I usually check out several videos on whatever subject I am looking at but this video is so well put together and so informative that I won't need to look any further. Thanks Revit Auto.
My guy. Thank you so much. Brilliant. Bravo. Done a lot of different car brands fords being my favorite but you are straight to the point no informational no paytrion bs. Thank you again. Western Washington
Been trying to find which Slide Pin goes on top and on bottom for these Lancer models. At the start of your video, the Pin with the rubber bushing is on top and the Guide Pin is on the bottom but at the end you put them in the other way. Does it not matter which one goes where? can't find a decent answer anywhere, some say Bushing pin on top some say on the bottom
Its a great precaution to have that on so you dont get too low on your pads. Now if you regularly rotate your tires you can simply check everything over before you put the wheels back on! Happy Motoring- Blair
Here my issue.. 2012 Mitsubishi lancer ES, brand new caliper, pads and rotors. The brake pads are loose in the bracket. So every little bump, I are them knocking in the caliper. So they're loose up and down in the bracket and I've tried 3 different brand of calipers and pads for this.... I tried rebuild calipers and also brand new calipers. I have done a looooooot of brake jobs on different cars and this issue I have only happened on my 2012 lancer. Any advice would be much appreciated!

What is the size for the rotors and or pads for the '11? The auto store can't tell me which one I need because 2 sizes for my es pops up. I have the OEM on still.
I have the 2014 ES when I first replaced my rotors the ones they gave me were too small went back to the store I ended up trying the ones for the GT and fit perfect for some reason they mix and match the parts for the Mitsubishi Lancers along with the air filter I have to buy it for the Mitsubishi Montero sport because the one that comes up in the system does not fit my car strange I know
Hey Richard! If one comes my way that has drum brakes I’ll be sure to film that for you. I have not seen another Mitsubishi Lancer since that last video! Are you local to Washington DC?
13:00 The ballooned seal happened to me too but I was able to completely get it back in place by releasing the air pocket under the seal. Basically I lifted the seal slightly to let the air escape. I followed this video to do it ruclips.net/video/ezYhKfiTcBw/видео.html

Thanks, Now I have the trust to do this myself. Note. The torque specs was a nice detail. Thanks
I hope I'm asking the right queation about the torque wrench, how many lbs (?) do you set the torque wrench when tightening the bolts in?
why did you remove the caliper as you can do it with removing one of the guide pins and flip up caliper
Use an old brake pad as a softener between the pliers and the piston to protect the seal.
That works. We would appreciate it if you subscribed to help us grow and continue creating repair videos to help everyone. Happy motoring!

If I drive a manual lancer can I leave the clutch break up or should it be down
Just a quick question mate, what's was the ibs torque from caliper to the rotors
@revit auto will this work on a 2013 lancer se?
Is it me or did you overtorque that caliper mounting bolt 11:06
At 11:06 I am torquing the Caliper Mounting Bracket bolt, not the caliper mounting bolt. All good from my perspective! Happy Motoring!
At 8:25 would this clip be necessary? My old pads didn't have it, so I assumed I didn't need the clip on my new pads.

Steel wheels or alloy rims? The little insert with the Mitsubishi logo in middle of the alloy wheels get loose and sound like a rattle.
GOOD EXPLANATION

@revit auto hi would like to ask if 2013 mitsu lancer and 2016 mitsu lancer got different sizes brake pads or theyre the same?

Front of the Vehicle, Rear of the Vehicle Happy Motoring-Blair
What was the torque spec for the caliper bracket?
Hey buddy! Please check out the video description ! It’s at the bottom of that! Happy Motoring!
@@Revitauto this was 2 years ago but thx anyways 😂
You’re Welcome!!
If you are ever near Washington DC, I will buy you a beer!
Is it me or did you not clean off the surfaces of the rotor?

Good job bro.

What does that little clip on the inside pad do?
At what time stamp in this video do you see the clip?
@@Revitauto 8:25, Little clip on the inner pad. What does it do?

I subscribed. Can you, by a chance, make a video how to replace rear brake shoes drum brake for Mitsubishi Lance SE 2015?

It's ok, i just read the same question in the chat box, thanks
You didn't clean off the new rotar

You destroyed the caliper piston seal.
How so?
With the Channellock when you were compressing it.
Much easier to put a thin piece of wood and use a c clamp to compress the calliper back in. Never mess up your seal that way and it stays even.
dab dab thank you

Forgot to tell us the torque specs for the caliper bud that's the only reason I watched the video waste of time
