
It looks like good a good video but if you made a small mistake it could cost you more . I think getting the talk setting correct would be a very important step. Plus buying all the bits and peices to do this job could cost so it may be easier to take it to the mechanic. And no you have a warranty. But thanks for you great videos service my ride.
Found out that the rear rotors and calibers are similar but the process is more convoluted. Took twice as long as the hub needs to be thoroughly cleaned to receive the new rotors and reduce the risk of runout.
Thanx Service My Ride, great vid m8, very helpful and great detail, i can now confidently take on the same job on my MN Triton, thanx again. Tony.
Thanks Tony, will cover the rear brakes in the next episode

Great vid , good.to see more Aussie content for working on cars , using your vid as a guide to do my Nt Paj brakes
Hello, very good video. In Spanish should be great 😂. Even though, you show everything very well. Thank you very much.
All joking aside, you really do make exceptionally informative videos. I’m now subscribed. Cheers👍
Do you have a rear sway bar on your Triton. What is your opinion on them? I’m thinking of having them installed to reduce body roll.
I don't have a rear sway bar but highly recommend them for any 4x4, especially if you have a lift and carry extra weight, will still perform well offroad.
@@ServiceMyRide brilliant I was worried it might affect the off road ability
Hi love the videos mate. I just don't get the torque settings...
27 +_ 4 nm now does that mean plus or minus 4 nm?
Hi mate, I understand it to be a variance on the bolt, Min and Max, so a 27+4 only would be a min of 27 an Max 31NM, happy to be corrected if this is not correct.
@@ServiceMyRide thanks mate. I thought the same. Cheers. Keep the vids coming!
Good video mate I will be doing this on my mn this weekend.
4x4 Camping and Adventures whens the big move mate?
ive never really had to brake the bleed nut to repress in the piston, i usually just open the brake cylinder resvoir lid and go
awesome mate very helpful! gonna replace a set of pads and rotors on my PB challenger. gonna follow this step by step.
shouldn’t you apply brake lube to the ears of the new pads and the clips, so they slide?
I like your headlights. Can’t find them in UK.
Bought them from Mars Performance here in Australia, Not sure if they ship overseas.
Wow! That's an amazing and easy to follow video . Gear job on the video you're like a mini Chrisfix
thanks, will take that as a compliment, POV is the best way to show you guys how to do it, just takes twice as long to film every episode
@@ServiceMyRide also I subscribed

So nice information 👍👍👍 thanks
I asked for a 4wd brake front brake rotor change and this is not any use.
Thanks, excellent video.
Mate very helpful great !
Those rotors probably came from my warehouse! :D
sevensixtwomm they are super quiet and smooth, I picked them up from Bursons in Penrith, if so thanks for sending them to me 👍
Ahh, I work in thier QLD warehouse, so maybe not :) Good to hear they go alright!
Great, Thanks. Yes rear brakes please
+ 1
great vid mate now show the rear brakes🙂🙂🙂
Thanks Dan, that will be in the next few weeks 👍
Love it!

Never put any grease on the hub. The warranty of the brake discs is immediately out
thanks m8! 😉
Looks like a video from chris fix
